ok FB how about 'Hand Held HID club' jk

alright I'll think about a new name and if anyone has input please feel free to post!

originally i liked the '70w' name but now there are people posting with lower and slightly higher wattages and I dont wanna say 'No you cant join our club!!!'

So lets think of a name that can and will include HIDz under 150w.

Well then go back to being bored. FAST! Those are some great ideas. I know I said no "micro" but "Micro HID Club (50, 70, and 100 watt)" ain't bad at all. A complete newbie could see that title and have a good idea of what they're about to read.

Hi all, im about to start a 70w grow soon! id just like to say, with respect to everyones opinion here, that i personally think that keeping it as the 70w hps club is a good thing because it is specific - would it not be better to have the different wattage threads seperate, because then if someone is using a particular wattage bulb, they can go straight to that thread to get info and see what people are doing with that particular light? rather than having to search through a general thread for the particular info they are looking for? just think its alot less hassle this way and alot more clear if you get what i mean? i have followed this thread for a while and have got some good info and seen some great work with this light, and it would be a shame to have to sift through a load of posts to find what im looking for. just my opinion of course :)

Hello all. Been followin this thread for some time now. I have a 70 watt hps stealth dresser cab that I have done one run in already with a Juicyfruit clone I was given. after I take cuttings i flowered her out for 10 weeks and ended up with about 27 grams dry. she was about 16 inches high at harv time.

Most recently I added a 70 watt cmh and 65 watt cfl in the middle of the hid for a total of 205 watts mixed spectrum(1900k 4000k and 2700k). with a new veg/clone chamber in the uppper 24" of my dresser with 4 Ata Tundra seedlings 3 unknown bagseed(Diesel x Dream we think, def diesel lineage) and one Juicyfruit bonsai mom under another 65 watt cfl

I am starting a staggered SOG, aka perpetual, in the weeks to come once I have established a healthy mother plant of the Ata Tundra, Diesel and Juicyfruit. Currently I have 2 UNknown Indica bagseed and another JF in 3rd week of bloom using Humboldt's conventional 3 part base following their 10 week moderate feeding schedule, and grandmas mollasses, at one tsp per gal, through the enitre bloom period sans flushing

I have to take pics w the digi yet and will post very soon.

BTW love the club here, It is what made me leave my old digs and sign up on ICMag. :headbange Cheers

So here is my stealth dresser cab. 70 watt hps, 65 watt cfl. have a 70watt cmh but the temps were getting a little too high in the upper 80's. so I unplugged for now. need a bigger fan, maybe a cooltube even to house the hps and cmh
the exhaust is in back on the door. I need to relocate it though for some stupid reason I put it in lower bottom corner. I had a brain fart and never fixed it. It is passive with slots cut into the bottom with layered plywood to prevent light leak. for odor control I found a scnted gel tub near the candles at lowes I stick that near the exhaust fan(120mm case fan) and it works 100% the whole way through flowering

upper chamber houses the mother/seedling/clone area under a 65watt cfl for now. I have a 36 watt pl-l id like to put up there but couldnt find a ballast locally as of yet, I have a grainger here if anyone has a part#
both areas get air via two volted down pc fans. I run the exhaust at full speed as I have the cab in my basement now with a dehumidifier to mask sound and too also keep rh in check in the cab. Ive got everything dialed in where my plants are lovin it at 40% rh and temps that range from 65-76.
anyway on to the pics:

its old home where it got emptied and built

that is emergency blanket from the mart(not wally) 1.60$ looks crude but it works, I think. I will look to get peel and stick from diy store that I saw in another thread, maybe this one cant remember.

Juicyfruit at day 18

4 Ata Tundra from WWS, with 3 diesel crosses in backgrnd from a slice I bought. all 7 are 3 days old

Cola of JF day 18

bagseed day 18 flower

This is my first harvest from this cab when it was single chambered. I took 9 clones from a young JF clone I received and flowered her out and ended up with what is up top 14.2 grams dried.. I had more that were already hung not in pic 28.5 grams worth. 42.7 grams total from 65 watt cfl 2700k off a single 13" JF. post a pic of her when I find the sd card

How about a 2ft 40W Fluorescent club? ;)

This is my 1st & 2nd grow, Its a reveg of my first grow. I just started LST'ing it to make it into a short bush. The first grow I was unable to get clones so I let it grow very high before flowering. But this time I want to keep it very low and thick wile I work on cloneing.:watchplant:

The day after LST started x2 pics

Does anybody have this fan running with a filter? How does it perform?

I made a filter with my 3000rpm and had it running on 9v. I put an incense under the intake and could smell it slightly after running through 1/2" of carbon. It could EASILY handle more than an inch of carbon than you wouldnt smell anything.

But what I was thinking of doing was just tune down the voltage to 7V and see the results with that. I think it needs to be pulled through slower to achieve better results. Plus the 3000 rpm kaze fan has a great static pressure rating!

The reason why I'm looking to get less specific is because a lot of the same principles and techniques that are involved with 70wHPS can also be used in other lower wattage systems! So its kinda like a library for Low Wattage Growers.

And honestly I dont care if the same question gets asked 15 times throughout the thread. I know how scary it can be to look at a thread that has over 100 pages and try to look for an answer in there.

So I say for all the newbs, just ask away instantly with any question you have and we would be happy to answer you!

LWG would be cool tag for that.

heres some new pics for today. I received something nice after work.

These are two Sativa clones of Hawaiian lineage. not sure how old, possibly 5 or 6 weeks. one went into flowering and one in veg to mother out clones for production.

These are four unknown diesel crosses I was told. cuttings that were taken 30 minutes before pics were took. I am using a tried and true method of cutting and stickin in the soil. My mother has been doing it for years with 100% success, not with pot of course but different sorts of houseplants and herbs. figured Id give it a try as my friend was trimming his mother.

new hawaii in rear left

the fourth Ata Tundra popped, little small though. others are growing fast. 2 diesel popped third is bunk I think. Hawaii on right waiting to produce cuttings.

Just thought I'd pass this along. E-conolight has 70 watt metal halide pendants for $10.00. This would make a great veg light with 5600 lumens.
