I'm right in the middle of it on the MA Coast. It's just a Nor'easter. Pisses me off when the people on the news call it a bomb cyclone. No snow thankfully, just lots of rain, wind and flooding. Hope my power doesn't go out!

Best of luck to our members who are hunkered down for this storm. Feel free to curse those of us who live where the high today is 77 and we have had to mow our grass once already.

You live in the Keys? You lucky dog, you. I've always wanted to live somewhere where chickens roam free lol

We didn't get much here just some rain and a few gusts... so far the year I've been up here the weather we get isn't even comparable to what we got in houston. It's just that the electrical grid up here is so dilapidated and out dated it doesn't take much more than a fart to blow the power in a whole town

my log home has a 4/12 steel roof, with that gentle of a slope the snow tends to hang onto it with the resistance of the thousands of screws in that steel roof, but there was no other way to fasten it to the roofing boards, there still isn't.

so as it warms on consecutive days/nights that snow/ice starts to slide, when whole 10-20 foot sheets start sliding it sounds like the roof is being peeled off it too, that's happening tonight.

nothing in the forecast here for the next week, we did get 'bout 6 inches or so last night, enough to need to be plowed out of course, those $20 bills tally up quick.......

We don't have a plow but my truck has been able to get through about 2' of snow down our private road. If we get a snow that I can't get out of I'll just stay home from work lol

yeah, it's time to think positive thoughts
compared to some other places and times, this is small change
was looking at the greatest blizzard in history
and it was in Iran of all places, 24 feet of snow in less than a week, some villages were literally buried alive
