So you think children should only be taught what their parent's deem "correct".

So did Ruby Franke. And well...

And last I checked looking at a book didn't require consent. My have times have changed.

Keep clutching them pearls.
I think that people so intent on raising children should have some of their own, and leave other peoples alone.

I got caught with a full on porno mag, in school, in 5th grade that was given to me by another student who took it from his dad.

You have no clue what kids are actually exposed to in reality.

Have fun living in rural fantasy land
its silly to think that by banning a book you are going to restrict children's access to the material inside
/even hear of the internet?
but i believe parents should have some say in what content their children are exposed to

im quoting your post @audiohi because i too was caught with a nudie rag in grade school that i stole from my dad
/yeah i was that kid
i had to hand it over to my mom when she come pick me up from school but this was in teh days of a paddling so i got off easy

Time to face the music.

Lawsuits across the country are challenging former President Donald Trump’s place on the ballot claiming that he aided and abetted an “insurrection” and is therefore disqualified from running for office under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. The clause bars anyone who took an oath to the U.S. who participated in an insurrection from running for office.

:dunno:

Kids are going to be exposed to alcohol and cigarettes too. Just hopefully not by adults in secret.

There is an age of consent for a reason.

So let me guess, the kids belong to the state by default?
Come on; you know better. They belong to themselves. Parents are just guides (and most are terrible; believe me, I've cleaned up many parenting disasters) who should provide as many healthy opportunities, viewpoints and educational opportunities available.

You said, I believe, that you live rurally. So did I when I had 7 kids. I taught them to farm, fix equipment, ride horses, be kind but we also had a shitload of books and magazines on every subject. They could read anything they wanted (even Art Crumb and Edward Abbey) and also rode the bus to school. Those 'kids' now are mostly well respected skilled tradesmen and free thinkers. All of them came from shithead parents.

Doubtful.

Hate is the cancer, hipsters are just one organ it attacks.

The more hate you have the more likely it is to spread.

Society is great again!

I think that people so intent on raising children should have some of their own, and leave other peoples alone.

So you are against adoption and foster care?

If a woman is infertile or a man is sterile, does that mean that they can't raise children?

Is it "God's will"?

Unlike minorities hipsters are an actual threat to life liberty and the pursuit of affordable housing. I only need to look at Austingeles to see that. Hey i know. We can stop picking on immigrants from OLD Mexico and start busing hipsters to NEW Mexico. I'll write my blundering governor and see what he thinks. I tell you we'll fix this economy without Sleepy Petes help. One misplaced hipster at a time

I'm sorry, who's buying homes?

According to data reported by the PEW Trust and originally gathered by CoreLogic, as of 2022, investment companies own about one fourth of all single-family homes. Last year, investor purchases accounted for 22% of American homes sold.

Your grandchildren will never be able to afford homes. If the climate doesn't kill them first.
