3-4" here maybe. The ground is still pretty warm. They keep pushing the below freezing daytime highs off. 10 day forecast is usually a good guess.

The geese are getting uppity on the pond. The alpha pair is already here protecting their spot. Usually get 3 or 4 pair nesting.

Yeah it will be a good snow, but I think some melting is going to occur. Its going be a bit of a mess with the ground still warm, very heavy snow, then freeze up! Ice for everyone! Time to go sledding!

Getting groceries stocked up. Squirrels and birds fed.

I got a hardware kit for my garage door. The strong west polar vortex wind and below 0Fs temps we had really cooled down the house as the wind was pushing the door in and made a 1/4" gap all around. Being attached to the house the air really ventilated the house, 30-40 mph winds and all.

The rollers were the issue as they are originals to when I got here 40+ years ago. Steel with ball bearings but so worn they would pitch in. Easy to change.

Need a place to throw darts. The furnace and water heater are in my little single lane garage, so its pretty nice out there most of the time. Need to get it organized a little, its the only place I'll have to go.

-15 f. currently.

We were supposed to get around 2" to 3" of snow. We now have 5" and we're now supposed to get another 2" to 4" through the night. Bleh!!

Our inversion is no where to be found; we've been running 5 to 10 degrees f colder than the airport in town, which is about 150 ft lower in elevation.

But tomorrow I need to do a couple store runs, so I'll be firing up the snowblower in the morning in the sub-zero weather, and blowing what is apt to be close to 8" total of snow.

I used to like this stuff. I think I can remember that, anyway. I'm almost sure of it...

Going to get a pretty good 5-8 inch snow it looks like! Some places could see 7-12 inches! Glad I bought the new snowblower and just got the truck back from the shop last week.

We are at the transition zone line where more rain will occur to our south, so this will be the heaviest type of snow there is. Will put the new Honda hs720 to the test! Get to it before it freezes!

I still have fun with it, I really didn't want to push a month ago, I was ready to relax after a busy season and thankfully it didn't drop much snow and blew away. Now I'm all rested up, herb is cured well, lets do it! Got about 20 small residential driveways to clear!

About 4" wet heavy snow and it's 32F out so it's melting somewhat. ~.20" water. Starting to get into the wrap around soon as the low passes by.

2-3 inches snow and 33F

Yeah its kind of spinning out there but moving north so I don't know what to expect. It sure is wet, this is what you get when its frozen up above and it starts melting before it hits the surface. Warm ground. Hope the snow blows with the snowblower! Let it melt.

Makes sense, we were above average temperature in a large part of the United States of America for January. Hope we get some good sledding in, haven't had our fill of winter yet here.
