green i'm sure the nigerian will be awesome inside i just was suprised at the choice. i'm a big fan of reef's gear as being unique and consistently top notch.
mmmm nigerian. keep us posted! which one? Niger.Nightmare?
and hey bud, if u need basic tek help, feel free to pm me friend  heres a direct link to download pics to yer gallery fairly easy.
note: you must be signed into icmag for the above link to work.
light her up, artie . would love to see more of what people can do with a 150.
yes, cap, nigerian nightmare. this is my first ever grow and i am VERY pleased with her health. i have made a couple of rookie mistakes but she quickly let me know about it and responded wonderfully to the corrected measures. greatly appreciate the offer of tech help; if i find i need the help i will be sure to take you up on it.
Anyone know how to figure necessary intake/exhaust/cfm requirements? I'm trying to copy the NGB style cab, but I am a little concerned that my ventillation is going to be a flop..
I'm going to run a 150w HPS Conversion and occasionally swap in my 175w MH for some short veg time. I've actually gotten INSIDE the cab while the door was closed (in the flower chamber obviously - i'm a little guy and with the mother chamber door closed with utility door open) and I can feel a mild breeze out of the passive intake. (About the amount you would use if your blowing on hot food to cool it off to give you an idea.) Supposedly my fan (the 6" In-Line Duct Fan from Casa Depot) does 150CFM's free air so I would guess that its reduced by around 20% with my 9" Custom Carb scrubber - down to say 120CFM? I figured I have around 18cubic feet so that SHOULD allow the air to change 3x/min. which I think is the goal. Also I have a 100CFM Muffin style fan which I will either put in the back of the utility room up top or on the back on the side wall. Thanks in advance everyone.
Thanks for the advice. I was just thinking though seeing as how the fan IS a booster, wont it help also to have the 100CFM muffin fan in the utility room exhausting? I don't know much yet about ventillation but it seems like that will also help pull air from the mother/flower chambers.
So are you saying another fan exhausting out of the utility cabinet? This might work. Like I said it really will come down to how well you can keep temps under control. Maybe if you shut all the doors except the utility room and see how the temps are. Another trick would be to put some incense in the flower room with the fan off to let it fill with smoke. Turn the fan on and if it pulls the smoke out quickly (under a minute) you're on the right track.
Nice pics Bob91 - they seem to be coming along well!

Thanks again sugabear. Heres my design basically-
I used this muffin fan on my old cab as an exhaust and it blows pretty nicely. The air flow is passive to create the negative air pressure. Thru the mother room, then thru to the flower room - then in the carb scrubber thru the ducting and being pulled thru via in-line duct fan and dropped in the utility room. Then the muffin fan will exhaust the warm/cleaned air out the back.
Essentially, I used your idea already except with a cigarette. I sparked it up and put it in a shot glass and just let it burn, closed the mother and flower chamber doors and left the utility door open. Now I can only guess that this must be a bad thing to do a test with, but the smoke did exhaust out the utility door. The smell was like .. the smell you notice in a house of smokers when nobody is smoking right then. Now tobacco from my experience tends to stick much worse than weed. Do you think insense would be something better to test it with? Should I try sparking up a J in the flower room? & Lastly - do you think the muffin fan exhausting will help pull air thru the carbon scrubber?
Yes, the exhaust fan in the utility area will help create a slightly more negative pressure within that space as long as there are no airleaks around the utility door. As such, it will reduce the load on the main fan and help it to work more efficiently. However, here's two things to consider. First if the utility door is not properly sealed, the small fan may just draw air thru the leaky space from outside your cabinet. Air flow always takes the path of least resistance. And second, make sure there are no leaks around where your main duct passes from the flower chamber to the utility area. if there are, you will draw skunky unscrubbed air thru them and exhaust it out of your box.
One last thought.... you may also need to put some sort of catch on the utility door. Your main fan will be pressurizing that area and try to blow it open. If it succeds, the second fan is serving no purpose.
Artie, The C-22 is about the same size as my box. Check out the link in my signature, you might just get an idea. I'd love to see a few more larger boxes on this thread.

Durban, I was just taking a good look at your pic's. The only area that give me reason for concern, is the size of the air pass-thru between you veg and flower area. You could have a movie-set wind-making machine exhausting air from a box, but is the intake hole is only a couple of inches big it just won't work. It could also create too large of a load on your fan and cause it to fail prematurely. JMHO
hey artie I think a cat by the name of senseless was running multiple 150's in a c-22.. and username I believe is running a 150 in a c-13 or c-25 and I of course use the wee little u-2.
Hi Pipedream - how's it going?
Durban - I agree with what pipedream said whole heartily, the utility room must be air tight such that the only air coming in is through your scrubber. Also if your duct fan is more powerful than the muffin fan you could have positive pressure in the utility room. Ideally you want the muffin fan to be more powerful than the duct fan. I'm personally a Keep It Simple Stupid kinda guy so I'd just use one fan exhausting the utility room to avoid this issue. And if the muffin fan isn't strong enough then I'd get a bigger fan or add a second muffin fan. I think that would be a really cool idea for your setup. have two muffin fans, one on 24/7 and one on when the lamp is on. Just a thought. [i.e. - one both running when lights on.}
oh hey and pipedream snuck in another post before mine - yes artie pipedream's is also a wardrobe sized cabinet similar to the c-22 - sorry pdb didn't mean to leave you out.
some day I might actually get a bigger cabinet... I've really been considering the c-25 (c-13 replacement) for a expanded grow - my current cab is maxed at 2 buckets - i could get 6 buckets in a c-25.
day 51
this is the tw full plant shot
close up
and another
I'm really starting to like what I see in this plant - nice sativa buds - super coverage of tiny head glands on the inner flower parts - stacked calyx's - next few days I'm hoping to get a little more swell and watch the hairs turn till i see some amber under the scope. I think this one will take another week and a half.

p.s. - I pulled out the old avatar - ahh feels gooodd
hey everybody..mind if i join in, soon as i get my flower cab running w/ 150hps my mj is still in veg right now at jus about 4 weeks under flouros. post pics when i get my flower cab running. should be a while yet tho..
