Hello 1000watt club I have been a big fan of the Stacks here go some pic overload of some of my ladies basking in 1kw or 2kw artificial sun, did someone say they wanted some pictures?
wake and bake nitetiger
i want a membership card to the club. right now i run 2 1k sunmasters. started with 1ks, will use them until im dead and gone. time is money and the extra change on the electric bill is nil compared to the rewards from the 1ks.
heres some pic of a young garden. new hut. my clone stock was kinda low so the ladies in the pics are from a test run in the new huts. more pics as the garden grows and matures.
nice all i use a 400 hps could any1 tell me how much more
electricity a 1k uses verses 400 600 i want 2 upgrade
i would greatly appreciate any and all info
LOl. Funny guy. Ok, lets use a number for the price per kilowatt hours. Why don't we use .12 cents. Therefore.... a 400 running for 12 hours a day for 30 days will cost you about 20 bucks. At the same electric rate, a 1k running 12 hours a day for 30 days will cost about 48 dollars. Just for reference, a 600 will cost about 30 dollars. When you actually calculate it down not only does the cost look less prohibitive but you feel much less paranoid about your power usage since it really ISNT that much. Plus, I haven't heard of people getting caught unless you're actually stupid enough to steal juice (and I am still in disbelief at how braindead some people are).... but anyways. I think that's the answer you wanted. I'm upgrading to a 1k after I run a few cycles with my 600. I have a new hortilux and I wanna have a few more grows under my belt before I go buy the 1k. Plus, summer is coming :-D.
I am running a 1kw HPS for the whole life cycle,
also I am doing a soil grow with some bag seed until i get my beans in the mail.
I'll have pictures up soon.
I use a 1000 now, on a lightrail over a 3 x 5 foot area, fully ventilated, about 12" from the tops of my plants. I also have a 600 I am not using right now and have used 400's, 430's, etc. Without doubt 1000w is the way to go, although if height ( or ventialtion) is a real issue they can be impractical becasue of the heat. I have had pretty good results with the 600 too, but you get alot more yield with the 1000. But it isn't like a 1000 is a little hotter than a 600,......they are ALOT hotter.
