2K "15" plant organic living soil - 1st grow

I would feel safe to assume that one root ball is one plant. It would be clear that the old rootball was not alive if anyone with a brain was inspecting the material, as it composted very quickly. But we all know law enforcement officials often lack this aforementioned brain feature. At least there are not multiple rootballs left behind from previous grows. You'd just have a little left over that should be decomposted by your next flower cycle if you're doing the no-till thing and have living soil.

Those are some beautiful shots of the Nigerian Sunshine. It reminds me of good times back in the 70's. Also wanted to give you props for bringing the medibles and medi-salves and oils into the mainstream.

mmm nigerian sunshine! i like it!

i hope my ladies turn out that nice!

they look like they'd do well outdoors too...

Much Thanks ICMM! The props are appreciated :) The WA patients are really glad I offer standardized dosing... especially the newbs and older folk... which has probably helped these products to flow in to the mainstream. I make everything to the same potency (1/2 # dry meds per gallon of oil) so people can determine their exact dosage. Even if they make a pan of brownies, they can divide the grams of medicine in to say a dozen brownies to figure out how much medicine is in each piece. :woohoo:

Its pretty accurate... and basically tests out to be about a gram per tablespoon of oil. Just a tad stronger than depicted.

Can the oils be used in place of butter? And what kind of oils do you use to extract? I've used coconut oil to extract before and it worked well in cookies and brownies.

It's a bit expensive though....wondering if you use any different oils? Also, have you ever tried using lecithin in your extracts? I've used both the granules and the oil and like the oil better.

Coconut oil is an excellent butter substitute for a number of reasons. Much longer shelf life than dairy (great for a retail dispensary situation), just as versatile (freeze it to use for pastry dough even), satisfies more of the dietary needs (especially when offering the goods to a patient-oriented community), you can melt it for measuring easily, and quickly turn it solid if the recipe calls for a butter or shortening element, you can also use it topically for a plethora of indications. This is all beside the fact that its also healthier than butter ;)

I use a variety of cooking oils... canola, coconut, grapeseed, olive, safflower, almond, hempseed, sunflower and more... peanut oil is amazing too. I use cold-pressed unrefined organic peanut oil for medicated nut butters (almond, peanut, hazlenut). It's sooo amazing... Canines seem to pair well with the grapeseed oil, you can also medicate fish oils for dogs like cod liver oil or we can get fresh processed salmon oil around the puget sound that is wonderful stuff.

I've never used lecithin but I'm open to it as far as I know ;) Coconut oil is expensive but well worth it... really not that much more than other quality oils. I get 32 oz. of raw organic virgin coconut oil for about $17 locally. I think that's a great deal! Bulk options through the co-op are always nice but I usually just buy the jars and do a gallon at a time. I would be more likely to substitute oil for butter with the coconut than any other oil. You may have a problem if you utilize, for example, olive oil in place of butter for a frosting recipe hehe ;) when in doubt, use coconut oil for, in or on anything!

i recently got turned on to coconut oil for medibles and i agree that it is amazing. i may never make cannabutter again.

i really love how it doesn't feel greasy. if you get it on your skin, it absorbs and moisturizes. it's actually really nice.

way better than rubbing butter into your skin, that's for sure!

nigerian sunshine huh?!? glad i've got some originals and F2's!!!!!! Nice work MGD!!!

We're all guessing who you are now ICMM ;)

yeah heady isn't it such an amazing topical? I do love it for the rough elbows and heels. I tend to use the safflower/almond oils for regular all body use. My headache roll-on stick is made with only safflower oil so its light for the face and isn't likely to cause any problems clogging pores etc. Olive oil is ok to use topically for the skin but I favor coconut oil so much more~ and across the board for topical/food uses. I only like olive oil for savory things like "yummus", tamales, and the 'rasta pasta' sauces I make.

warthog~ I concur 100% !! MMM ganja eggs. GOOOOOD morning!

Schwagg~ cool!! We made F2's too, we're going to go back and find a better male for our keeper female if we ever decide to work the line.

oh man i'm out of n x bmr seeds, but i've got two pretty gals that have jsut started flowering.

i'm going to attempt to root cuttings taken after stretch. it's my first time trying this, so i'm scared i'll lose them!

but i think nigerian sunshine would reward me well for putting her outside this summer if i can successfully root some cuts.

Hey folks~ here's what I have going on at the new place ;) hehe... too bad its independence day and not april fool's... Wonder what the heck this is! And I wonder how many seasons its weathered! Right outside the front damn door! Right where it shall remain, for now anyway. Takin' it easy after a big move, and also soon focusing on some raised beds for kale and salad greens and a few other veggies. I've got a real nice 5 acres with lots of potential. Hope everyone is having a great summer so far! Sorry long time no update.... life has been pretty damn hectic... but I'll be back in the groove soon. For now i'm busy with processing popcorn buds for medicated goods from the last round... bustin' out topicals and medicated oils for the greater Seattle and Olympia areas. If anyone would like to see some of my topicals and medicated oils in their area, please pm me with dispensary information! Much Thanks~ MGD

I broadcasted a pack of quinoa seeds (tricolor pack) to add some color spots around the raised beds. A couple of packs of various types sunflowers as well - tall, short, in-between and several colors.

It'll feed the birds if nothing else.

ooh quinoa seeds!! Its easy to forget you're eating seeds and not a grain with quinoa. A street vendor in Oly makes the bombest "quinoa cookies" ever. Would absolutely love to see what quinoa looks like all growed up ;) as I've never thought of planting them... and tri color even! I only know of regular and the reddish brown variety.
