Hey Jack how big are the squares on you trellis? They look like 6-8" its hard to tell from a computer screen. Thanks for sharing knowledge.

I am also wandering about the comparison to H&G since they don't have a grow and bloom base.

I should mention that I am in coco using the aqua flakes base instead of the coco base, but i am going to try the Aptus line vs the H&G additive line... The cost is close to the same.

I got my aptus ordered yesterday.
Figured what I had to use a week and bought sizes accordingly. So the aptus ran me ruffly $1048 with free shipping from hydro source. I will get exactly 6 weeks out of every bottle to the tee with just a little left over on a few. Which for the next six weeks Ill be able get with away with $850 for the next 6 week round.

Im looking at $1225 with shipping for 6 weeks. With a harvest every week. Hoping for a 10 to 15% return on what Im doing now.
No brainer. Not to mention jack did all the leg work. So the schedule is auto pilot.

Hey Jack giving the Heavy one more round but wondering if you supplement the Canna coco nutrient with a calcium supplement the whole grow or are you just supplementing at the start of your new cycle? Thanks for all your work.!! Chow mix is just hydroton/coco mix. You can run any ratio's you want. For example I'm growing larger indoor plants mini trees in a 75/24 hydroton/coco mix.

Don't you guys understand, you can't follow everything Jack says. He found what works best for him in his environment. Thats what all good growers do. Dial in the environment they are working with. Adapt to every situtation. He is still tinkering with his nutes seeing if he can dial it in even more.
The owner of Aptus like PBP. Jack uses Heavy 16. I use H&G. We all use what we have felt works best for us.
Aptus is an awesome additive. I support and stand behind that statement 100%, but you can;t just ask him what gear he uses, buy it and expect to hit those numbers.
All grow rooms are different. Do what works for you.

Vag I respect your grows and comments. Yes grower skill trumps all but I would like to just offer my two cents.
In my defense, if "Jacks Condoms" turned the average 6 into a 10 (which I think is a fair comparison of his skills to the average user) I think we would all be interested in finding out what brand he uses. Even if we could only make it work for a point or two.
This thread is about Jack showing off his skills
tiphat, showing us how he rocks it, and us asking for clarification about what gear he uses and how he uses it. This is a CRUCIAL step in understanding the way he rocks it. Nothing can replace grower skill that is obvious. But in a world of sealed and dialed rooms a good base plan established around gear and the choices made with it (lights, medium, nutrient lineup, genetics) can make an average grower much more potent. Besides what is wrong with trying to clone Jacks method? With all that being said, I am going to try my first Aptus run next time. Why did you choose H&G over Heavy 16 or PBP? Have you run the others? Do you have any suggestions for fine tuning the H&G base with the full Aptus lineup. Thanks Bud!

I 2nd this.
Flow is pretty even, but thanks to jacks idea of putting 16 heads per 4x4 even if one is lacking a little the whole thing is still gonna get saturated. Also I picked up the stands from the local hydro store I believe they are from sunlight supply and they're called fast fit stands or something like that, they weren't cheap.
