pretty much, the bad ones at least....it's rarely that bad in town, but get out on the highway and the dust storms can reduce visibility to a few feet...

oh yeah, riding into a 35mph headwind laden with grit will cause sandy vagina for sure...when you get into it as a tailwind it's like being in this weird silent bubble...

Did you confirm u had stem nematodes?

the soak out technique? when u cut up then soak the stems in a bag of water, let it sit for 5 or so minutes. then top drain the bag leaving an inch or so water to collect in the corner of the bag. then scope the water?

they flee the stem and into the water, then sink to the bottom of the bag. then with the bag tillted to one corner they sink into that corner. then the inch of water u can scope

if u continue to have problems. University of Amherst has a plant diagnostic lab u can send samples to. they will test soil or plant tissue for any known disease, bug, nematode, pathogen or deficiency.

you goto there bookstore an order an pay for the foriculture disease, foriculture insect id, foriculture nematode . a complete test is $150

https://www.umassextensionbookstore.com/products/list/92

fill out the questionnaire/form, label it as hemp if you worried (mass is a legal state) then send samples into the address on the form.

I never did confirm it. I just assumed it was stem nematodes from what I read. Either that or some sorta virus. Everybody that I saw online that did confirm to have them found them by cutting open the main stalks and using a 200x scope to view them there. I only have a 60x loupe. I didn’t know about the method you described. :dunno: Plus all of their symptoms and pics matched my symptoms perfectly.

Hopefully I never have to confirm. Ever since I threw out anything that even looked dudded, I haven’t seen any issues...knock on wood!

Next problem I have, and there’s always gonna be a problem, lol, I’m gonna come find you on here cause it seems like you’ve had and solved about everything I’m gonna run in to. Surprised you’re not in the cannabis infirmary on here more... :tiphat:

Thankfully i havn't ever got a dud. I do add some Chito when I remember to. If I had to guess there are eggs in bagged soil. When the conditions are right those eggs hatch. I think heat is a catalyst for them to hatch. The only time I see posts about it are in Summer.

I’ve started to add chitosan occasionally to my veg and mom plants too. Figure it can’t hurt. And definitely agree about heat activating them. As soon as it got hot, the dudding went into hard mode! :biglaugh:

Ive never had a plant dud out on me either. I was worried about GG4 for awhile, but it never happened. The super strong aroma Jacobs Ladder was loaded with trichomes, and you could smell it from a distance. I came out one morning and the trichomes were gone. I probably didn't even tell you guys. It sounded crazy to me, and I was looking at it. A big plant. This was maybe 5 years ago. I didn't know what to think. Now, I believe it was attacked by broad mites. They do eat trichomes. I let that plant go and never should have, blueberry, orange, and kush notes. Oh well...

I've been chopping, plucking, hanging and dehumidifying for a over a week now...

Got 3 more big girls to come down this weekend!

I can see I need some more sterlite boxes to store the dry branches in until I can trim it all...
