150w HPS Club and Resource Guide......

HID's get hot as shit with no intake / exhaust and cab temps will sky rocket past 100 quick. With proper ventilation, the temp in cab with HID's will never be lower than the temp from intake air. Keep your ambient room temps in check and cab temps stay in check with proper airflow. Fan blowing on bulb over canopy towards exhaust is a simple fix to keep bulb heat down and get plants close.

Have you seen member "anti's" all in one grow cabinet? Check out his thread in micro section as you want veg/clone/flower room all in one cab.

I veg/clone in PC cab which fits eight 16oz cups with two 32watt cfl's.

My hps is actually set on top of the cab with a hole the size of the reflector cut in the top. That way I didn't lose any head space and temps are easier to control. I have a fan blowing at the light itself, outside the cab.

I actually just bought a thermometer today, temps always seems fine so I never bothered before. The closet in which the cab is located is air conditioned, ambient temps are always in the low 70s. Also the intake is very near the air conditioner vent, pulling cool air in and up.

I bought the therm for humidity, actually. When I bought the ice the description said it likes warm humid air. Does anyone have experience? How much stock should I put in what the breeder says? I assume they know what they are talking about.

I have a couple weeks before I switch to 12/12 and in that time I really have to light proof they flower area. Poop.

So good thing I got the thermometer, set it up and temps are way hotter than I thought. Apparently the hand test method is complete shite haha

Temps near the top of the cap are almost 100, near the bottom high eighties- low nineties. I already have a fan blowing at the light, which is outside the box. Have an 80ish mm pc fan for exhaust, two four inch holes for intake. Temps in the closet are like 70. Eff me in the A.

I guess I will get a stronger/larger fan for exhaust but this blows (not enough, though, apparently). Any other suggestions? My seedling babies are obviously not doing as well as they could be. Growth is definitely stunted.

If theres anyone out there using tents. What size tent's are you using for your 150 grow's?
Just curious.
Midgethorse.

I'll be running a 150w HPS + 125w daylight CFL in a Homebox XS which is 1.9'x1.9'x3.9' and for ventilation, I'll be using a 171cfm 4" fan. 6" clip fan and vornado fan for air circulation.

Cab Built and Ready to Rock.

Using some of the ideas on this site along with a little ingenuity I've slapped together a 150w hps vertical cab. The dimensions are (inside) 18"x18"x24". Still needs some panda poly and the ABS elbows, but that'll have to wait for now as the funds are lacking. An ~80 c.f.m. computer fan draws air through all four walls (each having 2 2" holes)up through the trusty bake-a-round and expelling it out the top. temps are at 77.

I think the easiest way is to pload them into your album then post them.

First, click on the 'user menu' tab within the links provided at the top. It is second from the left in the second row.
Next, select my albums. You will have to set up a new one, it is easy as hell and self explainatory.
Then, you will be given the option to upload pictures from your hard drive. If they are not within the dimentions specified at the bottom of the page you will need to resize them. I believe they will be done automatically, but often distorition can occur.
The easiest way to change the dimentions is with paint.
After you have uploaded all your pictures, you can then post them to a thread with very little trouble.
Simply choose the thread in which you would like to post, but instead of using the 'quick reply' window click on the 'go advanced' button.
In the bottom left, under the smilies, there will be a link to 'your pictures' or 'your albums' or something along those lines.
By clicking this you will open a new window in which your albums will be displayed. You can then click any picture you wish and it will automatically insert the code into your reply window. The pictures are smaller versions, but each is a link that will open a new window with the full size image.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a million other ways, but this way you can at least avoid having to use photobucket or its equivilent. ICMAG servers are in Amsterdam, I think, so should be pretty hard for leo to track down.

Folks, using any photo hosting other than what is offered here is a bad idea for many different reasons. The most secure way of posting a pic is by the means offered here.
Besides, their servers suck and often screw up the pics...we don't need shoddy pic service here.
There is no way in hell you can keep yourself completely safe when using those sites to post lots of mj pics. You screw up and list a shot as public, and first thing you know you have some over zealous vigilante going on a mission to report your shot, which in turn brings about a breach in not only your security, but the potential of risking others security is also there.
If it were my site, I would not allow other pic hosts.

FWIW...there was a chap posting pics here from photobucket and I notified him that his real name was actually the name of his account and was pasted all over the info of every shot he posted.

I strongly agree with hoosier here. The ICmag servers are still running in a'dam and have just recently checked myself. Also it would make it plenty easy to post pictures in threads using their system. Aside of that any pictures I will be posting myself will be hosted here when I get to it in the future. Take care and be safe all.

Im not one of the stoners who hides the fact anymore. Im not exactly going to go and directly out myself, but i am not ashamed to smoke/grow marijuana and if they bust me for it that is just another victory for us in the end.

im not commercial and i doubt anyone would seriously want to waste their time, as with a lot of people on this website. obviously, some grow weight, and those people..if breaking laws doing so..need to be more careful than I.

as you can see, I have the ballast built in my HPS so thats why I have all the fans up top..is there any way to get rid of any fans?
before I installed all the top fans, temps were 84-86 and now temps are 79...
any questions or feedback is very welcome...
thanks

Run the ballast on the outside is all I can think of at the moment, thats what I plan to do in my build. The fans are kinda essential anyway you go you need good airflow to begin with let alone with the linear flourescents and 150w HPS running inside too. It looks like a nice tight setup to me so far bro. What are your concerns tho if any?
