Happy Independence Day......

Happy Independence Day......

Just woke up after a food coma from smoking several hundred lbs of pig over the last couple days for the church and food bank so poor folks could indeed enjoy the fruits of our freedom supplied by our military that provides the safety and democracy across the world as much as we can , while terrorists seek to martyr themselves in vain like it means somethin to us.....yeah right ....blow that ass up bitch...1 less terrorist to worry about....

Baked Beans....It would be wise to not compare apples and oranges with big plant strains on the left coast that`re time tested and proven producers like Bodhi`s gear.....especially since you`re not even in the US ?.....or am I wrong ?....and....

Am I missing somethin ?.....regardless....Foothill Farming....Respect for your attitude and honesty about how our freedom isn`t free since my son`s on his 3rd deployment in a place where all the locals want is for us to leave , but yet without us the Taliban and Isis will take over and rule their ass.....things that make yas go hmmmm.......anyways...

I didn`t come here to bitch , I just hate seeing dissent in the ranks when we`re all in this together as a community to support and not tear down the flow of knowledge and information between like minded individuals....

Peace...DHF.....:ying:.....

is your big plant fame owned by you or the help you have received ?

thats the alderan game. if you say its all you then you destroy the friends and if you say its them it destroys ur life. sorta like if you asked dave mirra if his fame came from his bicycle or him. stupid to do that to anyone on purpose or accident. seems to be a popular trick to pass around in certain circles. not ever accepted in lines of people.

Rank comes from location. Paying for it and being born there is the same thing to a lot of people. Its 2 different sites. Not really a vote able thing on either site, person with the largest family can win or lose against the person with the most money at any given time. Genetics are harder to get back then money and the more money you have the safer your genetics can be made. No community is ever going to be able to decide on the value of those 2 places.

Hope everybody enjoyed the 4th.

Screws and Baked beans:

You guys had a great conversation, just a little bitterness thrown in. Couple things:

First, Anybody that thinks screws can't function on his own is trippin. I get it, his thread is a collective of ideas that everybody likes to chime in on. However, I have met Screws in person, and looked him in the eye. If you are telling me there is not much behind those eyes, then you are trippin. Screws is quite capable, and has been proving it over the last decade for everybody to watch. So lets stop that nonsense.

Second, Bakedbeans was just telling us how his DB grew. I want feedback from others. All day every day. That is how I learned about the Ancient OG, from watching and learning from Screws. Who knows, maybe the Dragon Blood will be the next Blue Dream?

Third, the actual meat of the debate, is AOG a beast outdoors? Let me put it this way, I have never seen a better outdoor cultivator. The only plant that I have ever seen compare, is blue dream. However the AOG kills the Blue Dream in yield because it's from seed, and can be started way earlier. AOG also has an average thc % that is quite higher than blue dream. IF, and I repeat, IF the DB can compete on the same level, then it's worth taking a look.

Thanks for sharing guys, and don't ever trip off derailing my thread. Sometime a good back and forth between two seasoned vets can churn up some gold. Hope you guys enjoyed the 4th.

Mine have never been that big at this point in the season, and they always hit double digits, so i wont be surpised if you get 12-15 off those ones in the big pots. great job so far, seems on par with all the best gardens i've seen so far this year.

Dam, that's a compliment if I ever heard one. Thanks!

Do me a favor, tell your son, "thank you for your service. Thank you for my freedom, and may the Lord protect him."

I grew up in a super liberal area, and was always told the military was a bad thing. Now that I have grown up and see the evils of the world, I realize the only thing that stops evil, is force. You can't reason with evil, it does not sleep, it will not stop. Good will prevail.

That's awesome that you work at the church to help the community. So rare these days. I just finished a paver project and put up a pergola at my church. More work to be done there, but my canna work load is through the roof. I hope you made somebodies 4th, keep up the good fight.

My wife forwarded me this meme, and thought I would pass it along.

I know everybody has at least one person like this in life. Try to stay above it. People will see the truth eventually.

i agree it was wrong of me , to go at shcrews the way i did .

the want to compare plant size, does not compare to a person skills and knowledge , which seems to be the theme around here. there are many satisfying ways to grow this lovely plant . biggest is not always best , i rekon this plant performs a lot nicer in a smaller size and is more manageable, robust and user friendly to work with .

does that mean the end result is any less , no .... not if you run higher plant counts . being confined by 24 plants obviously limits your options . in fact being confined to a certain plant number , actually limits your options of exploring and finding new strains , and you would tend to grow plants you know have performed for you .

in saying that i enjoy these threads immensely . though i enjoy a good grow thread big or small plants .

anyways i haven't come back here to debate , and moving on . i,m here to share , that it .

The debate part is more important then posting ya thinks. ur not suppose to post thinks.

You cant say your not here for a debate at the same time you are debating the value of large plants vs small plants.

10lbs of blue dream is worth 2x what 5lbs of blue dream is worth. if you need to grow a certain amount to pay for your livelihood or to achieve the average income per resident of the area you live in then size is an indicator of success. you grow less then that amount and they say you are not successful you grow more and they will say you are greedy or better then them it flip flops usually. it why alot of you two faced guys try to say stuff like its not your idea or its not a debate or its not a competition then wait until you know where you stand with the other person to display numbers in front of them. like you were trying to do with the dragons blood vs aog. same game even if you leave out the numbers and just use words like more popular or faster. different groups of people tho.

I actually think the smallest population of plant stock is for the large outdoor grower. We all know a great indoor plant isn't necessarily a great outdoor plant. Then on top of that, a great outdoor plant isn't always a great large outdoor plant. Prohibition is a bitch, because if it weren't for plant counts, large plants would only be for bragging rights. If I were limited to sq ft instead of #'s, I would have 100 plants in my beds, instead of 2.

those are not the same members. fwiw.

Are you sure? Have you ever seen the two of them in the same room, at the same time? lol. I am sure you're right, I have no idea.:tiphat:

You and another good friend have me leaning towards an old dirt redux for fall season just keep reminiscing about the sweet sweet flavors I used to get with organics and guanos. I was a fan of indonesian bat guano for bloom and I found that and some peruvian and mexican guano's from sun leaves in an old box the other day wonder if they are still worth using or if I should grab some new packs? They have to be 8 years old at a minimum....

Yea i keep track of that stuff. there 'macro' posts are just similar because of how they battle. if you never post macro stuff then people never even notice that you exist, which is generally a more accepted lifestyle in all cultures.i learned that from a Medicolegal Death Investigator.

I would think the guano would be fine if it's not moldy. Most comes from caves that have had the guano built up on the floor for centuries.
Hope you don't mine me adding my opinion Foothill.

Don't mind others chiming in at all.

I agree with Stone House. The guano isn't going bad anytime soon, might be slightly less effective due to breakdown. Use that up brother.

Thought I would share a tip:

Pro tip #1 - When planning a thinning or pruning day, plan to schedule an IPM application the night/day before. This will knock down pest populations, and limit transfer of pests when pruning.

I keep thinking about your OD plants everyday man cannot wait to see them budding!

getting close to time for some flowers. Around my parts, August 1st is when flower gets triggered.

Can't wait to see how the c-99 does. She is growing so fast and vigorous. I am expecting big things from her.

The next big check on the list is going to be cloning everything. I want to make sure I have back ups of everything I have going, and a friend has agreed to house the cuts for 4 months while I finish up harvest.

Another thing that I will be doing in the next week or so, is getting my males flowered, and collecting their pollen. I will be painting every plant with 3 different c-99 dads, and an ancient og dad.

I also have my final list of what strains are being grown:

Bodhi: Super Silver Hash Plant, Dream Beaver, 88 cherries, Sky Lotus, AOG, Snow Wookie, Blue Berry Hash Plant, Silver Mountain

DNA: Sour Banana Sherbet

Brothers Grimm: c-99

Swamp Boys: Helen Back

So if all goes well, I should expect 11 strains crossed with 4 males.

Are you going to F2 that 88 Cherries? Those pics you posted of it looked so fire.

I didn't keep a male 88 Cherries due to numbers. I still have a pack, so if I need a male I could most likely find one. I will admit, the cross produces some fire nugs. However the yield was on the low side, and some pheno's turned out strait nasty. Glad I worked with the strain, but no need to continue on IMO. The females will still get hit with the males stated above.

So I ran the last of my drip lines yesterday, plugged the last couple 100 gallon pots. I officially ran over 3000 liner ft of 1/4 tubing alone. My back and fingers hurt, having to replace around 40% of the total drip lines was a major headache.

Another thing I figured out, I have been pulling at least one tarp since April 1st. I will have to pull the tarps going now, through September. So that means I will have pulled a tarp for around 180 days this year or just half a year. Been a pain in the ass, but keeps pumping out constant income.

SlowNickel - Everything is going great. When I complain/report in the AEA thread, I am talking very small changes in plant appearance, which only experienced growers will observe. Milky thinks I am crying about things not going well, in reality, I am just concerned about the last 5% I could be getting out of my plants. 95% of growth is right on point. Always room for improvement.

Before my next round of pics, I am trying to get all the plants cleaned up. Turning their dresses into mini skirts.
