Looking bushier everytime i look in on them
Just added my carbon filter today. mentioned to the misses that i thought i could smell weed as we were coming in earlier and she panicked and demanded she buy me a filter asap, nipped down to greens earlier to get it and fitted already.
There really wasn't a smell in the house but it was beigning to develop in the growroom and i reckon the smell outside was one of my neighbours having a toke. Wish i knew which one, thats me out for a couple of days again

Thought i'd add some notes for anyone who's following. (and for myself for future reference ) Since i'm doing a perpetual grow i am constantly germinating seeds. My germination rate so far has been 7 out of 9. The method i use is the paper towel method.
I fold up 2 to 1/4 size and 1 1/6th size. All soaked in filtered aged tap water. (And it's hard water)
I put a 1/4 size 1 down with a 6th size in the middle of it, put my beans on the 6th size on and fold it in 2. I then place the other 1/4 size one on top. I place the whole lot into a sealed plastic bag and inside a black plastic bag. This gets put into the space between my fridge and the worktop, no plates just slide it in. It just fits without having to squeeze it in. I cant get a temp reading but it must be about 35-40 degrees C.
My beans pop within 6 - 18 hours usually.
In the group pic you can see the 4 different stages of growth. The 2 that sprouted on the 29th july, so are 17 days old, have both shown as female. one is a LR2 bagseed and the other is another onyx.
The next 2 are a LR2 and a Diesel Ryder, the one on its own on the end is another Diesel Ryder, it's partnered LR2 didnt sprout so i germed another and it's in the pot waiting to sprout.
Right now i have another 2 DR's germinating.

Have a look on 'greens' website, yer in the UK aye? they do a couple of different budget fan and filter packages. basically you could get away with their smallest filter, you just need to make sure you use an extraction fan that can pull or push through the filter. I was going to diy a couple of 5 quid clip on fans in a tube and try and narrow one end down to meet the filter, i also had a look at diy'ing a filter but at the end of the day i couldnt be assed with all the testing and worrying if its working ok so i just bit the bullet and got a fan/filter package.
The 3 that i am focusing my diary on are already pretty stinky. Come home from work and step in the door, its really nice to smell fresh air with no weed smell. Very satisfied with the filter. Open the door to the cupboard disrupting the airflow and the smell hits you bigtime, smells amazing but already too strong to leave windows open in the house if i didn't have the filter.
was off work for a coupla weeks, so have been in and out the cupboard constantly back at work this week, each day so far i've come home from work and they are about 1 inch bigger each.

have a look at holland hydro they beat the other two's at price ... but dosen't state the fan make so you could end up with a chinese fan lol
go with a ikon filter(formaly phat filter) they are brill for stinky rooms... i know all about it i'm drying big devil in my airing cupboard and it's stinking the house out ... but i just keep spraying my g/fs perfume every hour... it works for a wee while lol

lol @ getting a loan, yeah it's pretty expensive getting it started. i've spent a fortune.
I thought the phat filters had been renamed to rhino? At least thats what greens are touting their rhino filters as.
the misses asked me how i was going to dry it, tbh i hadn't really considered it, i'm doing a perpetual grow so i cant just use the growroom so i was considering a cardboard box with a fan blowing air out of it and having that air ducted into my passive intake, i'll need to test this though as if it pushes to much air into the intake the filter will be ineffective, too little air and the extraction fan will be overworked. Also too much airflow will crisp up the bud too much :s

ive spent fortune too over the years probably adds up to 5k+... a nice car if i had saved it lol
Go to holland hydroponics and read the spraf that they have wrote for the ikon filters ..it might be outa date or marketing crap ..
