3 weeks in with Aptus shits blowing up around here..

I jumped on the ship. Running one of my facilities on the Aptus boosters. Once a week. All in promix with PBP as the base. 175 lamps. Looking good so far. I'll update when more rooms start coming down.

I had to take over another facility and they were running everything on a one part using Flora Nova. I was really surprised by how great everything looked on the simple nutes. When looking at the bottle I was pretty surprised by all the micros FN includes. Got some Boron and Molybdenum in it. Some of the goodies of Fasilitor.

Buddy of mine runs FN on a nice size grow always comes out killer, I'm running H&G plus aptus, caps bennies, and sea green.

Hey Jack giving the Heavy one more round but wondering if you supplement the Canna coco nutrient with a calcium supplement the whole grow or are you just supplementing at the start of your new cycle? Thanks for all your work.!! Chow mix is just hydroton/coco mix. You can run any ratio's you want. For example I'm growing larger indoor plants mini trees in a 75/24 hydroton/coco mix.

Calcium is one of the ticks to Aptus we try to follow the exact Aptus feed chart but it just depends on strains I wish life was that easy.. But when we feed just base we do not use anything but base and sea green once a week with base. If they look like they need cal mag then we will add some but we very rarely have to add anything but what I have given on my weekly feed scheulde, Foliar feeding with tea until the end of week 3 really keeps them shiny and green..JACK

Vag I respect your grows and comments. Yes grower skill trumps all but I would like to just offer my two cents.

In my defense, if "Jacks Condoms" turned the average 6 into a 10 (which I think is a fair comparison of his skills to the average user) I think we would all be interested in finding out what brand he uses. Even if we could only make it work for a point or two.

This thread is about Jack showing off his skills tiphat, showing us how he rocks it, and us asking for clarification about what gear he uses and how he uses it. This is a CRUCIAL step in understanding the way he rocks it. Nothing can replace grower skill that is obvious. But in a world of sealed and dialed rooms a good base plan established around gear and the choices made with it (lights, medium, nutrient lineup, genetics) can make an average grower much more potent. Besides what is wrong with trying to clone Jacks method?

With all that being said, I am going to try my first Aptus run next time. Why did you choose H&G over Heavy 16 or PBP? Have you run the others? Do you have any suggestions for fine tuning the H&G base with the full Aptus lineup. Thanks Bud!

At the end of the day the all the base nutes work good with Aptus if I was in pots I would rock Heavy 16 , But since where in beds CANA COCO is easier to flush every one is worrying way to much about base any good base nute will work and each grow is different look at how many guys love Pure Blend Pro, I have not had such good luck with it but im willing to give it another try.

Looks good If you need more spray remove the blue washers from inside the octa bubblers, trellis height depends on how long your vegging and how many plants per 4x4 with a 14 day veg we put it at 12" above the top of the cutting the more you veg the heigher the trellis goes and every strain is different some dont stretch some stretch 5 x there is no one answer to any of this stuff nothing is ever that easy,..Jack

quick question, on your drippers, do you get even flow to each dripper with having different length lines going to each one?

Length of line makes no difference with flow in the octa bubblers in a 4x8 tray .. Thats hydo guy talk they always say shit like that your lines all need to be the same length..

I gotta know where you get those metal racks your tables are on

We make our own and have them powder coated or just paint them we do a 1" slope on each end for drainage 1.5" square tubing welded any one with a small welder can make them for cheap.

There are some idiots that think its a huge conspiracy and im in with Aptus and the base nute companys and there paying us to come online, If I was being paid or getting free nutes why would I hide it I share every single thing about my grow and buy all my shit.Its the one thing that gets to me when people say I get paid by them its completely false, The only thing I ever received for free was an air pump from CCH20 when I found out they used my pics in a add with Rose bud with out asking me. They sent it for me to use but its still sitting in the box..Its a bad as Regan blower pump too..Oh well just like the guys who think Aptus has the same shit as phosperload .. The only thing we use in veg is Fasilitor and Start boost with base, And we foliar until the end of week 3 unless the plants need something..JACK

Flow is pretty even, but thanks to jacks idea of putting 16 heads per 4x4 even if one is lacking a little the whole thing is still gonna get saturated. Also I picked up the stands from the local hydro store I believe they are from sunlight supply and they're called fast fit stands or something like that, they weren't cheap.

Are you air cooling those hoods ? If not You will do much better with Adjusto wings...

Yes on air cooling the hoods I have to man I live where it's 120 degrees all fucking summer and the property is out in the sticks with only 200 amps, 125 of which I brought into the garage so im a little limited on how much ac i can run. I already took out the washers do to you mentioning that back awhile ago. And last but not least if your ever in Vegas and want some company I'm about 45 minutes away my buddies got a penthouse on the strip and is as connected as Wayne newton in that city always interesting.

I mix it all in a tea each 20 k room gets a 20 gallon trash can of tea dumped in a 80 gallons RO and hand watered. some times we give double that some times way less nothing is ever exact but 20 gallons is a strong dose of tea 5 gallons if your a baller on a budget Add sea green to the tea rite before you put it in the rez spray the tea all over your plants when you water up to week 3 flower... All these little details are starting to be time consuming good thing I have other hobbys going to be gone for a few weeks working on some new projetcs and revamping some old, All the info I gave should keep every one busy for the next 5 years....

Its not going to work like a PGR it will not stop stretch it will make them branch out a little more but wont stop stretch.. Sure you can use it by itself...

Just wanna say viewing your thread here literally made my nuts feel smaller. Aptus is pricey as hell but im gonna try it. Its organic too? If i run it with house and garden aqua flakes in a dwc or a flood and drain im hoping it kicks ass. As for using it "like a pgr" i just wanna use it a 2x strength like the video states and reduce the dreaded stretch all true ogs exhibit. If i can keep stretch down without making a perfectly medical product into poison i would fucking love it!

Natural gas is the only way to go for a burner either 8 or 12 will both work we usally run a 12 burner in the big rooms 20 k plus, I do not miss the days of changing tanks and propane.. Just dont buy the CAP burners they are junk the Sentinel are the way to go, I replaced 10 CAPS before I found the Sentinels ..

I would not run Aptus in Deep water culture.. Drain to waist is where it performs best. And good luck having it stop stretch all together beacuse it wont it will help a little but not like the bad stuff..JACK

Jack, do you move your lights to stay a certain distance from the plants as they go thru stretch or keep them at a fixed point the entire run? Do you feel that they stretch less if the light source is closer to the canopy?
