2000watt bio shed

I agree the bio system is a hoax.. I first ran it and experienced the normal salt lockup and root rot problem.. had to transplant some pretty shabby looking plants into soilless and have not looked back. if you do the buckets i agree you need to have an air stone in each bucket or your going o run in to problems..

Midtown - Looking VERY good!! I must say that I am impressed with your improvised system. Question: Are you using the bag of lava rocks in your res this go-around? If so, can we see a pic?? If not, why change a system that appears to be running very efficiently? Best of luck to you! I can't wait to see the final results. Blaze on! :joint:

HAZEYWONDER- It's possible that it works, I'm just not gonna waste any more crops trying. I didn't get any salt lockup, just root rot. I do like the use of beneficials and constant flow so I'll probably be using a modified bio bucket system next time that solves the problems I've discussed earlier.

WHOAMI- No lava rocks this go arround. Why change? well I'm bassically just running plain old DWC which I'm sure can be at least slighty optimized.

MId town - yes I guess that is true. I agree constant flow and beneficial are help full I guess after trying 2-3 times Ii just got frustrated and gave up on the hydro concept.

Cui bono ? Who benefits from purposefully spending hours upon hours upon 10's of hours for setting up a system and then documenting its construction and growth results ? Do you truelly believe that someone would go to all that length just to get some brownie points from a bunch of people on an online forum - I highly doubt that.

Apologies for the highjack midtown but I had to bring out some logic because that doesn't make sense - what does however make sense is that a step was missed in the setup of the bio system or purhaps it wasn't run for 2 weeks prior to being planted in or ect ect ect ... That is far more likely than just making up a bunch of shit for whatever reason ...

On a more positive note - Those ladies are looking sexy as fuck MT - good job and best of luck.

PS. Do you have any particular expectations for what you're going to get from crossing alll those with the granddaddy or just wondering whats gonna happen ?

Hazeywonder- Don't give up on hydro all together, just try a simpler more proven system.

Dreamscape-I don't think BT would put all that time and effort into that just to fuck with us either. he made a thourough clear HOW TO thread and pulled off some amazing grows. but my logic and the design of every other DWC system tells me to use air stones and to have the water level below the net pots. these are 2 gudelines I will ALWAYS follow from now on, no matter what. So I dont believe that the system is a HOAX, just in need of some improvement.

The guys around here that use the 'bio bucket' method do it a little different. First of all it isn't called the bio bucket but it is basically the same design. Second they use 3 buckets to make the bottom bucket. They cut the bottoms off of 2 of them and they sit on top basically just acting as a spacer. This keeps the net pot above the water line but still has a deep water level.

YEA, that must give you a VERY deep water level. They must be growin some MONSTERS, with the root balls they could fit in those babies.

Mid town what do you use to cover your walls?

I'm prety sure it's called REFLECTEX

Thanks for keepin this thread alive WHOAMI. I was gone for a while for family reason and I've been trimming since I got back. I've gotta get most of this crop cut, trimmed, dried and in a safe place within the next few days as I have to leave the state again for more family reasons, so anything I dont cut has to go until I get back. this is definately going to hurt my yeild a bit but hopefully it wont be tooo bad.

The 2 white rhino's are all trimmed and dried, only got a half pound off those 2 combined,OUCH.I've pulled the top nugs off the urkle, leaving the lower parts get some much needed direct light, I'll probably get a LB off all 4 urkles. the blue dot needs a few more days and should produce a good half pound. and the hash plant needs to go for at least another week.any ways here's some pics

I put the seeding mothers in here to finish since I'l be using that closet for clones and new mothers.

Urkle

these are just some of the main top nugs from the urkle

BLUE DOT
I'm very hapy with this strain I'll definately be keeping her arround.I have a feeling that blue dotxgranddaddy is gonna be my best cross.

HASHPLANT
this one's got a long flowering time but it should yield pretty good.

I forgot to upload a pic of the white rhino but I'll get one posted soon.

peace

i think i read in previous posts you use 6" netpots. could that be the reason that you experienced root rot. not enough BB in the net pot? i just built three bucket system/expanding to six, and its waiting for my soil grow to end. i went with 10"pots per BT suggestions.i did however want to run airstones myself as well. safety first you know. i still have time to mod for success. sure am glad i stumbled here today. i will be watching this and future grows bro! excellent job and clean setup. those blue dotxGD beans sound mean. :yummy: :lurk: grow safe peace

Here's a few pics of part of the blue dot harvest. this is definately the best strain I've ever grown, the smell is absolutely amazing and the high is right up there with it.
