Yup the bags this round with the scrog are 2 gallon bags. As long as you stuff them full they should stand up good for you.

Ive used 1/2, 1, 2, and 3 gallon bags like these just the cheap panda ones, they work as good as any pot as long as stuffed full like I said otherwise overtime the dirt/rootball will be smaller than the bag and when you water it will want to run down the sides of the bag and out the holes on the bottom making it a pain to water in that case but you can always use a tray under the bags and any runoff will get soaked back up from the bottom through the holes in the bags.

HPS is fine for veg it will be a bit stretchier than veggin under an MH but I think some stretch is good.

dam my friend is a major cheap ass i got as much dirt as he could afford for a 14-15 plant grow so they are not super stuffed but they are still decently stuffed.and i did get him some trays. thanks for the info

Hello folks!

I'm starting a new little grow in two 65l mortartubs with vertical ScrOG, 25l bubbler and 150w HPS. Lamp is connected to cooltube and fan is blowing air through active carbon filter. There are four little cutting ladies in my system and one of them is bigger than others. Oldest sister is about 10 days old and has grown in pure water, when other three have been there just few days. What you guys think, does that bigger lady use all nutrients from tank? Is it hard to keep plants of different ages in same tank? I'm using Advanced hydroponics of Finland nuts and there is now Grow 2ml/10l, Bloom 1ml/10l and Micro 1ml/10l, pH is 5.3 and EC is 0.3. I'm careful with nuts at start cuz I don't wanna overdose my babies. I try to update every week to this thread. Few pics:

I'm just wondering if anyone pulls there scrog screen after stretch but before finish? I'm thinking of trying that, trying to avoid busting some trichs and avoiding that sticky mess of untangling some of the buds at harvest. I have about a month till finish and have always left the screen in the entire grow.

I would like to see replies to this question as well. I could see the up side, but I can also imagine creating a much worse mess by removing the scrog prior to harvest.
Anybody ever do it? How was it?:thank you:

Thanks man. I've decided to leave mine in for now, at least until I hear something different. For reasons like you said, might cause even worse damage, plus it would just suck having a nice bud spring up and get burned by the bulb. I'm just too close to harvest to try anything different that might have bad results. Call me chicken but caution is often the better part of valor. :thank you:

BTW, GREAT stoner chics pics/gif. *applause*

I've grown plants that actually smell like mildew during parts of the flowering cycle, so I wouldn't yank a plant based on the smell alone... I would have to see the mildew first. But whatever, you were just being safe, nothing wrong with that.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I'm impressed bueno. Good job.

I was thinking you had to have used chemical ferts, but I see your sig you go organic. Me too. Soil only too. I reuse my soil and add amendments. I started with Fox Farms Ocean Forest, added some sphagnum moss, then some coco coir and a bunch of perlite to lighten it up. Then I reuse that (5 or 6 times so far) each for grow I amend with Earth Worm castings, blood meal, bone meal, add more organic soil and perlite if it looks like it needs it. Then I feed the microbial herd with black strap molasses for food throughout the grow in my RO. I thought mine were healthy and pretty, but man,YOU got it going on.

Did you do a lot of under canopy cutting off larf and under-growth to get that even of a canopy? Filled up that screen good dude. That's a purty scrog. You obviously put some tlc on them girls. Is that two phenos from the same strain or two completely different strains?

Only tweak I might suggest is next time maybe more trimming before harvest might make trimming easier later. They look like there might be a lot of leaf left on 'em. In that one pic with them hanging, are they still in the screen, or just kept that ultra-even canopy shape? Whatever. Good job!

Edit: I just read some of your diary in the Micro section. I see you use mostly the same as me but some commercial fertilizers. I have just avoided that stuff trying to maintain "purity" in my organics but I think yields suffer as a consequence, so I might try some. BTW, I forgot to mention I also, along with the stuff mentioned before, amend with dolomite lime to buffer it. I also saw one of your plants is Pineapple X and the other a Blueberry X so now I get the darker shade thing. I decided to do a mini-flush and just water with the RO (no molasses) the last couple weeks. I'm finishing 2 Sweet Skunk X Blueberry girls. Next grow is Super Silver Haze X Neville's Haze. I'm so looking forward to that. Gonna be skinny bitches though I bet.

Anyways, cool style. I see a bright future. Rock on.
