lol yeah it's a bit narcy isn't it. I had put some in an ewc slurry back then and it didn't seem negative but....

I think the stuff is dry now. Man, I got trimming to do! I only trimmed a few while wet. Looks about 5oz. Still haven't got the kids in the cupboard yet. :/

Edit: :woohoo: got my pl-l ballasts! :woohoo:

Halfway through, haven't weighed any yet (still a tad wet) but my guess is still at 5z's. There's still a handful of schwaggy stuff I gotta go through, and the tester bud (half gone now) that are not in the pics. 23w cfl btw.

Man, I got someone working on it but if they don't know how to wire these I'm kinda gonna need a lotta help on this one. Is the wiring diagram on the ballast for a t-8 setup I take it? So how does that translate to a 4pin pll?

Here's a pic I found of it wired up for t-8s, I guess

Would this work?:

Please and thank you :puppydoge I will spell your name out in buds and upload a pic if you can help :)

Thanks buddy. Here are the TWxPDs after I took them out and all the tent pegs came unsprung. They're now in the cupboard retrained under 110w but I'll let em settle in before pics. I had all those crammed under 4 x 18w fluoro bulbs in approx 2ft x 2ft!! The P situation is all good - I didn't realise affected leaves don't recover.

Everybody, go to video.google.com and type in "We're just doing our job", it's a fantastic aussie documentary on the police harrasment of the residents (and tourists) of Nimbin, the alternative capital of Oz. Really clever doco.

Damn, your harvest looks really good.

I've got my dual pl-l ballasts hooked up the same way your got it on your drawing. Not the exact same brand but I would be surprised..

BTW. Have you ever notched your pll ballasts getting hot and noisy if placed to close together? Even though they are "electronic" mine apparently give of a lot of electro magnetism, my ballasts needs something like an inch of space to run cooler and totally quiet...

Cool thanks, yeah it was one that came up in an image search for 2g11 wiring or something. I modified a little to suit my situation. I hope that's it.

I've never noticed anything from my current ballasts as they're tucked away above the lights. I can definitely feel some kind of negative effect from having my head close though. I may need an extra layer on my tinfoil hat :xmasnut: I try to turn the lights off when I spend long times there. I religiously wear sunglasses these days. My eyesight has improved radically.

Sadly those ballasts have 7 wires coming out the end, so I can't copy that.

Congrats on the nice harvest !!

Quick q. to save me some thread browsing....how long was the plant vegging?
and re. your ballast question:

bulb 1
1234 (Bulb pin #, where 2 and 3 are the centre pins)
1234 (connection point # on ballast)

bulb 2
1234 (Bulb pin #, where 2 and 3 are the centre pins)
1256 (connection point # on ballast)

As you need two connections off ballast points 1 and 2, you can split each wire before wiring to the bulbs or only wire one lead from the ballast to one of the bulbs, then run a wire to the other bulb - if that makes any sense . lol

Thanks mjconfid! Nope it didn't make sense, lol, but it will help a lot anyway and I'll re-read it when I'm more awake. Thank you sincerely. Keep your eyes peeled for a new pic of YOUR NAME IN BUDZ! Haha, and I'll fit Pedro in too. I also got an email from my guy saying it's straightforward, so I should be all good now, cheers.

I recieved the Pure on the 8th September and she was a big ex-mom so can't give a figure on veg, but I flipped her on the 27th Sept.

The TWxPDs are 46 days old and they've been flipped for half that.

Is that a new lighting setup or something? Nice reflector for those PLLs especially if homemade

Thund, that's the one I've been using :) It just always had buds in the way before :biglaugh: I'm only running two bulbs this next run (4000k) for these 5 Arcata Trainwreck x Princess Diesel.

I took these cuts just before that picture was taken, 1 cut of each, they're from seed and all females, lightly flowering.

Hello Bubbles, I vegged under 4000k, added a 23w 6500k CFL during stretch, and switched one of the 4000k PLLs for a 10,000k later in flower. I wouldn't have chosen 3000lm ones personally...that's a strange choice when 4800lm is available! :)

The 4000k is fine, but I suspect most people would like the traditional kelvins better for each of the stages. It was a bit hard to tell because this plant was just so bushy so it had a lot of branches to grow. I felt it vegged slowly but I have nothing to compare it to properly. I think a combo of the 6000k and 4000k would be great for veg anyway. Best of luck!

*burp*

Hello all :) They looked so much better in the tent...not enough floor area in the cupboard so they're tall again. I've had great luck taking flowering clones. It takes say, a month instead of >2wks to root, and then they have to actually get back into veg mode, but it does work for me. Well, it did when I looked after them and used rooting gel, lol. Not sure about this time! :)

The results are in

The results are in

Just a sprinkle over 120gms. :smokeit: (close enough to 4.25oz according to my calcs) Not as much as I would have liked, or thought. I was positive I would break 5Z's there, quietly. Still done pretty well though. Rock on. I have pics, too worn out right now.
