I've notices the Aptus website has adjusted their feed calculator.
Now recommending mass boost every week, including veg.

So during the first three weeks, while weaving through the trellis, is there a design or technique to it that makes things easier at harvest time? I love using this but holy shit, at the end its like solving a puzzle lol. Just wondering if anybody likes to avoid branches crossing or sending them all one direction or any way of avoiding this confusion. The extra weight is worth it don't get me wrong. Also if someone else went over this or asked this, im sorry. Please refrain from cutting my head off.

Jack talked about how it did in fact make harvest more difficult, but that it was worth it.

i believe he said that if harvesting your woven scrog wasn't a pain, you're doing it wrong.

I made the mistake of putting 2 different strains on the same 4x8 I did so much tucking and weaving on one side waiting for the slow vegger to catch up that there was just no room left to weave once stretch started. with a little pinching and super cropping I was able to get a pretty even canopy. cleaning up the mangled trellis at the end of the run is not fun, but the amount of tops you get makes up for the inconvenience

I saw noticeable differences in some strains when adding mass boost on the old schedule of weeks 3,5,7, so when I saw the new schedule of using it more, it was something I wanted to try anyway. Next I'm going to try week 3 through 7, then maybe 1-7, probably wont mess with veg for a bit

Just started using Aptus... noticed that the boosters, the PeakBoost in particular, are really jacking up my ppms. I'm using gh flora and in week 6 I run 2m/g micro and 9m/g bloom which normally gives me ppm's of around 500-550 (tap water at 50ppm included). After adding PeakBoost, MassBoost, and FinalBoost at recommended dosage from the calculator on the website my ec finished at 2.3 or 1150 ppms at 50%! Added 600ppm to my mix... I'm sure I measured right, is this normal?

i asked jack about how to make harvesting easier. he mentioned if you dont have to cut the trellis net away you are doing it wrong.

its definately a pain in the ass cutting away all that trellis and figuring out how to pull the branches out without breaking off nugs.

Curious if the superior hood by Phillips is replaceable like the Gavita.

I know the Gavita's hoods are meant to be replaced as they, like all reflective hoods degrade with time.

Guys'

Here are the major differences between the new Philips light and the Gavita:

1. The Philips reflector design was developed to drive heat and hot spots away from the lamp. If you notice the twin fin design that Philips inset in the actual reflector, this is what prevents the hot spot from occurring so fiercely on the canopy.

2. Attached digital ballast components ensure the highest efficiency to the lamp. The more breaks (plug adapters) in the line, the less efficient the lamp will run.

3. Gavita buys the bulb from Philips, so you'd think Philips has the technology locked down.

Even 4. The fact that you have to replace a reflector on a Gavita every year is a horrible attribute of the light. Have you ever had to replace the reflectors on your air-cooled lighting in order to maintain solid numbers?

I have never replaced my air cooled hoods and my numbers have gone up steadily. Been running em for like 5 years.

Does anybody know what kind of stands these are?

I believe he told us a few pages later. They caught my eye as well,
they ended up being to pricy for me. Check out snapture tray stands
or you could build your own with furniture grade pvc and corrugated
roofing panel as the table top.
