Fuck yeah, Ron Paul is the man. I think he might have a chance. He is huge on the internet and is starting to get more media coverage.

for the dems, Mike Gravel from Alaska is pretty sweet. I don't think he has much of a chance though.

If either of those guys was elected the state of American politics would change drastically. These guys could change the world.

Im rootin for Gravel, he seems to be on base with what really needs to happen, to make some positive changes to our country, and the world...

you may want to rethink that last statement as the Dem frontrunners are basically Socialist. Richardson, Gravel, and Dood are the only ones that love freedom. if you care about your freedom, you would vote Libertarian or a Libertarian under the Republican banner like Ron Paul.

Don't forget to get registered in time so that you can vote in the primaries.

I sent mine off finally. Decided on (R) so that I can vote for Ron Paul in the primaries.

Technically, your votes are not wasted in one sense if you vote Libertarian (or any other minority party). Every vote received makes your candidate a strong candidate in the next election.

To bad with our horrible two-party system and 4 year elections the chance of getting a third party candidate in office any time soon is slim to none. Therefore it is wise to choose the lesser evil and hope that some day our nation can find a way to even the playing ground.

I have a very strong belief that the American people are fed up with the two faced lies of money grubbing politicians who only blow the whistle on each other when it comes to matters of sex! They have had years to develop a system and work it.

I hope and believe the American people are ripe to welcome a third party coming out strong to return ethics to our government. The time is now for this(these) party(s) to start their push, as all citizens struggle with the Iraq situation. U.S. citizens are looking for a NEW rope to pull us out of the bullshit.

you would have more of a chance on your dream becoming reality by voting democrat or independant.

republicans have too much monetary interests in other places.
oil is making them rich and keeping them in power. no shift seen in the near future on that front.....

good luck to ya out there! no one likes EITHER "war!" going on.

That's why I like Ron Paul, hub.

Ron Paul even refuses to take money from corporations for his campaign. He doesn't even take part in the congressional pension plan.

Ron Paul is the man. He is the only candidate that will save this country from what is has become. We all need to vote, it is more than an election this time. I voted Democrat in the last election but now I am not so sure, what was all that talk of a bill without restrictions is unacceptable and they just caved today. They all want the same ending, all of them profit off these wars. Just listen to Ron Paul's speech in Austin and he tells what he is all about, America and freedom of privacy. He has never wavered in a vote either.

Don't forget to support him in the primaries.

I truly believe that if he can get the nomination, that he can bring the moderate voters from both sides.

http://www.vote-smart.org/election_president_state_primary_dates.php
lists state primary dates (some dates are possible to change). Be sure to find out if you need to be registered for a party to vote in its primary.

In our state, we have to be registered for whichever parties primary we want to vote in and we cannot register or change our registration for some weeks prior to the primaries. I think it's like 6 weeks or so, but I'd have to check.

I also leaned towards democrats as they are usually more favorable to legalization of mj, however I discovered that until 2005, my D rep, Dianne Feinstein, was in charge of the Appropriations Committee for Iraq; and knowingly awarded her husbands companies billions of dollars of contracts (they are supposed to be "blind" bids, where you don't know which company, just their promises and prices-witnesses know she knew his bids and informed other members). Why isn't she busted? Cuz she's on the Ethics Committee for over 8 years, and they don't have guidelines yet, "we just deal with ethics issues as they come up" and this issue hasn't come up(?).

Her new house is taking an estimated 16.5 million taxpayer (via her husband) dollars to build.

Yeah, I'm hoping Independent will have a chance. The only republican I'd ever vote for is Arnold, and he can't run for president, and he's not really a republican at all (sueing the feds, good for him!).

ron paul is for legalizing aswell. he really is an amazing candidate. hes not a typical corporate puppet president and as previously stated refuses their donations. his campaign has gotten TONS of traction through the internet. he has logical views on terroism and what our govt was actually meant to do. people who go out and seek information through the internet instead of getting it fed to them through typical telivision outlets are all about this guy. hes winning all kinds of online polls and has more than 2x the youtube subscribers than than obama(the 2nd place youtube candidate). he is truly what the founding fathers thought our presidents would be.

Did someone really say vote democrat if you like freedom? I didn't really read that right?

Goooo Ron Paul (dream candidate). Most of the people that like him won't make absolutely sure their registered Republican and show up in any numbers on Primary day. His best bet would be to use the Republican name to get into the debates and get a little bit of press, get beaten in the primaries and run as an independant libertarian 3rd (or fourth if Bloomberg enters) party candidate. Still, I don't think he'd win, but in a primary election, at least he'd be able to get a significant number of votes.
