I remember a friend of mine told me that he went to the HighTimesCannabisCup.
WHen he arrived at schiphol amsterdam airport, there was a bus with some superfly coffeeshop logo willie or something and they offered to give him a lift to one of the coffeeshops. He got in the bus thinking he was going to amsterdam (first time in holland). 1 hour later he finds out the bus is going to bloody haarlem. too late!!!! hahaha no way back!
Once in haarlem he arrives in this wierd ass coffeeshop with some semi decent smoke and it took him a whole 5 hours to get back to amsterdam finally. my friend was really pissed off with the driver who refused to bring him back to amsterdam after, so he took the train and a cab. he told me never to fall for that one!!
I hope this suprise isn"t included in the 420 trip to haarlem package....wowowowhhahahahaa, count me out of that part.

Ok so I still don't get it, where does all this money go? $ 350 is a lot of money to be asking when most people here already complain that $150 for HTCC is too much.
If 200 to 300 people come, the 30 growers who compete need to give the cup organisation atleast 300 Grams of weed sample each.
As far as I know, they donate this amount 300gr (min. 1,000 euro street value), since they don"t get any money for it from the organiser and I assume you will also need to pay to enter/register as a competitor....or maybe not, however you will still need to submit enough sample for every one to get 30 samples each.
will the organisers pay each competitor 1000 euro for their sample????? I don't think thats realistic.
So I would like to know where does this 350 euro go?
a canal cruise costs like 8 euro p/person.
don't get me wrong, I am not saying anyone is cheating us out of our money, I would just like to know what justifies giving $350???
if its just for the weed samples than the organisation will make PURE profit...smart business sense for them, but actually contradicting themselves. with High Times they have bands (i think this year they flew in kottonmouth kings and skeletons), big venues, exclusive coffeeshop access, goodie bags, free parties at big clubs etc etc and that for $150...
can anyone answer this for me, or am I asking too much????????

For that 150$ you get a lil something but you have to buy your own weed man...for that 300€ or something you get a shitload of herb all around the world instead of a promobag of some schwaggy shit, but you choose, no-one says you have to go anywhere so why bitch about it?

i am not bitching man, I am just asking questions that I think should be answered properlly because of the love hate relationship between HTCC and ICMAG/420 CC and all the controversy spread here about the event, I think they should atleast justify where the money goes since Steven Hager is countlessly reffered to as a greedy bastard.
I want to go to the IC 420 cup, but $ 350 is a lot of money to spend for one day.

you are not very clever are you mr Spin meister. otherwise you would realize, that; a i'm talking about last time it was official, and b; 30 x 1 g samples cost you around 300 euros in amsterdam coffee shops. but it all depends on how many entries there are. you are taking a chance, there might only be 3 entries if your unlucky. there was three days worth of events and outings and harlem was a highlight. the 420 boat was touring around the whole time with sounds and a vaporizer on board, total party boat. but you better listen to your friend and don't waste your money, don't let me trick you into the harlem trip either mate?

last time it was official it was 30 gs that had to be entered for the growers cup, but these things tend to change year for year as things are learned through experience.
if you think GN or anyone will be making a big profit from such an eventual event you are mistaken, he will cover his costs or there abouts.

nor do i know where he came up with that sum, i think the judges passes where like 250 and the guest pass like 150 last time, but then it got cancelled so everyone got their money back.
