Day 34 update!

Day 34 update!

Here is my bushy bush day 34 into the bud phase.Hopeing to see the bitch swell this week i have been pumping the plant alot heavier then normal with all these advanced nutrients.

Next run im going to do one plant with no nutrients besides the soil and one with it im convinced this 300 dollars worth of advanced nutrients are not doing much to increase nug size or flavor in about 2 1/2 months ill let you know. i think big bud should be known as heavybud instead i think it makes them denser like rocks but not larger.witch i can care less about dense it not my thing id rather have a fluffy bud the size of my head then a small rock of weed. The whole reason i grow is to get them larger nugs that disapeared with dispenceries they all want to break my nugs into peanut sized buds to save me .1 grams of stem wieght so im going to focus more on growing larger colas which i can't get my hands on in the 300 local dispenceries cause thats what i like.

hahaha:laughing: very true darkvade, i 100% agree with you, where did all the big dank nugs at the dispensaries go?? i am also trying to figure out how to get my colas big.. if anyone knows and would like to share it would be great help to us! btw darkvade ur bush looks sooo great, i cant wait till she done! good luck!

It's all in the roots. Some strains will veg big plants with fewer roots than typical. Roots means buds so it's no guarantee the impressive veg plant will yield.

Each strain has a cycle that tells it when to stop (or significantly slow) rooting. Some plants won't root much after initial bloom stretch and others will continue to root within a few weeks of harvest or less.

Ferts enhance the root environment but have nothing to do with the cycle. Stronger solution in flower is either absorbed or it builds up in the soil. A check of the runoff helps to indicate buildup.

Popular nute formulas recommend max dosage for obvious reasons. The strain will pretty much determine it's own absorption rate and runoff strength is a way to gauge their appetite.

Ultimately, I try to save my less than stellar rooters for longer veg periods. This usually makes lackluster yields approach or achieve the average 1 ounce of weed per gallon of soil.

thanks Disco, great explanation and answer to my question. i really appreciate it!
so if i got this correct, veg for longer?

Veg longer if the bloom period doesn't make up for it. Some strains only need minimal veg because they'll root throughout bloom. Too much veg in this case might overgrow your space.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, upping the plant count may substitute for added veg time.

Since i have no clue what this breed i grew from seeds mom is called im going to name this weed xing xsung kush!!:cathug: and the plant on the far right will be the clone of a pk clone and the 2 left ones will be xing xsung kush XXK.And these ladies will be going into flower in about lets say 22 days they will have veged slowly as hell from cut about 55 days under 2 26 w 5500k cfl bulbs. im hoping they end up about 4 foot tall after the strech this will be my last run with both strains im kinda sick of growing the same crap over and over at this point im going to loli pop it so im growing only the tops of these beast hoping that since this is the last run with them i get get the max buds size i can with them becuse we all know how much id like to grow some large nuggets hoping that maturing them this much and only growing the top portion of these ladies in 2 gallon pots will give me what i want out of this herb. keep you updated soon...:artist:

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I like the pics. I'm familiar with the reflector but hadn't seen the bracket.

The lamp might also work well vertically. If you get a free minute, check out BlueGrassToker's setup.

How's the noise factor?

i was planning on going vertical till i saw i could use the bracket. i dont expect them to stretch anymore. as for noise, i hear none unless its drowned out by my fan.
