was that a pheno hunt? i find it difficoult to believe that someone would do that for many reasons, i mean you'd get many different flower types and qualities and possibly hermies too. why would someone do that if not for pheno hunting ?
Got one without expecting it, one of the Rocky Melon females I've grown was a nice representation of her Colorado FLO grand mother. I have no idea how often this specific phenotype occur, she was the only like this out of 6 seeds, the other 5 plants were 2 different phenos( 3/2)
For the yield as I told you plants from seeds makes more weight. The 300 000 plants field was grown to be sold as flowers it was an illegal somewhere in Europe. Many big scale outdoor growers are using seeds, it is easier to work with than clones on big numbers.
well if we're talking about low quality, black market weed , then yes, i believe you , it also makes sense that they chose that seedbank lol
WOW so it makes around 6kg of seeds to get 300 000 plants, that's huge and sure not many seeds producers can sell this much to only one of their customers.
i've never said that outdoor means low quality, you can actually achieve higher quality outdoors/ in green houses than indoor, but putting 300k random unstable seeds outdoors , to me has high chances of resulting in a low quality harvest. i've never seen good black market weed unless it was grown in spain, but thats just my experience, living in a state where there is only black market weed around.
I live in a country where only CBD is legal and only a few selected seeds can be grown so all is black market , many good flowers producers around me; and I grow and sell decent quality as well
I am curious to know how many seeds producers can really make 6kg of seeds for a special order on top of their usual production. I know many seeds are done when a plant is fully seeded but it still takes a good number of plants for 300k seeds.I'm fairly sure that if you special order 300k seeds from a reputable breeder and make a deposit, most would be able to accommodate you
In recent years ive handled a couple lines that needed refreshing and just let it rip. You'd be surprised at the numbers. One run could probably feed a family of 4 for years lol.
I think breeders we know and love choose to not produce mountains of seeds only to sit on them. Most probably can anticipate what kind of sales a line can generate and scale accordingly.

I dont doubt small scale producers can grow good weed ,i refer to black market as big players not who grows for themselves and a couple other ppl. personal grows can be of very high quality. btw a single plant can produce thousands of seeds so i doubt it would be that hard for a breeder to produce 6 kilos. I'd like to see the pics of that 300k plants outdoor grow tho, must be fascinating .
I don't think you realize what it takes to makes 6kg of seeds as it's only a fraction of the weight of plants who produce them;
