We got fined by the cops in A'dam for rolling wid bikes that had no lights or something. I was kinda too high and the cop spoke way too bad english for me to care. Never paid the damn ticket either. Will they throw me to jail for that one on my next visit, if they find out?
Anyways sounds like a fun idea. I'm down widdit, if i can make it to the 420
Hopefully my favorite shop will be full of cured hazes.
While the Dampkring has many great flavours, but they move very quicky as such the curing aspect is often non existant. Their smaller but equally endowed sister often has a slight edge on this regard. They both make great fuel up shops before the velocoaster ride
I'm having missamsterdamasytisis, thankfully I have some of my own hazes to smoke now.
Don't expect any type of weather in Amsterdam and be prepared for any type of weather.
Georaphically Amsterdam is very close to the ocean, and in the northern part the world. This means that weather is fast changing but rarely extreme.
I have never been on a trip to Amsterdam, when it did not rain and I have also never been on a trip to Amsterdam when the sun did not shine. I have never made it without any windy days also I have always had days were the wind was unnoticeable.
For bike riding you will want a jacket that does not let the wind through and it is somewhat resistant to rain.
I almost always ride with a toque(hat that covers ears) and I always have a pair of light fleezy gloves with me. Wet & numb hand are lousy for handling and rolling cannabis.
In regards to the temperature be prepared for anything between 4°c and 20°c and you'll be just fine.
Hmmm, I've come to an impression that Your bicycle tours may be available to guest pass holders only (got it from Dutchgrown's post 'bout the passes). Is it correct? If it is not, how much would it be for renting out a good bike and going on a cruise with you?
I'm sure if you just rent a bike TF would let you ride with for free. For Red Light Tours i think he charges quite a bit but its worth it. Keep on rolling TF.
I don't charge any $ I just hope for participation at the coffeeshops, the more people pitch in the more flavours we try. All you need is a bike and eyes to follow, (if your blind and dont weigh too much, I have space for 1).
I don't do red light tours, it's the worst place to ride your bike in Amsterdam.
Luckily this year the main venue is not in the RLD.
IMHO the red light is best toured by yourself and not on a bike, there's plenty else to ride. lol
There are many places to rent bikes and it shouldn't be more than 10€ a day, usually the longer you rent the cheaper the daily rate is. Spending more on a fancier bike is pointless(imo), gears are NOT needed and the likelyhood of your bike being more attractive to thieves increases.
trich....thanks for the heads up. Last time I was in Amsterdam it was the dead of winter. Canals were froven over...they even had ice skating races on em. Needless to say I am looking forward to warmer weather for this trip. I've grown up on the coast of Northern CA so I know what you mean about fast changing weather and the need for layers. Looking forward to it....
the bike rent came to something like 25 to 30 euros for 4 days last time. you need some id to leave with them while you have the bike. the cheapest bikes are the old fassioned back pedal braked ones lol. which takes a moment to get used to, but is great fun once you get into it.
the trichomefarmers bike tour was one of many highlights last year and i look forward to this year if all goes according to plan. i got the plane ticket a few days ago and have sent the dough for 2 judges passes for me and a friend last monday. now i just have to hope that the euros actualy get where they are going, lol.
Yes i was only joking about the RLD tours. No offense to the wise TF. Just seemed like kinda funny a question but i have riden with you so... Yes+ the construction going on in the RLD around the cannabis college sux too for biking. Anyways i can't wait for the trip out to the Katsu again. TF got me liking that place. See you guys in de dam.
Hey kov, nice to hear that you'll be there man. it will be cool to finaly meet. i like those old bikes, they even have a basket in fron to put stuff in. they give you two locks with the bike which one should use at all times. a mountain bike would be overkill as its mostly flat.
good news; my judges pass is mine lol. ie payment made it once again, hip hip hooray for the postal service. those haze hunting bike tours are comeing closer, lol.
