Dr Bloom's Perpetual Closet

Hey guys and girls, i'm Dr. Bloom. I've been around ICMAG for a while now, so some of you may know me a little bit. Everyone is welcome here, so lets get going.

As the title suggests, I have recently built myself a perpetual closet setup.
I built an all-in-one unit that fits inside my closet. It has a 400 watt ceramic metal halide flower room and a 250mh for the veg room. I am exhausting the box through a carbon filter using a S&P TD-150 inline fan and a CAN33 carbon filter.
I grow in Fox Farm happy frog, with a bit of perlite, bird guano, and epsom salt. I was using Pure Blend Pro nutrients until recently when I decided to give hydro nutes a try. As soon as I started feeding with the General Hydro 3 part nutrients at the dosages recommended on the bottle, I saw my growth skyrocket. Because of this I have been running the GH3part for the majority of this grow. The only additions to this have come recently, when I gave FF Beastie Bloomz and Canna PK13/14 just to give the buds a little boost.
Anyway as the title says I am doing a perpetual. It certainly doesn't look like a perpetual now, but i'm hoping that if I stagger the next few plants I put in (Cherry AK-47, SFVOG, and FLO) I can get things going right. Timing is just off because by the time I finished the box, I had 6 plants already almost too big for the box, so I threw them all in at once.
Anyway let me get to the strains I am running:

F-13 (DJ Short) (2 clones from the same plant grown from seed in my last grow)
Sensi Star (Paradise)

Hey Doc. Seems like a lot of watts for a closet so I'll just stick around and check it out if it's alright. Interested to see how the recirculated air will affect your temps in there.

the closet doors stay open a few inches all the time to get the air circulating in the whole room rather than just the closet.
temps inside the flower area seems to run about 5 degrees higher than the ambient temp of the room. so far, temps have stayed below 90 inside (even today, when it was almost 90 outdoors and nearly 85 indoors!) while the 400 is on, but when running this setup in the summer the light will definitely need to be on at night rather than during the day.

The Clones: G-13 and Purple Urkle

Thanks for stopping by, i'm happy to have you guys. I've got some pictures to share with you today. First off......I have a few medical club clones! This is my first grow with clone-only genetics. I didn't know what to expect when I started, but I must say that I am blown away by what i've seen so far. Let me show you what I mean:

G-13: This plant had some trouble in the first month of its life as a clone, and I almost threw it away before it finally started growing again. Once it did though, it really took off. G-13 Likes a good dose of nutrients, and i'm surprised by how well it has coped with getting only a 1gallon pot to flower in, and a 16 oz cup in veg. At six weeks flower this plant gives off a deep musky/skunky funk whenever it is disturbed. The buds at this point are huge, and I am amazed by their density. The tops of the large buds keep growing fast enough to outpace the resin, so they remain uncovered as they grow. The lower parts of the plant are making rock hard little nuggets.
It's enough to say, I can't wait to try smoking this one. The pics are this morning, at 44days flower.






Purple Urkle: A jawdropper if i've ever seen one. People have said that purple urkle is a slow vegger, but I can't say that i've experienced the same. My clone grew from a little 3"clone to a 12" Christmas tree shaped plant in about 3 weeks before I supercropped it and threw it into flower. It responded very well, and threw sidebranches way up towards the light. Since then, it's covered those branches in extremely dense, sticky, and sweet bud. This plant looks like it will be a staple in my room for some time to come.



So those are the clones that i'm running right now. After a few months growing them I couldn't be any happier to have the opportunity.

I'll be back in a little while with some pictures and descriptions to the 2 other strains I have in flower right now....F-13 and Sensi Star. They are both clones of the seed strains that I ran for my last grow.

This is the Sensi Star. It smells amazing but it's very leafy and isn't making the volume of bud that the other plants are.



I have two F13's (clones from a plant I grew from seed). They have been slowly purpling up over the last couple weeks and are absolutely glittering with resin. the yield won't be spectacular but it's going to be very pretty bud, and hopefully will make some great headstash.

the left side is cherry ak-47 and SFV OG scrogs (in need of bigger screens!) from clone. the largest plant on the right is the Flo (clone) and everything else is clones of things in flower.

And a full flower room shot, though you don't really get a good angle on it.

in the back corner you can see the Sour Diesel (clone) that's about 2 weeks into 12/12. it's going to be a bit taller than necessary.

perpetual is the way to go...good job...

Oh, hell yeah!! I like it, Dr B. You got one hell of a lineup going. I'll find a spot to hang out here for a while and shoot you good Karma along the way. This is a "must see" for me. Good luck.

G13 is finally starting to mature. Many of the pistils turned brown last night. Hopefully it's time for it to pump out more resin. Couldn't get a good picture today...so that's still to come.

Nice setup u got there.....how is the smell of the Urkel?? Does u smell some Lavender....I grew out some G13 x Haze and i must say ist was damm...heavy Indica nice hazy taste and what a fielder.....the biggest field i got was from a g13 x HAze.....some G13 x Cindy sounds nice to me...some G99

Hey buddah, the Urkle smells "berryish" to me. It's very sweet smelling, which i hope lasts through the drying.

C99xG13 sounds like a great cross......i'll be keeping my eye out for that opportunity. I just hope I find a good C99 male.

Thanks Blunted! I appreciate the compliment, and i'll have a smoke report on the urkle very soon. I think i'm going to start flushing it tomorrow. Right now.....i'm quick-drying a test snapper on the urkle. Hope it's good at 8 weeks, means it'll be GREAT at 10. Trying a little G-13 too. Anyway thanks a lot Blunted.

F13: This lady is being flushed now. After a few days of clean water she's purpling up nicely. I'm thinking I might chop her this weekend (at least the tops, which are more mature than the lower buds)



G13: This plant, oddly enough, is maturing from the bottom up. It smells amazing though.....and the buds are the most dense I have grown.


Seedlings: I also have a bunch of new plants! 4 C99 Pineapple IBL, 2 C99xHaze, 2 Fire Master Bagseeds, 1 Golden Sour Kush, 1 Blue Moonshine, and mabye 1 or two more.
