Just kiddin bro - good to see ya. Thanks, just like to keep the journals updated, never know when I forget something and have to look it up!
mpro - good to see ya mate! Good idea
I forgot to update pics of the sprouted beans. These are from the first cannister, soaked for a day and folded in moist paper laid in the bottom of tupperware tub and opened/misted twice a day. Residing on heating mat. Looks about 50% germin in 3 days so far.
heya 1toke, gonna hafta flollow this one now to say ya peaked my curiosity is an understatement... hurry up n plant em, i wanna see leaves! clues! this is gonna be cool man, can't wait to see what comes up... peace n green thumbs man
Hey there Sleepy. I stored the jewler's glass, upgraded to the Digital Blue QX5. Now if I can't see the trichs' color I've smoked too much!
Hey night tiger, kingralph - good to see ya bros. Take mpro's vision to PM if you get tempted to grow some out. Just let me make sure this first batch is still viable and let's see if they are worth the trouble. I'll get update pics on soon, the tails are about 1/4 inch long now and almost ready to test plant them in ProMix and one sturdy appearing one in hydro. Got the hydro tubs cleaned out and cycling as we speak for a test run.
Update on the other clones: The sages and Johnny Blaze are just about done from the Mini-Cup and I got the seed harvest in. The new clones of Trainwreck are taking off like gangbusters, about 8" tall now and branching nicely, pre-flowers showing in veg. The Blockhead and Sensi Star didn't make it. The c99 is getting worse as days progress too, think the coco plugs they were sent in affect them poorly, cut the wreck out of the plug and transplanted right into ProMix and it took off. Got the c99 in the ez-cloner cabinet to see if I can still save it, but not expecting much.
So, out of the 4 recent gifteds only the Trainwreck and c99 are left and the cindy won't make it. The wreck will go into the big closet, and test Old Timer beans in the new flower cab as soon as the Johnny Blaze and Sage finish off and I can clean the entire grow room out and spray for mites. Then will start new OT beans and Sage, Sweet Tooth #3 and Blaze while the wreck vegges for a month or so. Also sorting and documenting the bean types of the found stash.
It will be worth it once I get the schedule dialed in. I've got the Sage, Sweet Tooth and Blaze seeds soaking. Plan is to sprout and veg all of them to get cuts for clones, root the clones and flower them out. Then the schedule will have Sweet Tooth #3 in at 60 days, TW in at 75 days, Sage in at 80 days, Johnny Blaze at 90 and Neville's at 180. With the right cycle we should be able to stay in premo bud. But, we all know about the best laid plans of man.
Found a few pics in the camera, the seeded Johnny Blaze at 83 days:
And trainwreck clone flowered, thought I was turnin the lights on and off for 7-8 hours of dark, but who knows:
Here's all the stuff for the mite mix-following a thread on another site-this recipe apparently is in testing phase, almost completed and the grower is planning mass production. From what I see tho it would be hard with a shelf life of 2 weeks, and all the stuff is common and cheap enough to mix up a batch whenever you need it.
Also got the seeds sorted, photo'd and into my database:
My daughter found this nice SpaceCase knockoff for me:
Hey kerozen - baccas - good to see ya. Been a while since last update.
Well, the Neville's mom has given nice beans, haven't germed any yet with a lot of other stuff happening. The Johnny Blaze I found to be a nice smoke. The Sage and Sweet Tooth are keepers, too.
Was gifted Sensi Star and Trainwreck, both doing well - the Sensi is taking off and I'm still trying to get the wreck to reveg (it was in flower when I got it).
The OT Bean collection has some surprises, germed 6 from the A1 group marked Rays Sensi. Planted one when I got the chance and it looks a lot like Sensi Star, growin like gangbusters.
Got 40 plants going - soaked the sage, swt#3 and Johnny Blaze beans I made and planted some already. 100% germ rate on the sage & swt#3's, the Johnny Blazes are taking their sweet time. Got 3 Sage and a Sweet Tooth sprouted and planted in soil, first sets of leaves showing now. Have 23 sprouts planted in soil of sage and sweet tooth.
Will get more pics up later, too many pics for this post.
and feel free to join me fer wake & bake
See ya in chat.
Summary: 40 plants going now:
6 in veg:
1 Trainwreck
1 Sensi Star
3 Sage sprouts in ProMix cups - first branch
1 Sweet Tooth#3 sprout in ProMix cup - first branch
10 clones in the bubble cloner cabinet:
3 Trainwreck
3 Schrom
2 Killer Queen
2 ECSD
WoW 1Tok, your just having a blast man. You got some killer genes running in your grow. I just love the beer cups your using. That what i used for all my seedlings and clones, but the clear see through. Lets me see what my roots are doing and when to transplant them. Boy, you got alot going on. Can't wait to see that small forest for sure. Great job and keep it up.
Take care
Hey Cap, Sleepy. Looks to be nice start for the perpetual.
Hey BG - I used them for a bit but son came home with the reds and they were available!
Mornin chuck! Another Swt#3 sprouts in beer cup, and this morning 2 more in the new seed cups! Must be the 4:19 shirt - we love it.
And what can I say babbabud!
So, total to date now is 4 Swt#3 sprouted & planted,
3 Sage sprouted & planted ,
Sensi vegging and TW still flowering (gonna let it go I guess, with the new gifted clones we can get cuts)
10 clones hanging in there in the bubble cloner - one stem went to mush so I had to recut that one, upper growth looks healthy.
More as it happens, thanks ferr stopping by & checking it out all - see ya in chat.
Checked the grow tonight and more sprouts poking their heads up, 2 Sages and 4 Swt#3 bringing the total of sprouts to 5 Sage and 6 Swt#3. 6 beans poked their heads up 2 days after planting. The successes are all in the sprouting greenhouse with heater and humidity dome. The other two seedlings were in the bubble cloner cab. The sprouting greenhouse appears to be a successful tool in the grow.
Checked the clones, lost one Killer Queen to mush, guess it froze. The rest look good, the ECSD is rooting.
INTERESTING NOTE: 1 out of 3 coco "rapid rooters", 0 of 3 wool cubes, 11 of 26 sprouts in ProMix cups (5 Sage-2@2 days) and 6 Swt#3 (4@2 days). The ProMix cups clearly producing results over coco/wool for seedlings.
