I use Adjusto Wings and they are all set at the same hieght and width 2 over each bed might just be the photo making them look different the light spreaders are bullshit and dont do anything..As far as lower growth we only strip a very small amount with the coco beds and 14 day veg and its always done a little at week 2 through week 3 .. If we let the plants get big we strip a little every day week 2 through 3..Straight out of the bag we just pre charge never flush with straight RO we pre charge at 550 ppm A&B and 100ppm cal mag.
I will look at the AJUST O Wings tomorrow but we have been killing it with them what ever way they are... We Never let Coco dry out never! In veg we water every 2 to 3 day to allow the roots to produce a solid root mass but that happens really fast in coco its a huge solid root mass Then in flower we water once to twice a day the more small watterings we do more often the better the results we have. We also have great results just watering once a day it all works ..You could get away watering every 3 days with no issues just not with a chow mix But with the chow mix watering twice a day I have never seen a plant grow so fast...As far as ballast I have been using Harvest Pro's ,Quantum and now Solis Tek Matrix and im lovin the Solis Tek Matrix no more lighting control panels and timers..I Really like them And Bulbs we use Hortilux either dual ark or Hps 1000 watters..That should answer most questions..Hey man thanks a lot for your time and info I really appreciate it. Yeah avengers are the same as adjusta wings. Apart from your power chords are black and mine are white.. I was wondering what width setting you have them on?
What bulbs/ballasts are you using?
You mentioned watering twice a day in flower, or once a day if you're lazy. Do you not wait for them to dry out or do you have better results just keeping them wet?
I can make out that you have the tension wire probably around the wrong way?? The end of the tension wire with 1 stopper is supposed to go on the side of the shade with all the varying width settings, the end with 2 metal stoppers is meant for the side of the shade with only one hole of the stopper (the 2nd stopper on that side is only for grip as you set it up). It's hard to tell from the pics so I might have it all wrong.. I just thought I saw one of the wires sticking up.. it'd of course still work the same and would fit in with your bulbs being that low..
Thanks again for your info it's really helped. You have raised the bar. K
No problem bro..Nice work!!! I've been wanting to run with Aptus for the past few months. Now it looks like a must... I'm glad peeps like you take the time to share info... Much respect!!!
Its 8 bags per 4x4 for a total of 16 for every 4x8. And with Hydroton 2 bags and 4 bags of Coco either way works great...Say one more good thing, and I think I am going to order bro 4 real... Trigger finger is itching to pull on this one!
Also seriously contemplating them beds.. Man they look sweet, and recycling sounds so much easier... 16 bags per 4x4 is a lot of coco, but with re-using I think overall you save from the numbers I've been running..

i have never been accused of taking good ganja pics, sorry bout crowding yer thread, if ya dont want the pics here let me know ill move em.
i will be happy to update you in 4 weeks, i am hoping a dramatic increase in quality even if it doesnt put on a single ounce of extra weight. your grow is SICK by the way! got me trying to figure out a way to do beds for trees in a vert room. right now i chop, zyme, and reuse my coir....would love to skip all that unpotting/repotting
Ok let me try to answer some of these questions first off as far as employes I am part of a collective so we have patiense who trim usally around 10 people come in to trim.. As far as how many people I have 3 that I over see they have daily things I give them to do but its all on my shoulders as far as what we give the plants and when.. I bust my ass every day I work 7 days a week,As you know its alot of work... We have one person in charge of moms and cuttings thats there only job and its the best thing we ever did. It really all starts in the mom room..The pump is a Grundfos no need for a shut off valve or relay with these pumps there bad ass...We do 16 drippers for every 4x4 tray or 1 dripper for every smart pot the pump runs each zone so basicly it can water as many zones as you need.60 plus light rooms no problem..We have different size rez's from 2000 gallons down to 100 but for every 20 lights or 10 -4x8 trays we water 100 gallons that gives us 5 to 10 % run off they get cleaned weekly along with all the fans floors and walls we bleach everything and change out air stones after every run.We had been using Cana Coco but had issues with fungus knats coming in it along with a few other quality control issues.. But now where using Gold Label COCO. As far as nutes we Monday We feed base plus Aptus, TuesDay we feed Capulator Tea,Wednesday Base nutes only Thursday Base Nutes only, Friday Base plus Aptus, Saturday Base,Sunday Base and so on.. PPM vary but usally around 800 up to 1500 just depends on what I see the room and plants doing some take more some less..Co2 is never above 1100 ppm any thing higher seems to hold them back from getting big real quick.. I have tried every combo thats the sweet spot..You are correct there is nothing in a bottle that you can buy that will put your grow on this level But if you work hard and love what you do Aptus is a great nutrien that will put you a step above the rest..There is a million ways to skin a cat this is the way I skin my cat...Aptus,
This is truly something new to the community, thanks so much for sharing with all of us. I have a ton of questions but will ask them slowly, I'll try to still give you time for a beer at the end of the day. I know how time consuming it can be to manage pics AND posts, sometimes it seems like a second shift on top of the normal work.
How many people are working in there with you per 20 light room, and are they equal team members or mostly unskilled workers?
What kind of pump is that I see connected to the PVC inline in the photos (the big black and gold one) and how many drip sites (or tables) does it supply? What's it called and how much do they cost?
How many sprayer/waterers do you use per 4x8 tray? Is this a constant, or do you sometimes use more/less?
How many gallons are those reservoirs? How often do you clean inside and wash them out?
What kind of coco are you using, I'm not sure if you explicitly mentioned this?
Are you using r/o? I'm assuming so if you max out at ~900ppm. Do you vary the feed strength throughout the week (with base and/or PK) or keep it constant?
I've been managing a single 50kw for some time now and employ ~10 people for trimming and odd jobs/cleaning, but it seems that the level of detail and cleanliness you maintain far exceeds the hours I and my team am capable of putting in.
I currently use b'cuzz coco in 12" pots and water every other day by wand (cutting edge plus several additives). My room usually takes ~300gal per feeding with 600 pots in the room. I love your results, but clearly it would be very expensive to use the Aptus. However, I think there's a lot to be learned from your meticulous style and hard work. I also love the idea of reusing coco (ordering 3 pallets per run adds up), but I have too many reoccuring issues with root mites and other bugs for it to be sustainable.
It seems to me that your nutrient switch is merely the last piece to fall into place, seeing how clean and routine you run your rooms. I'm extremely interested in following your example but will need to take it slow and steady - what I'm seeing in your photos is a quantum leap from where I currently stand. Props and hats off to you for introducing something genuinely innovative and remarkable
