It's not that they used cannabis that gets me so much, it's the fact they violated those kids constitutional rights. We will not deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law, nor deny to any person within its boundaries the equal protection of the laws. These kids liberty, was clearly FUCKED with. I'd feel the same way if teenagers rolled up a joint with real grass (as in from your alwn) and forced them to smoke it. The consitution is one of the most important documents we as a country have, and unlike some people and presidents I believe in it with all my heart.

I may have fucked up the ammendment, before I get flammed for that. However I remember it being something ike that.

This is no big deal at all, people give much more unhealthy substances to their children every day of the week to ingest.

While to adults smoking cannabis is relatively harmless smoking cannabis in the early development of a child can be harmful as it mimics the neurotransmitter anandamide which is responsible for among other things memory and eating and sleeping behavior. While it's effects to an already established brain system is ok to a developing one it could be harmful. Yes mcdonalds is potentially more harmful but lets not forget you're comparing a .22 to a 9mm. Both will hurt when they hit you.

Either way you're comparing one bad with another. Children shouldn't eat mcdonalds and they shouldn't be given all that caffeine and sugar. But they also shouldn't be smoking pot at the age of 2.

Wow, some pretty overwhelming opinions on this one. I am for the most part with TT I know. That is why our beloved plant is and will be illegal for a long time. The guys were stupid! Especially taping themselves, but heres a thought also. For those that have kids will know what I am saying here, the uncle, 17 by the way, was watching the kids and his buddy stops by. They want to blaze but uncle is "babysitting". Where to go? Well just do it here, now kids start bugging trying to grab, wanting to check it out. Uncle lets them check it out. Stupid yes, but not reason enough to break up entire family and live in hell till they are of age. Way out of proportion. Thats my take on the whole thing.
News also said sounds like it happened more than a few times. Funny as hell at the end the guy is saying the kids have the munchies. There are worse things that go on every day to kids unfortunately this is top news.

I'm surprised no-body has mentioned that the teen-age offenders were prolly subject to the same type of neglect. Its hard to tell right from wrong if thats how you grow up and all you know. I'm not defending what they did. I think they need a stiff 12 month boot-camp program. Nothing more. I also think child services are warranted. That will at least give the youngsters a chance at a differant life.
I hope to God this isn't all the next generation has to offer. If so we are fucked.
