thx a lot man i think i'll go with a light spray of soapy water and maybe some sticky strips that i sell at the nursery. i'll let you know how it goes

Someone help my plant. This is the HB I dont know ph dont have a tester no money lol. There are little white spots spidermites maybe? But i dont see them nor there webs. The leaves turn yellow in spots at first then the outside bends in turns yellow like its burnt? The fan leaves are really droopy too it could be rootbound and if that is the case there is nothing I can do about it.If its thirsty I just watered it so I dont really know whats wrong here is a link to my PHOTOBUCKET pics please help me.If anyone knows a really easy strain to grow that helps with muscle spams, tremors, muscle aches and insomnia that would help too.Hope this thing lives 50-55 more days so I can harvest it.Dont know though really hope so just dont know. This is my first serious indoor grow so mistakes will happen and I will learb from them but how do I learn from them if I dont evan know what the mistake I did is?Sorry for the rant just kinda upset.http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc240/nousernamethankyou/

The buds are getting abit bigger.the smell isnt there much but when the plant gets to moving its smell has more berry smell to it than lemon now smells real nice though.I have some problems but you couldnt see them in the other pics I took the droopiness was from the plant being thirsty. There are damage to the two bottom fan leaves and on second row fan leave that has just started it looks like.http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc240/nousernamethankyou/picsoftheop070.jpg

<a href="http://photobucket.com" ta...haring and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a> I dont know what is wrong with this link but it still works. Here is a canopy pic of the plant.http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc240/nousernamethankyou/picsoftheop077.jpg

igrodadankest: Plants look nice and healthy man! You should be proud. I don't know much about diagnosing plant problems, but the droopiness might be heat realted. What are your temps running? Also, it looks like something is eating your plants. Check the under sides of the leaves w/a mag glass or scope (if you have one. If not, you can pick up a really cheap mag glass at the dollar store or Big Lots.) Probably nibs or mights.

igrowdadankest : i agree with vintner, the canopy shot looks especially nice . my plants generally don't look this good, this far into flower, and they always make it to harvest, so don't fuss over them too much and you will be fine ! by all means, check them for pests though.

Thanks Vinter and Green.Yeah I think the leave damage is from spider mites.I went to Walmart to try and get some bug spray but couldnt find any.I dont have a hydroponic store close to me either.I do however have some neem oil should I try that on the undersides of the leaves?I really dont know if I should use it though becouse the buds are just now forming and neem makes it taste like shit.I heard you can make your own but I dont know what stuff to use.I know you use soap but what else do you mix in with it?The droopiness stopped after a good watering so I think it was just thirsty. My temps when the light is on are 75 on canopy and 74 in the box with humidity being 35% to 40% and when lights are off it is 70 with humidity 42%.i am hoping I wont run into mold.I had to set a ps2 in the box at night so the temps dont get too cold and I accedently left that little green light untaped :cuss: Owell I dont know if it did too much to it.I am also getting a pocket microscope today to see if I find anytihng and to check for trichs when the time is ready.

igrowdadankest: My best advice to you is to do a search to find out what others use for mights during flower. I've heard that no pest strips work well, though you might have a hard time finding them this time of the year. What ever you find that works for you, I'd (1) stock up on it, and (2) spray your grow box down w/a pretty heavy bleach solution before you do another grow. My flower box has fire wood stored in it durring the off season. A couple of weeks before I go into flower, I seal it up and toss in a bug bomb, then soak it down really well 2 or 3 times w/double strength bleach and air it out really well, and I've never had a problem. Another thing I do is catch a half dozen or so spiders and/or lady bugs from my vegi garden, and relocate them to my flower box. Not all of them stick around, but the ones that do seem to thrive.
P.S. I don't tell my wife I do that LOL.

I'M back. waiting on a fresh order from seedbotique.

i had to pull the plug on my last attempt at 17 days. now i have a partner... sucks but 50% will be mine and i got 3 big closets to choose from.

i ordered the same exact 2 strains hashberry and safari mix again. :)

so with 2 150 hps i can to 4 plants really right? referdan i'll be waiting for your pics :))

Softy: It depends on what method you use to grow. LST, Scrog, Super croping... You should check out PipeDreams grow (in his signiture). He does 6 under one light, but I don't think he has them all in flower at the same time.
IMO you should not share your grow or tell anyone you grow who doesn't have as much to loose my by that knowledge as you do.

I harvested one tonight at 7 weeks of 12/12. The damn stupid PM showed its ugly face again!!! it was on some very small flower leaves and one portion of the stock so i pulled one plant and carefully chopped all the funk off of 2 other plants.

My guess is about 7-10 grams off of this plant. The plants that i put in a couple weeks later already look to have larger buds then the ones that are 7 weeks flowering, and the ones i flowered like a week later and used bushmaster on look even bigger. So hopefully i'll get some good yield out of these 8 plants. Seems like the longer veg time/ more roots are adding to bud size. I really didnt even fill out all of my space either so i'm going to veg the plants even longer next run.

Sorry for no pics, i have em, ive just been having really bad luck uploading them. I either try to load them when the site wont let me, or i upload em and they turn into little red x's and have trouble re-sizing. I dont know why though, it always worked every other time for me. I'll spend some time after work tomorrow and try to get it figured out, but i bet the site uploading will be down... :badday:

The plants are frosty as hell though, they started a N def and kept yellowing bad throughout the end of the grow, even plants that i fed a bunch of N to still didnt fix the def, i dont know what the problem is, i gotta figure it out though...maybe just the natural maturing of the plant. Next round im just going to feed with teas. F this "put the dry ferts in the soil before the grow" method, i'd rather have a little more control over the nute schedule. I am bubbling the water to get rid of the chlorine anyways, so why not put a couple teasponed of EJ in there to get the nutes going...

hey reeferdan - sorry to hear of your PM trouble and upload issues - I hope you get that figured out - what is your R/H? do you think the candy shiva is particularly sensitive to pm? maybe time for a new strain?

anyways glad you got some harvested and the rest are coming along nicely - I'm dying to seee some pictures.

Yeah I'd try maybe running some in straight promix or fox farms ocean forrest and feeding teas and organic based fertilizer - gives you much more control IMO.

hey all,
just wondering if anyone has had any experience with PRO MIX ULTIMATE ORGANIC MIX? i just transplanted my seedlings into this stuff and they look great! it has mycorise in it, and someone asked a good question, will h202 destroy the mycorise?

.. heres the thread for the mix, there is a really detailed explaination of the organic mix itself..... PRO MIX ULTIMATE ORGANIC MIX

Is this cab big enough..?

Is this cab big enough..?

Hi 150 watters,

I'm going to have access to a table saw in a few days so I'm planning on building a custom grow cab out of my tv stand. I've been reading the thread heavily and am impressed by everyone's ingenuity and hard work. The TV cabinet that I plan to use is 30"Wx251/2"Tx18"D. I want to do an NGB style cab so I can have a veg box too. Here is a diagram I drew in MS paint:

I was wondering if this is enough space for running a 150w, and what kind of ventilation I'll need. Will computer fans suffice or should I upgrade to something stronger? Thanks for your help.

18x18 is a bit small, but if you keep your plant(s) small, you should be fine.
Heck, people grow in PC towers. That's a good size foot print for a 150 scrog grow. I would definately beef up your ventilation though. If noise and oder control are not conserns for you, you could probably get by w/a cheap bathroom exhaust fan. $15 at HD
Good luck w/your project, and be sure to make everything light tight. Let us know how it goes. Stay safe all.
P.S. Nice job w/paint

I would get this one as it is $29 cheaper... and then remote it following the DIY in my signature entitled converting a security lamp to a grow light or something like that.

uglybunny - sounds like a reasonable space to me 18" square for the 150 is 2.25 square feet giving you a solid 67 watts/square foot. You'll need to scrog or LST as your height is low.. all of which vintner said  sorry for not being around as much bud - thanks for keeping things up in the mean time

Pulled this old picture out the other day - oregon90 under my 150

R/H is max 55 min 30
Honestly, i really do think that the shiva is sensitive to pm. I gave a buddy a clone to mother out and he's never had PM in his little clone/veg closet and when it hit my clones the first time i went over there and not only was it on the Candy shiva, but a reveg of my good purple grape ape from my first grow, and a crazy ass clone/reveg of one of his outdoor lavendar crosses that has been going for a couple of years. So i think the shiva either had it or cought it and then spread it to the other two strains.

The other 3 from the first round of 4 will be done next week. This is supposed to be a 7 week strain so im just letting them mature a little more this last week. (Shiva Skunk is a NL/Skunk1 cross just like M39, so its a fast strain like M39, named for its 39day flowering period)

The next two plants will be done 10 days after that, and the next two 10 days after those, unless the bushmaster's cuts down on the flowering time like some people have reported, but if it doesnt they are staggered by 10 day intervals.

Sorry, i did a bunch of x-mas shopping today so i didnt get a chance to try to upload the pics, i'll spend some time tomorrow.

The plants that are still flowering and not finished for a while will get a treatment (foliar) of "serenade" to battle the PM, i thought after two foliars the pm was gone, but it F'n came back!!! ha, sorry hopefully it goes away.

Reeferdan, dude - ditch the candy shiva - sterilize everything and try a new cut - it sounds for sure like that cs is carrying pm - I had a plant that got systemic fuseriam infection passed it on to the clones - rotted the stem right above soil line - turned it black and weak and eventually just killed the plant - I was able to control/combat it with h202 directly on the stem and a computer fan blowing directly on the stem but I never fully got rid of it and lost a couple of plants to it - systemic infections are really hard to get rid of once established they go with the clone and on and on.

I've seen my friends garden webbed over in a week from spidermite egg infected clones brought in from another garden - we finally got rid of them through a couple of safers soap sprays and weekly water sprayed up under the leaves - but then they came back late into flower - nothing could be done then and I'm afraid we all smoked a few bugs that year... had to ditch the strain even though it was good herb.

That's the worst is that often times the clone will be healthy and it's only when put into flower that the problems come out.

That's why seeds are a nice option - I mean you cali boys do have it nice being able to buy clones that are preselected by someone else from larger grow outs of seed plants - but it also introduces all of these issues with pests.

I want to go with seeds as well, i just need a better veg setup to get the whole mother selecting/cloning process going. Its just too easy for me to drive to a MMJ despensary and say, 10 granddaddy purple please, or 10 white widow/ak47/purplekush/shiva/bubblegum bla bla bla that have already been selected. Soon i will need to be self sustained, as i'll save money in the long run, but as of right now, i need to just purchase clones, always make sure i have like 2 extra to mother out, and then try to practice cloning. Im still about 0/10 of my attempts. When i build a new box strictly for veg, i'll dedicate a section to make a perfect environment for clones.

I dont know if i said this already but,
A buddy of mine sold me a 1/2 oz of trainwreck that was seeded for $20. I went through it one night and broke it all down and seperated the seeds and ive been smoking the shake since, but i got about 100 nice trainwreck seeds now i might go though. It would be nice if it was an indica for my type of grow, but i might have to see what i can do with the TW.

Im wondering how it got so seeded... I know his grower uses only clones, and grows strictly GrandDaddy purple and Trainwreck. Maybe a lightleak and a hermie that polinated the lot? Maybe it was a hermie from the GD that polinated the TW? Maybe the TW self polinated? Im not too good with breeding and seeding and genetics, so i dont know all the posibilities of how the seeds were made, and what possibility that they have to keep a hermi trait or something like that, but hey i bought the sack just for the seeds to see what happens, and i got 100seeds and like 1/2 oz worth of joints out of it!

A friend of mine was gifted some seeds from up in NorCal and has about 200 seeds, i told him that he should start sprouting them now, we can take clones from 8 diff females and flower em out in my cab, pick the best one, i can make a mom, he can make a mom and then by the time the outdoor season rolls around he'll have clones ready to put outside (he's a strictly outdoor grower, indoor vegger). His buddy said that the seeds he gave him have been bred in humboldt for 20+ years so it should be some pretty stable strong genetics. I forget the exact name, i'll ask him later and maybe someone recognizes the strain?

Im going to go switch computers now and try to re-upload the pics. If you see em in another post, then you know i was successful.
