Hey wildgeist what is your secret to growing such healthy plants?
like whats ur medium, lighting, ect. I bought a big bag of coco brick and my seedlings keep dying.
i had a problem with seed in coco.keep dying off at 7-10 days.
the coco is to wet for seedlings.let your coco dry out alittle & ull have better luck.

topped my original entry for the second time yesterday.
seedling yellowed out and I've replaced with sour diesel, should be peeking out soon.
the other three are doing splendidly.

those three cuts were taken early December and have survived leaving them in the cloner with but little nutrient, maybe 1/4 tsp of bloom food per 2 gals water. they are digging the worm castings and compost medium now and beginning to explode.

still have some yellowing on the original and have been saturating with tea fortified with
cal-mag. new growth seems fine...still there is a long way to go and plenty can happen.

calculating now when to force florescence for optimum response.

hey Eighths and Aces, does that 're-gener-root' work with soil?

i've never tried it trich. CX has different base nutes for coco, hydro and soil but the additives aren't specific, my guess would be it would work

thats just MY guess ......... so please don't let it fuck up YOUR garden

FWIW CX is pretty generous with their samples. you might be able to find out for free ..... and the 250 ml sample should be more than enough to get you through this round

Update

Update

I've decided to take the Tikal out for a couple reasons. One is that I think the Maple Leafs will do better in the cup, and the other is that I just kinda wanna grow them out for real.

Some Pics:

I love the shape of the leafs

I've upgraded my veg space with a 6 tube fixture which is so much better than the cfls.
Here they are with the Tikals I put into beer cups. I slid the yogurt cups into the beer cups to raise them.

My first update, here you see the Purple Haze x Thai and the Santa Haze cut in front of my beercup empire :D The Guatemala will get some more weeks in veg chamber, a little bit too small for a full dose of nutes ;)

All yogis will start with 52 W LED (2xCree CXA3070@700mA), depending on stretch I might move them to my vertical 55W PL-L cab :)

UPDATE 01

UPDATE 01

My first update with the plants:

So I decided to keep the 4 Swazi Rooibaard plants, 2 were planted in the final contest cups, 2 of them in small nursery pots. I added some perlite to the top for seedling support too, cause they started to lean on a side a bit.

Here is first one:

Second one:

And the ones that need to be transplanted soon to same cups as the first 2 plants:

As you can see, they are small and barely hanging in there, cause of the pots are not as tall as the cups and the soil mix stays wetter for longer time after watering. But I think they will get healthier once i move them to the new cups..

We'll see how this goes.. :tiphat:

LATER.EDIT:
Already done the transplant of the ones in the square pots. Now they are all in the final containers. The difference in root size is very big between the plants in the taller round cups and the ones that were planted in the short square pots. In the round cups they already touched the outside of the cup and the bottom perlite layer. The ones that i just tranplanted had tiny 2-3 cm long roots. This shows me I need to be very careful about keeping them too wet for long periods. I really learned a good thing I can use when setting up the automated watering system.

See you guys in about 1 week!

Don't remember if I mentioned it, but this is a cutting. A bigger version is

Does your phone has some kind of auto rotate option when taking pictures? Do they show the right side up when putting them on a computer?
I bet you could find an app to fix that on the phone and rotate them.. if it isn't a option you can change before taking the pics.

Just rotate the pictures in Windows photo viewer? I wouldn't take pictures of weed with a smart phone anyway.

I'm screwed then. I guess its not worth it anyways. I just wanted to try a new forum.
All you need to do (or the least you need to do??) is turn off the GPS (= no geotag) and probably something termed 'allow pseudo-location' and don't define your home location too when taking pictures (these might or may not replace the GPS coordinates if these aren't available; I honestly don't know as I have all these options permanently deactivated). There should also be apps floating around that let you remove the EXIF data from your pics too...

i always use my phone taking pictures, i have everything turned off that i know off anywat. unless your grow is huge than i dont thing you will have any trouble, there are far bigger fish to fry than a guy with a few plants.
