12/12 From Seed: A Different Way To Grow

has there been a list of compatible and incompatible strains for this tech ?
That is a great question. I have 12 sour lemon 75 day auto's just started. I have run Gorilla Glue 4 12 x 12 start to finish and they worked out good . Also Grand Daddy purple worked good.

I've never tried this 12/12 from seed method before. But I want to test a few plants from a hybrid I made
while I'm flowing another strain. I'm not concerned about yields and just want to add growing technique to
my arsenal.

if you grow from 12/12 by seed - use you flower lighting - many lights come with a veg/ flower light switch - (use the red - infar red and deep red lighting)

I had to try this 12/12 method and so far, I'm blown away by these plants. I had a little extra space under the flowering lights, so I planted some one gallon pots with pro-mix hp with some mixed seed. I'm using GH at 50% with every watering, but I skipped the Grow completely and running them only on flowering food.😎

I planted two different seed runs at 15 days apart. Here's a couple of side shots.😎

I dropped the photoperiod from 12/12 after 30 days to 11/13 for 15 days and now 10 &1/2 daytime and 13 & 1/2 night till the finish. 😎

I can see the yield is lacking, however the quality is surprisingly good, and worth the trouble. 😎.

These buds are getting more dense everyday. I'm feeding daily now at around 500 ppm, (1.0) EC and allowing a little discharge to waste.😎

Its time to take the first planted and let the second planting ripen more. Even though the harvest is much smaller using this method, one could easily plant 5 one gallon pots every 15 days. I'm surprised how well these buds grew using 10 & half hours photoperiod in one gallon pots. 😎

Reducing the plants allows me to lower the wattage and heat, dropping (400 hps). If this was a continual grow, I would plant what I just harvested in sequence. Here is what I have left to work with on the rest of this 12/12 grow test.😎

Now that I'm just using LED to finish the grow the temps have dropped 2 to 4 degrees. Doing the whole grow at night because of temps. Without the 400 HPS, I have less red bands, heat, and I'm using less water too. The trichomes are getting dense to protect the calyxes from LED burn. 😎

Ok, its time to chop chop and end this experiment because the plants can't support themselves anymore. This was very fun and I learned a lot using this 12/12 seed to flower method, plus, I got some stinky and very sticky buds for my jars. 😎

I removed the fan leaves to get a look and process the buds. This is a night time grow, and grew while I was asleep, most of the time. SUPER JUST FOR FUN GROW. 😎

In closing I would say the yield was very small compared to long-vegged grows. It was interesting learning, and feeding different feeds, for different genetics. The sweetest lesson from the 12/12 grow, is one can plant seeds outdoors, 3 months before the first frost dates, and get super nice buds. Today is Aug 4 perfect time for planting fall seeds in cups and put outdoors in 30 days. Where I am, "now" is the "open window" to get nice Fall buds in Oct. Here's the medicine I got off this 12/12 fun grow. Thanks for letting me share. 😎
