After 100's of years of US Hegemony its kind of silly debating which not-so-useful idiot will best serve our interests. The obvious answer is neither do, but the looming threat of autocracy being lightly tested by MAGA land is concerning.

How many are among me, even in my own community? Its not to be taken lightly, especially when the keyboard warrior state that "Liberalism is a disease and that liberals should be lined up an killed" While it seems silly and unlikely, its dangerous rhetoric because these acts have played at different points in history - it is truly possible.

Many a MAGA are a power of 3 which is: ignorant, paranoid, and armed. Its a tinder box in the making.

Its hard being a parent in these times and I hope like hell that sensible, level headed, and moderate people with common sense will prevail despite the people on the extremes having the loudest megaphones. We also need to watch out for our youth that they are not being brainwashed by bad actors on the internet with an unjust agenda.

No logic quite like “the other guy is worse ism”. That’ll have you supporting either of these clowns depending on where you get your “news”.

They both are the worst possible answer to the question of “who should be president?”.

How far down the shit hole do we have to go before we stop ranking our candidates by how shitty the other one is?

Intelligent people have political opinions based on facts. Real facts based on actual events and statements. From an informed voter standpoint these facts are prioritized in a cascading order of that voters priorities. Some facts about certain candidates make them instantly disqualified because they are too far off on high priority items.

Many people are not capable of this basic analysis.
Some people believe in a utopian value set that could never even be partially fulfilled.
Some people follow blindly and without regard for facts or political priorities.
Progressives look at other countries politics and aspire to certain accomplishments .
Rarely will a voters candidate be in line with all of the voters expectations.

Finally, You don't get to pick who's on the ballot. You just get to choose one of the categories above that suits you and go in the box and vote.

this situation isn't unprecedented, but it is extreme
the positive part is both are on an age/health timer
something's going to give and change will happen
of course it does feel like it's been an eternity

That’s one way to think about it, here’s another; If one of the candidates has a history of attempting to overturn the results of a free and fair election and has publicly admitted his willingness, if elected to be a dictator and go after his political rivals, “the other guy is worse ism” is very logical.

Anyone defending trump or Biden at this point has lost me. Does anyone honestly believe either of these geriatric fucks is our best?

They’ve both had the chance, and neither has rescheduled cannabis. Fuck them both.
in this coming election, we are facing a "perfect storm" of colliding political currents, each (currently) led by someone who should either be playing shuffleboard or sitting in a federal prison. but that is the choice we have to make. do we as a nation want to be led by someone that openly hopes to be a dictator, and is willing to use the power of his office in pursuit of that scenario for four (or more ) years or someone who might be sat in for a couple of years by his current VP ? ONE of those two will occupy the office of POTUS. decide which of them is best for the country and vote accordingly. that is all that anyone could hope for. cannabis, while important (as it should be) should not be what your vote is about...

You do pick who’s on the ballot.

And I guess you’re right in a way, because I haven’t voted in a presidential election in over 10 years. I refuse to vote for a candidate that doesn’t represent me.

None of the above beat Nicky hailey. It should be able to beat trump and Biden if people weren’t on teams.
