I mentioned Steve Vai on a previous page. To be honest though Satch and Vai are too diverse to really lump them as just metal. They have metal songs but they do so much more as well.
Lynch and Warren are both some of the greatest of all time but I was strictly talking skill wise. Both very skilled obviously but they can't even begin to scratch the surface of the most skilled.
Anyways, kind of getting off topic. I didn't mean to hijack your thread and turn this into some sort of metal guitarist discussion. Apologies.
