thanks for the tips guys, they sound like good tips but i am trying to behave myself and let everything dry naturally, i went to all this effort for this 1g bud, im gona make sure that i dont waste it!

one of the little popcorn bud off #1 is crispy dry, the other still really wet! it feels very sticky and crispy haha, weird combination! smell is not very skunky, sweet with a tinge of i duno what, kinda reminds me a little of nail polish... ! i duno if its just me or the weed, but it seems to be changing smell every few days?! i might be going insane...

anyway packed it into a bong and lit her up, wow that shit was harsh haha! coughed my lungs up for a good minute! tasted like sugar sweetned grass with a hit of pot, hopefully the slow drying will get rid of that grass taste. after the first taste it was smooth and good and i can feel my face starting to numb up. after a bit more i was starting to be in a great mood and now i feel a little energetic and more awake (was really sleepy). it doesn't seem to be doing a lot for the pain in my back, but the headache thats been bothering me for the last 2 days is gone. i feel super chilled out and have major redeye. lol

So thats the first unofficial smoke report on the LR2 #1, it was just a redicilously small popcorn bud that im sure most growers wouldnt even bother smoking, but hey beggars cant be choosers! Its not the kinda high i was looking for but thats ok luckily #2 and #3 are still going and hopefully will become a lot more body heavy and will make me sleepy, not awake!

also my microscope arrived today so no more relying on the digi cam to see the colors. it was easy to use and at 100x it was very very easy to see. i had a good look at the trics on the top cola, both remaining girls have pretty much all cloudy and no amber on there.

How long has it been drying?

The outside can get crispy but the inside will still be holding on to moisture..

The hay taste/smell will be the chlorophyll (can't spell) that will leave as it properly dries.. you will see the change in the colour of your bud too!

Growing is the most patience testing thing ever!

You wait for them to finish all those weeks... then you have to wait again for them to dry!

Microwave sucks. I've tryed that, not good. Candle works better, takes about twice that time, but much better smoke.

If you do it how I described, and correctly, the bud gets bone dry with no fuss or muss. The thing I would fear using a candle is that the bud could get too hot and start to smoke the crystals off. Its a silly debate in general considering these are last resorts.

its only been drying now for 2 days, the bud i smoked was one of the super small side buds which were the size of a peanut m&m, the main bud is still hanging and drying, i'm trying to slow down the drying a bit atm cos the weather is hot and dry; the bud seems to be drying way to fast. I hung up a bit of moist paper in its box along with it to hopefully help slow things down. I want this little baby to dry properly so i can get a proper high and taste! i won't be curing, but will def cure some of both 2 & 3 when the time comes.

Maker sure you alternate between drying and jaring, WHILE THE BUD IS DRYING, this helps pull that moisture from the inside outwards and it will give the bud a uniform dryness...Now ive got a couple of questions...

Remind me again please, how old was this when you harvested it?
Also how long did the high last in hours?

I think im going to harvest my LR#2 in a few moments... Mines at day 63 right now... im looking for the HEAD high rather than the couchlock high.. If i were you and i wanted the couchlock, pain relieving smoke...let them go until day 70...

If you harvest LR2 at 55-58 days you gonna get racy, energetic, up high.

If you harvest LR2 at 70-75 days you gonna get a stony, couch lock high.

I love the speedy high of early LR2. It is not strong but it is better than all the energy drinks; also it works well with beer because it keeps you up and does not put to a sleep. not a typical mj high.

Good news for me! Thanks alot for providing that info, i was trying to find some ealier to help me decide if i should cut down the LR2 i have going.. So i did, it was at 63 days... ive smoke some sample buds and its deff pretty racy but also heavy at the same time... i honestly didnt think it would be so powerful

nori If you dry your buds too much, a trick to re-hydrate them is to put some orange peel in with the buds.. they will suck it in with abit of orangey zest

well i put #1 into a sealed tupperware container for the rest of drying cos hanging is just making to go too fast! maybe i should of left the trim on her to improve drying times, oh well lesson learned for next time i grow a 12g plant i air it out 10mins then put the lid on, i guess i will do this maybe 3~4 times a day until things look good. The outside is moist again and i am a lot happier with the speed. already its starting to lose that green smell and it is mellow sweet and floral, no more nail polish! the color is slowly changing. its also starting to get a little sparkle to it, heehee

the peel idea sounds so tasty mitch, also sounds like a pretty good way to improve shitty bagweed (not that i plan on buying weed ever again) i used to try and breathe on it and shut the lid, but a peice of zest seems like a much better and tastier way. i will try this with a couple curing buds and see how it smokes, should be fun fun fun!

hey 24/0, it was harvested at day 59, the high from the little popcorn lasted about an hour or so? i am pretty lightweight as well so keep that in mind would be pretty good study smoke imo, i could of used some of its energising powers at 3am whilst studying back in the day! Will look forward to your report on on your LR2, it will be kinda cool to see all these different LR2's finishing around the same time but chopped on different days and what the difference is. It kinda trips me out how much things can potentially change in such a short period of time, what an amazing plant!

with that in mind I will def let the remaining girls finish up to 70 days so i can get some good meds. i might even chop #2 at 70 and #3 at 75 just to see, it will be a nice little experiment! thanks for the timetable herod2000!

it was very undense bud really fluffy

smoke was smooth and really tasty, like flowers or something high is still very energising but it seems if i smoke a lot of it, it still manages to give me pain relief so thats kinda good, just too bad there isn't more!

I am glad my 2cents was helpful. I forgot to mention I use 400HPS:20/4
I also made Bubble hash from early harvested LR2. I smoked it from bong with vaporizer (Herbal Innovations Eclipse Vape h20). It removes some of the edge/raciness from LR2 that you might get if you smoke too much and turns it into pure energy, up, social, zero paranoia high.
Sometimes I cut LR2 grinded buds with LR2 bubble hash to have best of both worlds. I also should mention chicks really like this weed. It makes them very… talkative
I am not heavy smoker. If you are daily smoker these affect might not be so visible/obvious.

herod2000 - your 2c was more than helpful! my first harvested at 59days was definilty a energetic high, surprisingly so! i am looking for a lazy high so will follow your timeline and compare the differences. thank you for all the info about the smoke, i just love hearing the reports but haven't found a huge amount of completed grows to peep at; if you have any pics of the LR2's i would LOVE to see them! also what was your yeild per plant under that light, and soil/hydro?

Infinity - hey buddy, sorry for being slack with the updates, had a massive week, being bridesmaid for a good friend so lots of organising and crazy partying with the girls then the actual wedding fun fun fun and definitly not enough rest dont think ive been so smashed since uni!

anyways heres a little written update cos i lent the camera to a friend so wont be getting it back for another day or 2. Power went off for around 5 hours yesterday so the light cycle was interrupted, i have no idea what 5 hours of darkness in the middle of the day will do but not much i can do about it now

Had an accident with WR2 during watering yesterday, i take them into the bathroom to water and i tripped and literally flew across the room with the plant in my hand! broke her right in half, so lost 2/3 of WR2. Depressing but hey at least it wasn't one of the remaining LR's! WR1 is doing great; lots of growth but still no sign of flowering at all.

Also realised late last week that AK male had already popped a few of his balls! i've since taken him far far away but im not sure what will happen with the buds on the remaining LR2, will they become seeded or is it way too late for anything terribily bad to happen? should i try and get some seeds? Is it even possible this late into flower?

The LR2 girls are doing great, theyre both losing leaves and whats left of the older stuff is yellow, all sugar leaves etc are still very green tho. Been watering with molassas and aquarium water for last couple weeks now? Seems the soil is def starting to run out

#2 doesnt seem to be doing a huge amount of fattening up but sure is frosting up in last 2 days, she even stretched a little more but new pistil growth seems to have really slowed down. i LST'ed the top cola for fun and to give the lower stuff a bit more light cos the top looks so fluffy and crapola, im guessing it will be the same density as #1 if not less, and wont weigh much at all when the time comes.

#3 is fattening up heaps, top and bottom. Also putting on more frost the top really looks nice and fat now, and she still seems to still be putting out more hairs; i can't wait to see if she will get even fatter! looks like there will be twice as much bud on her than on #2 although she is a lot shorter. Am very pleased with the way shes turning out, hopefully will get at least 5g's off her, that will make me very very happy!

Trics on both LR2 look all cloudy with zero amber still (ive been looking at trics on the actual bud) will keep checking to see what it all looks like @ 70 days. If there is still minimal amber then i will chop #2 and leave #3 till day 75, maybe even longer to gurantee the right high.

It's a shame about the broken plant... but just incase you have any accidents in the future.. aslong as the stem isn't completely severed/seperated.. you can fix them up pretty good, if you put some tape around the wound and stake it for support they will heal right back up

There are quiet few phenos in lowryder2 or Joint doctor changed the pedigree recently. I am attaching two pics. The first I grew a year ago, it was 10inch high, very dens buds, great intoxicating fruity smell, pretty strong – that’s the phenol I really like.

The second one I grew few months ago. It was almost 3 feet high, airy buds, no smell, not strong. I was really disappointed. Turned to bubble hash most of it, still very weak high. I managed to get some seeds out of it and I am running them right now. Funny, they are pretty short 12-15 inches lol go figure. Will let you know when I am done.

Honestly, if you are looking for stony, couch lock high there are better strains than LR2. WhiteRussian should be a good fit.

yeah i didnt really realise that LR2 are known for energertic high; i was just looking for something to finish very fast so i can get some exp under the belt and get some bud asap, i was under the impression that energetic highs came from sativas and take ages to flower, i guess i should of done more research into autos! I actually have a couple auto white russian's growing atm, unfortunately even @ day 50ish i still dont see autoflower, will change light to 12/12 end of this week. Also just put 3 afghan kush ryder in soil, i hear they are devastatingly strong, so hopefully those will kick my ass!

Yay got the camera back and here is some new pics of the ladies!

first up LR2 #2, got some LST on top so is kinda bendy now, soil is drying up fast i figured it would be good to let her dry out totally just before harvest so she can freak out and finish up? good idea or bad? a few leaves have already fallen off. Trics are looking cloudy with a few amber, around 10%? She will be chopped in 3 days time



second up #3, has fattened up nicely since last update, and still seems to be going strong! everyday there seems to be new bud growth, tric's are still looking mostly cloudy with a few starting to turn amber, but still very little.
