3 new flavors in cook's kitchen

Yeah Rodriguez, you and I are thinking on the same wavelength, bro.
I think I'll be using the same sort of tack n twine hookup toget ol Betty Rubble as happy as can be.
Dude looks like a lady... LOL :biglaugh: Again, I was thinkin the same thing. And I can tell you I'm in no way dissapointed to get 1 male. In fact, I was kinda hoping for it :D
the Sour Bub 2 and G13 were great last time out, so I know I'll like those. The BM is starting to look like it has some promise as well.
As far as the camera shots...I have only to thank the good folks at Nikon, and Mrs Cook for buying me such a sweet camera. This bad boy cranks out awesome photos with very little knowledge or effort required on my part.

Yesterday I gave everyone their final transplant. It was a little later longer than I should have waited on the indicas, but right on time for the Betties. I'm JUST keeping up with them. now they have lots of room to stretch for the rest of flowering.

betty rubbles 6 pack sounds like a nice tight technique man, good choice of bending over betty ford and letting those side shoots give the main cola a run for its money too :sasmokin:

I wonder what they each produce respectivley given their slight differences. :chin:

when you mentioned you might apply even more outward bend to betty rubbles 6 pack it reminded me of a grow i did a while ago i used thumb tacks pressed into the side of the pots, then just used twine or thin rope or even rubber bands to pull out my side branches, it worked a charm with getting more light in there.

hahah Betty Davis the dude looks like a lady :biglaugh:
sorry to hear of your male but hey, you may want to use that pollen for something interesting, it may not be useless after all, some nice crosses perhaps?

sour bub and blue moonshine sound like a nice menu to order from until the thai is ready!, nice growing bro :canabis: great to see those betty's kicking it strong.Youve made their maker very happy by the looks of it Billy Goat is smiling from seeing those pics for sure :sasmokin:

haha you even got plants behind the deep fryer aswell?
those g13's are looking mighty healthy for re-veg efforts, lovely camera shots too :joint:

Thanks Indigo. coming from you, that means a lot. You're a lady who knows her cannabis :canabis:

That poor Blue Moonshine male that's in that pic has been sequestered to the "men's room" :pointlaug:
just like for us human type males going to a public restroom...... We get a small, dark, cramped, uncleaned room that has a hole in the ground with a tire around it. The ladies' room is a huge, lavish, well lit place with couches and perfume, and ornate fixtures, and lovely music playing. :biglaugh:
It's all true. My "male cabinet" is a teenie tiny little flouro cab crammed full o males as I decide which one of them I like the best. A couple of them look particularly outstanding . I have a real nice sour bubble 3 male that's gonna get set up on a blind date with one o my lucky ladies
Thanks for stopping by Indigo. Please keep in contact in case these 2 sativas overgrow the place and drag me in as their prey. :biglaugh:

2 orders of Blue Moonshine

2 orders of Blue Moonshine

here's a quick look at today's special:
Blue Moonshine from Dutch Passion.
These are the 2 girls that I have. Fairly similar in appearance. Very nice fruity smell goin so far. Not so much like blueberry...so far more like Juicyfruit. We'll see what happens. Judging by the frost and smell they have this early on, it should be some good smoke.

Looking good Cook, where's the color? lol. To bad you didn't get the color like the JPL seeds, but your girls are looking Super. Forgot to ask you what your feeding them, all your plant and the PPM. Was wondering if you try to feed them alot or just enough. Looking good, keep up the great job.
Later,
BG

here's another look at the 2 g13 re-veg I have going. They're doing surprisingly well for something I revegged and chopped part of the root ball off of :biglaugh: (In my defense, they did get new soil under their trimmed roots)

the first one is the shorter, fatter, heavier producing one

(caution use sun glasses ahead)
the second is the FROSTY one! and it REALLY packs it on in the last 2 weeks.
I'm still a monmth or so out

Well, i'm about 30 days into flowering now.
For the indicas, that means halftime! A bit longer on the Thai.
First off, here's a look at my 2 little DP Blue Moonshine girls.
They're small, but they';ve got a BIG BIG smell. Niiice fruity smell to them. Sorry GDW, no colors yet. But SOON I hope. They have that dark blueish green look like they're just dying to turn purple, especially the second one.

The G13 re-veg sontinues to do really well. Hell, the 2 plants I've re-vegged are almost as big as they were the first time out.
My favorite is still this incredibly frosty one.

By the time she's done flowering, she'll be hard little resin balls on a stick! LOL
She'll be in the cook's kitchen for a long time to come.
And now... The THAI!
On both the Thai, I'm trying something new (for me)
I picked this up on a thread at OG. Even though I grow in soil, I've covered the top of the soil with a layer of hydroton. The idea is that hopefully the roots grow and fill in all the soil, right up to the surface since the top layer of soil isn't being disturbed by watering. We'll see if it works.

First off, Betty Rubble

She continues to fill out well. We're gonna get a nice yield from this one.
In the lower portion of the plant, you can see the piece of masking tape that is repairing a small branch I snapped :bat: ooops, clumsy cook. It'll heal just fine. As far as the little skewer she's strapped to...well, she's getting kinda top heavy and that was the best stick I had on hand at the time

and here's Betty Ford

After having her top tied down, the lower branches have filled in nicely to balance out the plant a little better.
She'll have some niiiice long buds.
Both of these Thais are starting to put on a little resin, and get some smell. So far, I can't say if it's a choco smell or not, but whatever that smell is....I like it! :canabis:

The last shot here is a closer look at a Thai bud after a light misting (either that or the racy Thai resin is causing her to break into a sweat.) LOL

Stay tuned folks...it's about to get sticky!

Nice going, girls are looking really good. I like the last shot also. Those leafs are looking very nice and long. She is most likely starting to sweat on you. As for that smell, it sounds like you might have the mother's Pheno on smell. She would get this weird smell and then BAM. You got the Chocolate smell in the morning. What i would do is rub the stems and see if they are starting to start to smell like Chocolate. If you get that Pheno, they will change over night. I really like that last shot. She's looking really good. Those others are looking like your going to have some very nice yielder's for sure. Hope you took some clones. Well, nice job and can't wait to see the other plants you got going.
Take care,
BG

outkastt- Thank you. I hope that some day my shows will be as awesome as yours

GDW- I've rubbed the stem. So far they're just giving off the "good weed" smell LOL for lack of a better deescription. Hopefully at least one will get choco smelling before I'm done.

chucky- good to seeya bro. I was wonderin where the heck you went
Dude, seeing your Betty grow last year was the main motivation for me to start these babies. That was one helluva friggin tree you had outdoors. Your indoor clones looked pretty good too. Now it's my turn to make BG and Leeroy proud...wherever they may be. (thanks guys  )

baccas- good to see you, my chatroom borther. I just know yopu'll be giving chucky and I a run for our money with your betty grow. Rock them beans, bro!

I've got a nice little pile o pollen from Betty Davis. I'll be applying it to some of the indicas today. I may hold off on pollinating the sativa. We'll see.

I dunno, looking over my selection of ladies, still the best pairing I can think of would be to dust that frosty G13 with some Thai pollen. Should be an insane cross. I did a small batch o beans last year by dusting a G13 with some of a friend's betty pollen (thanks bro) but some manner of critter ended up munching the beans right outa my plant :bat: (outdoor)
So I'll give it another shot indoors.
Peace, my IC family.

any harvest shots, cook??

what is your opinion on re-vegging??

if you still had seeds of the plant to be re-vegged, which would you do in the future?

i am considering re-vegging a couple of mine...just to try it.

thanks, cook!! :woohoo:

hey all

hey all

haven't actually uploaded any new pics in some time. Some of the indicas have come down, but there's still another 4 weeks :yoinks: for the Thai.
The G13 is even better than the last time I ran it. Got it dialed in a little better. The Sour bubble is nice and frosty as well, but much like last time, the harvest could be heftier. To that end, I repeated the cross I did last time, but with even better parents. G13 mom crossed with a REAL nice sour bubble dad. Hopefully this will keep some of the sour bubble buzz and flavor (especially the flavor :canabis: )
but get the size of the G13. I have a buddy growing out the first cross now that was done with the SB2. So far they look GREAT!
The Blue Moonshines really surprised me with the Blueberry smell. I opened it up one day and that blueberry smell hit me like a brick. One is more berry smelling than the other. I'm glad I'm makin a few beans from them. In fact the daddy Blue moonshine is one o the first males I've had with so many visible trichomes, so they should come out good.
GDW- as I mentioned in PM, I had a little setback with the Thai, as I am hard headed and didn't listen when the brreder told me I should go real light on the nutes. Even tho I mixed em extra light, they immediately started showing some problems with the nutes, so they quickly got flushed (with buckets of water...not down the toilet)
They're back to producing now. Lots of new white hairs, clayxes continue to stack on. Loooong thin buds. And smelly

Sleepy, as far as re-veg, it worked well for me..surprisingly well. It does take a bit of time for them to start to re-veg, but once it starts, they get goin pretty good. Hell, the G13s I revegged looked almost as good as the first go around. And since I had some equipment failures and brain failures, I have few to no clones of the G13, so I'll be doing it again :pointlaug
When you go to harvest the ones to be re-vegged, be sure to leave as many leaves as possible on there to give you the best chance for a successful re-veg, since many leaves will die back.

I would DEFINITELY consider it for that frosty Green Goddess of yours, Sleepy. If you start with seed, you may not get one quite as frosty. So if you have the room in your veg chamber to let it stand around and reveg for a while, I'd say do it! It's kinda like having a clone in that you knoiw it SHOULD be the same as the original, whereas seeds maybe not.

Thanks for checkin in to the kitchen yall. Whoop- got new orders stacking up in the window... gotta get some burgers on the grill.
stay safe, and keep em green my friends.
