Since I last posted I've run into a few problems building my micro scrog. Mainly it seems Home Depot has stopped carrying the lumber I'm using! Ugh!!!! I thought all was lost, until a few days ago I had to run to Office Depot for some printer carts. I also wanted to check out a new chair for my office. While meandering through the furniture section I came across what I think will be a perfect micro cabinet. This cabinet is like a mini armour. One side has a door and place to hang a jacket and the other side is four drawers.

Figure I'd use the door side as my flower chamber and then fake out the drawers and install some shelves and use that moms, clones, breeding, electrical, ect.

Only one problem. It's smaller then my orginal design. And as Pipe mentions, smaller you go the harder it is to control heat. I don't remember the exact diamentions, but I do remember the grow area being 29" tall, and for the sake of this conversation let's say it's 20" long and mebbe 18" deep. I plan on buying it Monday, so I can give exact diamentions then. In the mean time, what size computer fans would be recommended for this size? 100CFM? 150CFM? more?


Please let me know! I'm anxious to get this up and running and after fans and mylar, I have everything else I need. This is sooo close I can almost taste that first bong! LOL

I'd like to add to my last question. Since I'd like to fake out the drawer side of this cabinet ala Nimby style stealth dresser, would anyone have a link to how he did that? I've read about his stealth dressers over on OG, and I kind of remember how he did it, but it would be helpful on refreshing my memory. I searched the boards here for what seemed like hours last night and found no direct link showing how he did it.

Thanks for the compliment. I don't even have a great camera, its a sony cybershot 5 mpx just point an shoot. Half the time I don't even look in the viewfinder or the screen, I just pop pix!

So, jUst a question about my setup.

right now I'm using the reflector that came with the security light, I made a few little adjustments. But I'm wondering if it would be better without the reflector and just hanging in the middle of the room?

Whats ur thoughts?

admiral,

some kind of reflector is a good idea. the one that came with the lamp can certainly be improved though. i use a batwing style one as it fits my cab but if you search you can find plans for an easy diy octaganol one that should work well.

and your plant looks great i'm really looking forward to watching your grow. i have some female seeds i am hoping show up soon (g-fruit, ice, white widow, and superskunk) we used to have a 150 club member named bong hit and another guy guanito who both really liked their stuff and your grow only confirms that

Hi guys, checking in again with my 150w grow. I'm completely out of space, but I think they'll hold up for the last few weeks of flower

I'm on a time deadline to harvest August 17th and I'm currently at 31 days flower. Hopefully 49 days will be enough

hey cured I have had success speading things up by doing 11/13 - i finished a 60 day strain in 51 by running first two weeks at 11/13 and then again in last 10 days + 2 full dark.

switch now to 11/13 and maybe go 10/14 at the end. i know some pure sativa growers who do 10/14 the whole way.

Strain reccomendations for 150's with limited headroom? I know I've heard about Northern lights being pretty good...but what about the NL#5xHaze? Any others?

Hey od, what exacally is limited headroom? I wouldn't worry too much about size as with finding the kind of high you want. Within reason ofcourse. you'll find you can do lot's of stuff to minipulate the plant

While it's true you can bend almost any plant to your will I'd steer clear of the NL#5 x Haze, I've heard mixed reports as to finish time (some past 80 days) and overall quality of the final product (hay like). Maybe I'm in the wrong crowd but I haven't heard any body swear it's the bomb.

If you're interested in a similar buzz with low odor profile check out the NL x C99.

There is alot to be said for trying a female or feminized strain in micro growing as it is a royal pain in the arse to have to flip and then cull. C99 looks mighty fine from admiral's grow - maybe you should give that a shot.

I've heard good things about Nirvana NL5 x Big Bud, maybe that's a more worthy cross than the Haze?

hey user name,

the cabinet is looking nice - day 58 or so - well into flush on both strains - the oregon90 is turning a dark purple/black on some of the buds and the trainwreck is just getting super fat - I had to chop two buds off as the stems were not able to hold them up anymore
