Hey Indica, thanks for the props bro. It'll be good to see ya finaly set up some bucket. Just a warning, and of course no disrespect to Big Toke, But I realy feel that the medium should NOT be constantly wet, if you want a spot for the beneficials to grow then have a bag of lava rock in the res. And also that airstones should be used. obviously it can be done without air stones as BT has showed us, but extra DO never hurts and I'll never take that chance again. anyways I'm just trying to make sure that no one makes the same mistake that I did.

I hear ya MT, I don't add air stones cuz I like to save as much electricity as I can.
The beneficials in the net pots completely colonize the roots, so I don't see a need for them in res myself.

rule35sub1 good to see ya stopin in bro. I hear ya on the electricity. But what I was sayin about the benaficials, was that, I don't think the net pots should be submerged at all. which wouldn't leave the beneficials any where to live, hence the bag of lava rocks in the res.

MID TOWN - Beautiful grow and much respect for dusting yourself off and trying again after your accident. Its all about getting back up man , good job.

I was curious if you've actually consulted BigToke himself on this situation and got his thoughts on what may have happened ??

Best of luck bro

looking good mid town very nice indeed.

these things look lush and green top work.

about the netpots being submerged my system is 85% complete and just waiting for a few items to arrive befire i start my grow but i think maybe 4-6" net pots maybe better.

Ive got 6" net pots and may make them smaller or to combat wet medium i may place my drain 3" down from the top of the bucket instead of 2.5" as big toke says just to lower that water height 0.5" just to not et the medium as much!!!

hay Mid did you check that your buckets were getting even flow?????

what size is you pump.??? i am going to be using a 1000gph/4000 litres p/h pump for 5 buckets then upgrade it to 8 buckets!

Bartender- there Deep Water Innovations. There not actually guaranteed but there supposed to last a life time. I haven't had any cloging or noticed any decrease in efficiency yet but if they do clog they can be cleaned with murriatic acid. I deffinately give these airstones an A+.

Dreanscape- Thanks bro it was really hard loosing 2 crops in a row. I have deffinately run out of weed since then so I can't wait for this harvest. I haven't consulted BT all that much lately as he hasn't realy been arround and after 2 failures I wasn't willing to take any chances. I believe the idea of having the water flowing constantly and giving the beneficials a place to colonize is a great idea, but with no disrespect to BT, I dont think the medium should be submerged AT ALL except mabey for short periods of time and should be allowed to dry out afterwards.

Lougrew- stick arround this should be a good harvest.

Drummerlars- thanks for the props, its good to see ya stoppin in. I already am using 6 inch net pots, I have 1000gph pump for 8 buckets and I deffinately had even flow. If I were you I would truely lower the drains enough so that the net pots aren't touching the water at all and just add a small bag of lava rock in the res. obviously you can and will do whatever you want I just realy don't want to see somone make the same mistake as I did.

Nice looking setup, i am finally convinced to switch to a recirculating dwc system on my next grow. I am tired of all the money spent on soil only to use it once.

Can you show how yours is setup from the pump to however your splitting the hoses that deliver the nutrients to each bucket. Any special parts needed to split the lines or all available at a home depot type of store?

Thanks for the root porn, i want my roots to grow up just like yours someday!

cool deal

I have water pumps, air pumps, water chiller etc

I just would like to see how the delivery lines are split, i have a fairly good idea how to do it, but would like an example.

thanks
