Anamial fuck like a beast. I once smoked a fat joint of cess with el duche from the mentors.
you a drummer DK i have been playing guitar a long time . I liked Zakk best out of ozzys guys. was in badlands for a while too.
you are right im dead wrong. and it was jake that i ment to say...love sabbath dio years and ozzy post sabbath. Randy was good but i feel overrated cause of the plane crash and guys like ronnie moore and steve how were the 1st to bring the classical guitar to hard rock. but wasnt popular till randy...how bout quiet riot?Zakk was never in Badlands, it was Jake E. Lee who was in Badlands.
As far as my favourite Ozzy guitarist, it has to be Randy Rhoads. One of the greatest metal guitarists of all time and his career was so short. He completely redefined metal guitar with his classical approach. He started the whole neo-classical sound. Guys like Yngwie and Michael Romeo claim him as their biggest influence in developing that style of playing. Zakk has nothing on him and he'll be the first to tell you that.
Cool story actually. Zakk's bullseye signature guitar design originated from when he first started playing with Ozzy and the crowd would throw things at him when he was onstage because he copied Randy so bad (same look, same guitar) so he decided he'd might as well put a bullseye on there.
I used to be a big fan of Zakk when he first started with Ozzy in '88 and his first project, Pride & Glory, was fuckin' awesome, along with his solo album (Book of Shadows) but it was a steady decline after that. Not only did he have tasteful playing back then but his voice was incredible too. Both have suffered. Don't get me wrong, Zakk is a beast on the fiddle and I'm a fan, but it's hard to deny that he could have been so much more.
