H+P"must say im really suprized eddie, I thought that k2 was a puka smoke, and heavy yeilder to boot"

what you say is exactly right man...it's awesome and if you want to grow commercial quantities of really strong White weed then it's not difficult with this K2 cut-but some righteous growers have given me some of the finest ganja available to humanity and i've only got a little growroom and somethings got to give-youknow what i mean. Don't worry the cut won't be lost-its in good hands

cheers kids-update later

now you've done my head in about the K2, H&P, it's the whitest weed in the room and the buds are sooo hard-look

but given the choice of keeping that and loosing ExodusCheese, or Bakloweed , what would you do?

Ok-i ran out of Coco nutes last week so they got just straight PK13/14 for 3 days then just water and hygrozyme for a further 2. Bit slack-because got a bit of yellowing on the lower leaves-at the end the plants were screaming for N. Don't know if it will affect the growth of the buds.

Room is taking between 20-25L/day. Temps have been getting up to 30 at times-normally 28c lights on/ 18c off. The plants are having Topmax now @ 2ml/L.

Madsat seems to be doing alright-if the buds join up and fill out it should be a big yield. The smell is so wierd like lemons and brake fluid and v strong already.

M32-the buds are unusually large but a bit airey.

And the Saturn. It's like a tower.
Still a bit of curl on some of the thinner leaves and light burn on some nearest the lamp. I'm wondering how i could have been so dozy to put this plant in the same tray as the K2-can i get a witness?

Hi Kids
here's the dripper system that i knocked up today. A res with a pump (Microjet 320L/h)connected to a tube blocked at the other end. Individual dripper lines come off of this tube with adjustable dripper stakes at the plant end. There is no re-circulation involved-any runoff goes down into the hydroton filled trays and the plants suck it up later.

So all i've had to do is get it running, adjust the drippers so that each plant is getting roughly the same and then time it over 15mins/30mins etc. Quite easy really. It took about 1hour to deliver 8L through the 7 lines-so i'm thinking i'll have it on 4 times a day for half and hour at a time-then tweak it to balance it with plants water needs etc-

last 2 pics are Saturn in foreground

and an early cheese trich shot

..........and moving swiftly on to day 49 of 12/12 and no major issues this week. The drippers seem to be working ok-but it's a bit of a fiddle adjusting them so that each plant gets the correct amount. Also-if you leave it just to the drippers then the coco on the surface, furthest from the dripper, tends to dry out a little too much-as has alrady been noted somewhere in the coco forum. Not sure where to go with that one.

I say no major issues but the smell is fast becoming one-caught a slight whiff out side the house this evening :yoinks: so am going to have to seal the room up a bit better tommorrow.

All the plants have been getting the same nutes ec 1.8 ish / ph 5.8ish-a dribble of Topmax and Hygrozyme and thats it.

The pics are limited because its difficult to get in there now:
M32

I'm pretty certain that Mysterious has got things a bit muddled up, he's done it before, because there's no way this is a 10week sativa. It's a short bushy thing with massive buds thats nearly finished in 7 weeks. He got a few sats muddled up with the hash plants that he did to a friend and i'm wondering if he's got a few ?Hash plants mixed up with my sats. The pistils are going orange all over so i guess it's time to get the microscope out. I haven't sampled this one yet.

Madsat (DieselX)

the buds are building nicely and they've all gone quite white-smell is endlessly fascinating-lets hope it's not harmful eh?

K2

bang on time-the hardest buds in the room-white all over.

Madsat/M32/K2

This week =Ripen for the K2+M32 and then the chop. Need to get them out asap so that i can pull the madsat buds down into the spaces and drop the lights down on them for the last few weeks
cheese-a bit of popcorn trim

cheers

cheers Gaius:) you're a nice man and a good mod too

anyway thats enough of that-.......i chopped an M32 plant down yesterday here it is

the smell is quite unpleasant-like the acrid smell of sweaty armpits combined with a musty tang. Vaped a bit last night-it has an indica wack with a bit of head action-i'll stick it in a bag and give it to the Mrs. She's a medi-user.

Every grow has a beginning and an end-but the beginning is at the end and the end at the beginning-except if you get busted then the end is somewhere in the middle. The new beginning is in this box under my desk with a couple of CFLs.
I do cuts more or less like everyone else-couple of points 1. Pearlite-put the rockwool cuts on a bed of pearlite, they will root faster. Pearlite does lots of good things-when you first add water heat is produced through a chemical reaction-it also acts as a thermal insulator retaining warmth and preventing any sharp fluctuations in temp/moisture. As well as this, unless utterly waterlogged (and i mean floating about), it draws any excess water out of the cubes and leaves a near perfect moisture level for rooting. And it keeps the roots in the dark.
Other point-when you first take the humidity domb off of the cuts laying a sheet of cling film over them will raise the humidity (beneath the film) and reduce any shock that they may experience with a sharp drop in humidity.

alright darlin'-watch out for that Madsat-i tell you. So far it is the only weed that i won't smoke at work-and thats fucking serious-its got a pleasant body stone but a head charge that make things a bit too wierd-and every time i've smoked it my vision has gone strange too-youknow the way haze makes everything seem clear-well this has a similar effect except its not clear-its trippy. Only dried out a few popcorn buds at week7-so i'm guessing that the ripe bud will be quite a bit stronger- :yoinks: lol

anyway-here is the single M32 plant-the nasty smell has gone-now smells a bit piney-and a bit like some of the resins that come out of wood when it drying

plants are on GH Ripen now-about 1.8ec/ph 5.8-6.0. I spoke to a guy in the week who says he gives them Ripen from week 3 or 4-as soon as they form buds. Now it says on the label that it sends a chemical message to the plant that it is going to die-not that it actually kills the plant. I did an experiment by pouring the 50L res of ripen on an oriental bush in the garden two weeks running. The flowers swelled up so much that it got top heavy and when the wind blew nearly pulled it up by the roots-until it snapped. Its still alive tho.

I've also noticed in hydro that the 'Ripen' effect is pronounced at each fresh res change-so am thinking about maybe adding it a little earlier to one plant on the next run to see what happens

cheers

I find this too eddie , and not a big deal, it only tends to be the top 25 mil at max........i find a layer of perlite on the tops reduses this slightly and is good for preventing pests entering the meduim.

looks a top show man........if mj was made legal today theyd still have that madsat on the A list :woohoo:

9weeks ish

9weeks ish

yo 24red -bullseye-h&p cool guys cool

i've put some hydroton on the top of the coir to retain moisture-good idea mate

the M32 and K2 plants are in the drying cupboard-pics show Saturn and Madsat- and there is a little Cheese plant that i'm about to cut down

The M32 buds are pretty crap-they are soooooo airey its unreal-those massive buds hardly wiegh anything so bit of a bummer. The smoke is ok-it has a touch of the metalic/graphite flavour that Afgahn/Kush leaves in the nose and throat-and a bit of a generic piney smell. I'm getting terribly picky these days.

In the spaces that been created by the removal of 3 plants i've dragged and bent the elongated branches on the sats so that the buds are more evenly spaced. This involved alot of pain in the ass screen cutting and fiddling around. Also released part of the screen from the wall-moved the canopy closer to the cooltube and aimed the reflector at the remaining canopy-all this to get the most out of the sats during the last week or so.

The Saturn plant has weeks to go-but there are a few orange pistils on the madsat

i chopped the cheese down and have been flushing the coir because i'm going to re-use some of it. I poured about 5L through the 11L pot each time. The run off from the first flush was ec 2.77/ph 6.1-and yet the cheese plant was looking and growing well. The second flush got the ec down to 1.3-the third down to 0.9. My tap water is around 0.5. I learned that such high ec values are ok in coir if it is kept wet.
