after waiting a couple of hours, he went to look for the train station, with his luggage, finally found it, took the train and 5 hours later he was in amsterdam.

so I found this info in the forum about the $350 but I guess thats not official because it isn't anywhere else to be found. it seems like that was the price for last year.

i get your point FJ sort of. I was a bit critical in my first post, but I think I got that attitude from reading other posts. and when i read it back, its just asking some questions and not blaiming anyone of stealing or being a crook.

I remember a friend of mine told me that he went to the HighTimesCannabisCup.

WHen he arrived at schiphol amsterdam airport, there was a bus with some superfly coffeeshop logo willie or something and they offered to give him a lift to one of the coffeeshops. He got in the bus thinking he was going to amsterdam (first time in holland). 1 hour later he finds out the bus is going to bloody haarlem. too late!!!! hahaha no way back!

Once in haarlem he arrives in this wierd ass coffeeshop with some semi decent smoke and it took him a whole 5 hours to get back to amsterdam finally. my friend was really pissed off with the driver who refused to bring him back to amsterdam after, so he took the train and a cab. he told me never to fall for that one!!

I hope this suprise isn"t included in the 420 trip to haarlem package....wowowowhhahahahaa, count me out of that part.

never mid reading the 420 threads, did you bother to read this thread? i mean i listed up a lot more then a boat trip and a visit to haarlem. still you go on about 350.- why? fully ignoring that the weed samples alone would already be worth 350, even if it was 350, which it hasn't been up to now. but it might be a good protection to put the price to 500, lol

yeah i can see, that you still don't get it, maybe try rereading the answers you have received so far. htcc was 200 and included no weed samples officially although some coffee shops were giving out their samples.

If 200 to 300 people come, the 30 growers who compete need to give the cup organisation atleast 300 Grams of weed sample each.

there will not be that many judges passes available.

As far as I know, they donate this amount 300gr (min. 1,000 euro street value), since they don"t get any money for it from the organiser and I assume you will also need to pay to enter/register as a competitor....or maybe not, however you will still need to submit enough sample for every one to get 30 samples each.

will the organisers pay each competitor 1000 euro for their sample????? I don't think thats realistic.

i did answer this before, but here goes again this is not a huge commercial event, you only had to enter 30gs for the growers category cup and much less hash.

a canal cruise costs like 8 euro p/person.

you keep on about a canal cruise, how much do you expect them to fork out to have the privilege of your company. i mean a venue, bands, dj's it all costs something.

don't get me wrong, I am not saying anyone is cheating us out of our money, I would just like to know what justifies giving $350???

if its just for the weed samples than the organisation will make PURE profit...smart business sense for them, but actually contradicting themselves. with High Times they have bands (i think this year they flew in kottonmouth kings and skeletons), big venues, exclusive coffeeshop access, goodie bags, free parties at big clubs etc etc and that for $150...

can anyone answer this for me, or am I asking too much????????

its a three day event, with partys, grow seminars live music visit to botanical gardens by 420 boat

if you want to enter you will have to assume it's gonna happen and prepare. the info for this years event, (if there is one) will be up closer to the time. that will include the costs of the different passes.

you are not very clever are you mr Spin meister. otherwise you would realize, that; a i'm talking about last time it was official, and b; 30 x 1 g samples cost you around 300 euros in amsterdam coffee shops. but it all depends on how many entries there are. you are taking a chance, there might only be 3 entries if your unlucky. there was three days worth of events and outings and harlem was a highlight. the 420 boat was touring around the whole time with sounds and a vaporizer on board, total party boat. but you better listen to your friend and don't waste your money, don't let me trick you into the harlem trip either mate?

like Farmer John says no one is holding a gun to your head man, in fact it might not take place at all. not in any official way. then again it might, we will just have to wait and see. but why not wait with complaining till you see the official info with a time table and price for guest passes and for judges passes? see what's being offered in the way of music venue etc?

again, you make assumptions with nothing to back them up. my problem with the htcc was solely the fact that Ultra-Haze made the overall cup. i found the rest of the judging was right on que with my own findings. that is all.

yeah i'm sure GN will appreciate your style. although you won't get info for this years event until it's been officially decided upon.

the problem is you don't come across like you are really interested in the answers, but more in stirring the pot to see what floats up. had you shown friendly interest, everybody would have been filling you in.

I can't wait for the 420 cup...Was all set to go for the last one but it got cancelled, should of gone anyways!!! This year I am going if its offical or not. And if it is, I will wast no time in getting a judges pass. $250 is a great price for everything you get.

the most important thing about being at such an event is to remember to eat enough food and drink enough water. you do not want to be the casualty who drops in his tracks from too much smoke and too little food.

what else? oh yeah rent a bike, it makes it a lot of fun. specially for the haze hunts with tf.

be ready for rain and sun.

get ready to smoke more weed in three days then you might ever have before lol.

enjoy the unique high from walking into a coffee shop and having a joint with your drink and food.

visit the dampring, tweedekammer, katsu, bush-doctor and homgrown fantaseeds for nice glass bongs, also the grey area for nice stuff. sensi seeds to hang out as they don't sell, rockreji, green house, bulldog, if you want a beer with your joint and a place to sit with a few people and chill or party. there are many coffee shops worth a visit. too many to list here.

oh yes another tip, go to haarlem (if it happens again) and meet Nol while visiting one of his coffee shops, or even private party room for a huge smoke out, last time he ...it was a great party and it's worth it just to find some of the better grown strains around. those places are too far out to live from tourists, they are supplying locals, so the same strains are cheaper and mostly even better grown then some in amsterdam. Nol is a real nice guy, very interesting and he was so hospitable to us.

Wasn't sure if better the first time to go during a "quiet"time, or during this big event, honestly as a noob and such. Thanks very much for the replies. Was gonna go in dead time of Jan or Feb, but the more I read bout this deal here.........hmmm...... Plus I got a little excited 3 weeks or so, and throwed out some beans, so I gotta wait for them, of course.. And the airfare from US has been dropping a little, I AM keeping an eye on that.

Also being a newcomer to the event and trying to get set up ahead of time... would there be any benefit to booking a few rooms together for some members at a local hotel? Just crossed my mind and I figured maybe some locals or even frequenters of the event might know. Every little bit of savings would only help to further enjoy the actual stay there.
If so it wouldn't hurt to possibly book some, or a block of rooms. As I said, just a thought.

Yeah i dont think anyone should need to pay for a pass to try my weed, especially when the passes could be snapped up by a bunch of assholes i never heard of and then all my buddies are left without!
The cup was good but to be honest the unnoffical one was better and thats coming from someone who was had a judges sample bag for the cup.

Although i will definatly enter if the cup goes ahead (plus send lots to share) and also buy a few judges passes for myself and friend.....either way im in and can guarentee anyone who comes an amazing trip that you will cherish for ever.....the judges pack are gonna be amazing, i went through my judges pack in 2 days and the following trip to amsterdam (2 days) i spent about £250 on weed (far far inferior to that in the judges packs).....i dont really need to sell the trip, just go read the threads from the previous 2 years).

About my stupid friend who was tricked to go to haarlem, EXCUSE HIM FOR NOT KNOWING THAT AMSTERDAM (on his first trip outside usa) IS SMALLER THAN A 1 HOUR DRIVE.. and sorry for not knowing that there are other coffeeshops outside amsterdam participating in the HTCC. his first time in Holland, he came to be in amsterdam and ends up after a long distance flight in haarlem with a driver with an attitude who won't bring him where he needs to go. sorry but i would have smacked the dude.

that's a very good point truecannabliss mate, i hope they don't sell the passes to just anyone. we want to have a cool party, not a stressed out argument session with some freaks who just want to fight.

i also liked giving out my own samples, was fun. but the thing is it isn't anonymous that way. we will see what is planned...
