People who fail microbial wanna blame something instead of look at the processing and handling line and accepting that they don't actually have a clean grow and figure out what they need to do to have one

I have wondered if some people fail because of their humidifiers? I know I buy the humidifiers with the anti microbial filters. I know a lot of people re-hydrate their flowers with these humidifiers as well........

Just a thought.:tiphat:

It's possible , like I said many People don't think about the processing and handling line. Those filters are cool but sanidate in the water is better

How would the process and handling line create microbial problems?

When harvesting, wet harvest seems to cause the most problems. If you butcher a pig, it's one clean cut and drain the blood. That way there is less contamination. Same with cannabis. A thousand little cuts before the product is dried can cause problems IMO.

Love this!

And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, "I need a caretaker." So God made a farmer.

God said, "I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the fields, milk cows again, eat supper and then go to town and stay past midnight at a meeting of the school board." So God made a farmer.

"I need somebody with arms strong enough to rustle a calf and yet gentle enough to deliver his own grandchild. Somebody to call hogs, tame cantankerous machinery, come home hungry, have to wait lunch until his wife's done feeding visiting ladies and tell the ladies to be sure and come back real soon -- and mean it." So God made a farmer.

God said, "I need somebody willing to sit up all night with a newborn colt. And watch it die. Then dry his eyes and say, 'Maybe next year.' I need somebody who can shape an ax handle from a persimmon sprout, shoe a horse with a hunk of car tire, who can make harness out of haywire, feed sacks and shoe scraps. And who, planting time and harvest season, will finish his forty-hour week by Tuesday noon, then, pain'n from 'tractor back,' put in another seventy-two hours." So God made a farmer.

God had to have somebody willing to ride the ruts at double speed to get the hay in ahead of the rain clouds and yet stop in mid-field and race to help when he sees the first smoke from a neighbor's place. So God made a farmer.

God said, "I need somebody strong enough to clear trees and heave bails, yet gentle enough to tame lambs and wean pigs and tend the pink-combed pullets, who will stop his mower for an hour to splint the broken leg of a meadow lark. It had to be somebody who'd plow deep and straight and not cut corners. Somebody to seed, weed, feed, breed and rake and disc and plow and plant and tie the fleece and strain the milk and replenish the self-feeder and finish a hard week's work with a five-mile drive to church.

"Somebody who'd bale a family together with the soft strong bonds of sharing, who would laugh and then sigh, and then reply, with smiling eyes, when his son says he wants to spend his life 'doing what dad does.'" So God made a farmer.

Dirty hippie trimmer hands can put stuff like ecoli on your pot same as it can get on spinach from dirty field hands shitting in the field

Hey foothill, did Slownickel ever tell you how long to wait to test after amending?

I found this on Spectrum's soil sampling guide:

"Wait a minimum of thirty days to sample after applications of fertilizer, lime, or sulfur."

Part of the clean green certification is how you harvest and process. Gloves, hair nets, hard surfaces, chemical free cleaners, ext. It was funny, the inspector called me back and asked a couple follow up questions. One was, did I have hair nets for harvest. I laughed and thought he was taking a jab at me, cause I am mostly bald with #2 razor trimmed head of hair. lol.

No he did not.

I did hear from another farmer in PM's that it's ok to test right away. I also read that from Spectrum, and that is what got me wheels turning. Would still love to hear from SlowNickel on this one. Either way I sent out a sample, so we should find out today what that looks like on paper.

Just got the answer from SlowNickel. He does not think your soil will change that fast. If I may quote, "soils don't change that fast guy. The weight of a soil vs the weight of your inputs to be added are not going to make that much difference."

Edit: I was thinking the application would effect the top 6" of soil and show excess levels of what was just applied. If I understand SlowNickel correctly, there should be little to no difference in my soil results.

Foots,

If you grab a handful of gypsum or something of that nature, it will show up in your sample. If you dug down deep and picked up what has gone into solution, there will only be slight changes.... depends a lot how well things were washed in and where you sampled and what you picked up.

There are quite a few cheaper alternatives in Amazon. Not sure that this monster from Pike is quite worth the money...

Car ramrod. (super troopers)

Thought I would give an update on the back pack sprayer I purchased. It's amazing. I was spending around 2-3 hours, two days back to back in order to finish one round of spraying with my 2 gallon hudson, or hand pump sprayer. Now, with my Invatech Italia 858 Backpack Sprayer Mister Duster Mosquito Sprayer Cold Fogger Mosquito Fogger, I can finish my round of foliar in 45 minutes. This allows me to spray other plants like my grapes and fruit trees, that I had zero time for with my other sprayer.

Pro's:
5.3 gallon holding tank
strongest engine on the market
easy assembly
Once on your back, it is very manageable
Adjustable water output speed (I keep mine on 4, the highest level, when outdoors. 2 when in my greenhouse)
Adjustable engine and fan speed controls
Controls are in a great location.
Siphon design gets every last drop of solution
Corrosive materials allowed. (bleach if needed)

Con's:
Back pack straps are mediocre at best
Very top heavy and hard to put on.
40:1 gas ratio (I prefer electric or battery)

I have put around 100 gallons through this machine now. So far, this has been a very efficient tool in my arsenal. I highly recommend one of these units to somebody that needs an upgrade. The only thing I cannot speak on yet, is longevity. Time will tell, hope this helps.

Lol So why'd you go with a sprayer mister duster sprayer fogger fogger over a setup like byf's?

How many lbs in total when full is it?

BYF said that after I ordered it. I needed something that day. No disrespect to him, and his setup is undoubtedly better. However I now have an upgrade that should last another year or two worth of expansion.

The sprayer is 20lbs on it's own. Then 5.3 gallons of solution is about 45lbs. 65lbs total-ish? The hardest part is getting the sprayer on your back. I would suggest a 4ft table or something you can put it on. I am stubborn, and just lift and fight it. It't not so much the weight for me, as it is the top heavy-ness and the sloshing around-ness. Heck, when I was in school I would have back packs twice that weight.

One thing I have done in the garden is clean up my walking path. I don't want to get my boots caught on something like hortanetting and fall face first with my sprayer driving my face in even harder......lol.
