Morning, Bud, me too! Can't wait. Just sent off the moolah. I put the open 600w in yesterday to give them some heat, should do them fine until the new light gets here;) They just went to sleep, so pics tomorrow. I'm going to the hydro store today, see if they have a 4x4 tray or a simple bigass pallet like dubi's Lebanese grow.

**Edit: hours later got the 4x4 tray, some good calmag and a pump sprayer. I'll show the setup next post.

Hope all's well, dwd

Here they are under the 600w

Awright, girls just went to sleep, timer seems to be working but don't trust it at all. The light will be switched out next week, I'm guessing. Fine for now. I love the new 4x4 tray, actually seems to be 4.5 x 4.5 ft and keeps the pots above any runoff so they don't sit in it.

ANyhoo, just a few pics taken before lights off. The 3 ZAm x Panama look great, all are showing a bit of calmag deficiency, so have to get feeding on track. Gave foliar yesterday before lights on. Good looking, big girls. Here dey is.

Tis a pleasure;) I love the simplicity of the setup at the moment; I usually control the hell out of things with topping, cropping, lst, usually because of space limitations. Less here in the 5x5 and I find myself very much looking forward to letting the girls go au natural;) I will probably bind the ZAmaldelica x Panamas in some manner at some point in the grow, but for now, all good. I've got them in about a 3x3 footprint under the 600w, the two Zam x KCs lifted on blocks for equal-opportunity light snogging.

The outdoor Malawis do NOT like extra food at this point, and probably need a flush of their pots for pH. "Bad" news is they both look like girls, and I have a hard time letting go of a babe. They are the smelliest of all plants, in or outside. Stem rubs were killer marijuana grease today; no fruit, powerful POT smell. They're about 2 ft tall, alternating top nodes Aug 3. Nights are already starting to get colder, @ 50f.

Outdoor ZamKC clones (3 left) are just digging into their repot and are vigorous but not getting nutes yet, very light green, one with a very dark red stem, much darker than any mother ever got. It's the damn rainwater at 7.8pH. They got a .8 EC feeding today, like the girls in the tent, also with botanicare CalMAg.

Now this is happy news: after about a week in the tent, switching over to PM lights on, the girls are all showing pistils and asking for more food. ZAm x Pam 3 has entered womanhood shooting big, elongated calyxes as did her sisters, with their branches starting to gather around the stems under the tops. Another week and the ZAmPams should be in flower. ZAmKCs are also showing pistils and number one was pretty deficient. I think everyone needs a flush.

I'll get some closeups for tomorrow.

Here they is outdoors right before big rain they're getting now. I fabricated a sort of scrog for the little ones digging into their new pots. They should get quite a bit bigger before flowers come.

Hey, B and B;) I like that little spot; surrounded by trees where's there's no windbreak, so ideal. Yesterday we had tornado-like storms, left branches all over the roads, but me babes are just fine;)

We're into daily rains here, and heavy ones, big thunderstorms. El nino, I'm guessing, not a normal pattern, although maybe new normal? Anyhoo, I like the little scrogs for the little hogs. I think they'll fill out those screens in 2 weeks and stay low for flower. INdoor ZamPams are at my chest-here we go again;)

As for the Malawis; I don't know if they'll survive the colder nights that are coming. Dubi recommends 75f at night for them, hehe. Nights are in the 50-40s for most of flowering, first frost in October.

Deepwaterdude, enjoying your thread very much. Peace

Thanks, farmerlion, I can say the same for yours. Nice to see you're getting some pistils, puts me on edge;) I think you're right about starting your plants a tad later next time. I "learn" this every grow, it seems, except the first one where I flowered small and got great results without knowing it;)

My indoor girls are doing much better and are almost in flower after I don't know how long after switch to PM 11/13. They're getting a beautiful new light source tonight that should really spice things up for everyone involved:biggrin:, and with a bigger footprint than the 600, so I can spread them out quite a bit more. Also, as the ZAmPams are now 5 foot tall and just making bud sites, I gonna have to bend 'em over.

Now OD, all the ZAm x KCs are under chair scrog and I repotted the more beautiful malawi in 5 gal soil. Her root ball looked very healthy in the coco, but not so much her leaves. The other I'm just having a hard time killing as neither has truly shown sex; don't want to cull the only gurl;)

I got a pressure mister at the hydro store that I LOVE. 20 bucks, maybe, but just kills it. Good day all. When the girls wake up tonight, I'll change out the light and give you pics of da babes.

Day 1 flowas - under new light

Day 1 flowas - under new light

As you can see, the ZAmPam tops are going to need supplemental light. I'm gonna either put back in the 600, simple solution, or drop a few spyders on 'em. Slightly bigger PITA;) I'm also considering supercropping, more radical bending, or actually taking ZAmKC1 OD to flower once she gets going. Luxury problems;)

It must be around 10 days since they've been in the 5x5, though I haven't checked, and today all the ZamPams have flower sites defined. The ZAmKCs have both shot pistils and started to bunch so this'd be day 1 flower. They always take a little more time to show when they switch over to PM light. I'm excited about the ZamPams; these are some bigass sativas;)

Here they is.

More light!

More light!

Thanks, me friends. Got me a case of spyders on me ZamPams;) The good kind. Some closeups of day 2 flowa. ZP1 and ZamKC1 are still showing Calmag deficiency... always happens with the most vigorous, can't keep up!

I like the light config for the moment and'll probably add spyders as we go. Looks like maybe the ZAmPams will follow the ZAmaldelica for flowering style. If they turn out anything like ULMW's ZAm, I'll be happy as a pig:dance013:

dwd cool setup which spyders do you use?

FYI my plants responded well to having leds within 12" actually most of veg 3-5" from plants. If leds at a distance to the plants it encourages stretching. closer they are the less stretch.:tiphat:
