Just got a new space :woohoo:

Its about 22'x22.' with 200 amps.

I am a Legal Medical Grower.
This will be a tree grow.

I have a few ideas of how to go about setting this up, I just wanted to see what everyone out there comes up with.

one option is divide the space into two rooms flip flopping.
I like this option for a few reasons.
increase crops per year,
decrease ballasts needed
decrease heat load

I am thinking of running 10-12k on each side
a couple minisplits
a co2 burner and big trees
Oh yeah some nice dehueys

Let me know what ya think, creativity and ingenuity welcome,
Thanks:tiphat:

Over here on my bucket with the first seat.....:moon:......I`ll be waiting to see what else ya`ll come up with , butchas already know my position on flip rooms staggered in age for more crops per yr perpetually and constant flow of product every 30-45 days strain dependent......Hell.......

Heath had so many smaller rooms at 1 time , he was harveyin every week.......anyways HL......Hope all works out Bro......Glad yas got new digs ........

Good luck.....Freds.....:ying:......

I think I will be doing a soil coco blend in 20 gallon smart pots. Running organic teas with biobizz perhaps, maybe just bulk amendments.
I may throw some ppks in there as well.

Part of me wants to keep it one big room and a smaller veg room.
I will try to take some pics today.

Happy Holidays

Tear the roof off that sucka. Sheets of Lexan and shade cloth. Set up some water falls to aerate those fish...makes em shit more.

definitely flipflop, so many advantages so long as you've got good supplemental veg lighting to keep up 18/6. or a fancy lil PLC to keep 18/6 with just HPS.

Put in some major work yesterday.

It looks like it may be possible to build a second floor over half of the room. The pitch of the roof would be the limiting factor...Trees below, scrog above? We will see after the 27th.

I have considered using restaurant paneling in this room, I think I might just go with orca.

I am debating about using a co2 generator....I just dont like the idea of open flames, plus it adds to the overall btus, although it is cheaper and I have heard that they only run for about 1 minute a day.

Toys im thinking about
Iponic 600
Quantum 1ks

I am still up in the air on;
having an A/C system installed or a couple of mr slims...
Sante Fe or drizair dehuey
what size smart pot 10, 15, 20 gal
how to set up the auto feed. I definitely dont want to handwater.

I will be meeting with my partner in a few days and should have everything ironed out.

I have been fantasizing about plcs for a while.

I veg 12on/5off/2on/5off. I notice faster growth with this method. All I have to do is plug in a couple floros to timers for that 2 hour on period.
I am doing this in my other flip flop already and it works great. Delta9nxs is using an 8/4/8/4 photoperiod and I would do this if I wasnt running a flip flop, but its easier for me to continue doing what im doing.

is he going the aquaponic route? if so very cool.

also I wanted to add maybe going one huge room will save you the hassle of sealing off each room and switching your co2 to run in whichever room is on, just sounds it will be more cost effective to run one big room, more importantly keep a journal if your running more that 1 strain and especially if you have not run her before. goodluck!

Just curious, but why the departure from using PPKs?
Im not departing, I am actually revisiting.
I use to grow organic trees in soil coco blend.
I aim to familiarize my self with many methods of growing, ppk, soil, coco, death without cause, etc.

Plant biology and soil science is very interesting and stimulating. I want to learn more about nutrient fixing microbes, and other chemists in the soil.

PPKs are awesome and I am not leaving them behind. I feel blessed to have stumbled upon such a reliable low cost method of growing. D9 if your reading this THANK YOU!
I did a quick google but, what is restaurant paneling?

Its 4x8 rigid paneling. I am sure there is another name for it. Its water proof and makes a good seal. It seems like a waste of money if am going to put some orca film over it.

No aquaponics here. I will be setting one up in the future, for food.

Thanx for the input!

One reason I keep going back to the idea of a flip flop is, it would require less ballasts and less amperage compared to setting up one big room.

Not sure how much time I will have to keep a journal here but I will definitely put up some pics once things are rolling.

I have been wondering how aquaponics would do with MJ. Im building a little set-up in a spare room to grow some herbs and leafy greens under some flouros

Looking forward to your new setup. The flip flop sounds like a more reasonable path to me considering lower initial costs and dealing with half the area at a time.

Here some pics of what's going on.
The first two are the rooms.
Second one is the second story we have built above the two rooms.
4) 10 light flipbox
5) 1k I have 14 of them

I plan on flipping 12k in each room and maybe another 3k flipping upstairs.
