2K "15" plant organic living soil - 1st grow

G/Hazes have come down :) Looks like they did even better than last time in this no-till living mulch cycle. There was certainly more stress on them this time with the power outage. Go G/hazes!! They are earning a place in my garden for sure~

Nice MGD!!

Yours are a little larger than mine. I like the smell of them right now.........yummy. Mine have just started to finish. Just a couple weeks now..........or more.

How long did these go from first flowers?

Thanks SS_OG and Heady and Silver hawaiian for the props and checkin in!

V~ Thanks! Its great seeing what they can do. I've been getting to know this strain for a good solid couple years now and its always improving each round. These were taken at 75 days. They finish earlier than that, but the longer they go the more the 'psychedelic' properties get a chance to develop.

Wow the mountains are out today!

wow... took those NL#5/haze's down last night. good yield, pain in the a$$ to trim... most of which CC1 did for me as I had some crazy food poisoning, which probably contributed to me being cranky and not being sure about running this strain again. If I'm going to keep them around the smoke will have to be better than the Kali we 'lost'. Pics coming soon ~MGD

MY opinion of the NL#5 x N. Haze...strong!

This is 'get high' herb...little to no couchlock. A bit racy,a bit of anxiety, but not bad. Not as a pleasurable effect as the Kali Mist, yet this is just one phenotype from this seed group....the only female we have ATM. There no doubt are better effects in other pheno's.

Super chatty weed busy type herb....if you have something to do and need to be out of your mind while doing it..this is the shit.

The smell is super strong and old school....dominates any other types in the room..even the skunk and kush crosses do not stink like this and growing this pheno needs to be done with a filter around here.

Yield is everything they are cracked up to be,big solid flowers that just keep stacking weight the longer they go....these were taken at around 75-80 days.

Trimming was a bitch...lots of those sativa dominant leaves in the way,yet the calyx to leaf ratio is far above average.

I enjoy this herb over my couchlock types...I don't mind the trippy sativa thing..I like it.

This is the 1st grow Ive seen using this method and I gotta say, it freakin rocks! At first I thought you were growing clover to mulch into the soil and then planting the weed in after. This is much cooler than that, though that dawned on me as being pretty neat. Do you see any problem w/ planting clover at guerilla spots? Im sorry, probably could go find it again, but what else is planted in the pots? Id imagine different companions for different life stages? thanks cheers

oh ya really diggin the mt shot. mine are so much smaller.

Thanks Chief :plant grow: Hoping each cycle gets better and better :) This next round should be a little less hectic and I'll have even more time to spend in my garden.

I think it was a mix of clover, oat, barley. I don't see any problem with planting it at guerilla spots... if it doesn't stick out... but yeah that might look quite a bit different than the native grasses that wouldn't likely be very greened up at the time of your cover crop being planted. Not sure where you are, might just depend. You might find something more native that will camo better. You may need to have it well planned out and get out there early. I've only done the cover crop indoors. Try reading through the living mulch thread

Thanks MissGD, Ill def do that. Im actually thinking that the deer would really like those plants. It might be wise for me to plant these as feed patches AWAY from my ladies as well. Or else, id just be settin up a buffet table for them. Cheers

Yep if you are in deer country you will probably have issues like that. Esp if your cover crop is coming up while everything else is waiting for water to green up. If anything, your cover crop will give you an idea of how bad your deer population is, and force you to dial in how to keep them away before the real plants are on the scene! As well as give you a good reason to get out there and get that soil working. But throwing out seed all around the area might help your patch look less obvious and like you say lure the deer away from the sweet spot. A salt lick or two in a strategic spot away from the site might help, maybe some predator piss or something creative like that as well. I hail from whitetail country so I know how pesky doz dang deer can be eh? Let us know how you do~ MGD

Ok, well the last round is just a memory now, besides a little dry weight still lingering :) I'm calling not only the living soil garden a success, but I'm calling the no-till aspect a success as well. I really came in blind as a new grower and simply followed instructions. Ended up with over a lb. off of the NL/Hazes too... 5 - 5gal buckets worth. I do have a couple rough shots that I have to get off my phone to post for schwagg ;) and a couple other NL#5/haze lovers that actually have a thread just for that strain on icmag somewhere....The last harvest of 15 buckets was about 3 and 1/4 lbs. total! I was able to harvest in stages to stay within my dry weight limits. With the new arrangement, I am not utilizing the 15 no-till buckets this round. A leftover concern from the last round was the root balls involved with the no-till method. How does this method affect the "numbers" game. Some folks believe the root balls count as actual plant numbers even if they are not actively flowering or even living for that matter. In theory the root ball should have been consumed by the various microlife living around the rootballs and a fairly quick matter because of the nature of living soil and its fungal and bacterial colonies that break down organic matter. These buckets will be dumped, breaking the no-till cycle, and i'll go through and take a look at what, if any, of the root ball is left to try to get a better idea if its a concern with the numbers as we have to play within certain perameters as legal farmers.

Just added another card to the garden :) , I'm now providing for another patient which bumps my numbers up to 30 plants and I believe doubles my dry weight I'm alotted. It may just be that I'm alotted this 3 lbs dry weight I can legally possess, on the premises only(??) I'm guessing I would want only my personal legal allotment to be on me when moving any weight around.

Have the new crop moved in and ready to roll after a very successful stealth mission :) Nigerian x Blue Moon Rocks, Blue Mystic, G/haze, NL/haze, Hawaiian Kush, Durbin Bubble (Durbin Poison x Blue Moon Rocks) are all on deck and ready for day one of flower tomorrow morning :)

Happy Daylight savings day (as a reminder to those of you with light schedules!!) ~MGD
