Update: the Bloom box may go coco. Heard good things and picked up a bag of canna coco yesterday, so the next clones into pots will probably go in coco.
In other news, the Flo has fat buds, the g13 is growing well and the c99s are well rooted in their 2gal and starting to smell juust a bit. (the Flo, on the other hand, smells a lot but doesn't stink. True to name, it's flowery).

I've switched to it from DWC (because of location restrictions), and am loving it.
The C99 is awesome! I have 3 WallyDuck C99's about two weeks from the chop. Smells like sun-dried pineapple and mango. I was lucky enough to have a male too, so all my ladies are prego (just one branch).

I took a new round of pictures of everything today, but they probably won't get posted til tomorrow. everything is looking good.
C99 #3 is the male. the other 3 are looking pretty girly. Dr B is happy--it's a nice-looking boy. still in there for now, but it's coming out.
I potted a new mazar cut to bonsai. the one we had going looks like crap. the clone is kind of in flower now but at least it is healthy. I put a Grape Ape in dirt too in case the one of that we've got for a mom doesn't look better soon. it's kinda iffy. All the other bonsai moms i've been fussing over are coming along nicely though. pictures of all of them in the next photo update. and Dr B just took a clone off the DJ Flo so that's going to get tied down too.
all the clones of the C99 and C99xSSH are in coco cups. and the original C99xSSH's are soon to be test flowered. #2 is super droopy looking, i always think it needs water but it's just all sativa-y.

we're going to repot the C99xSSH's into 1-gals in a bit, to be flowered in a few days. and photos will happen tonight, promise! including pictures of the bonsai moms. I just tied down the shortened DJ flo, so hopefully it will branch now.

Things are looking danker by the day.
SFV OG Kush at 35 days: Starting to develop that lemony-OG smell.
Cherry Ak-47 at 31 days: I'm surprised by how well this plant has been doing since it was put on 12/12. The bigger pot and the light change seems to have resolved most of its issues.
Flo at 31 days: This plant smells amazing, and is easy to grow. I almost threw away my clone of this plant when I got hold of DJ Shorts Flo mother cut.....but i'm glad I held onto it.
G13 at 10 days: I can't wait to watch this G-13 pump out some fat buds. I love this smoke...and we're running low. Can't run out of this stuff
C99's (1,2,3,4 counterclockwise from top left) at 5 days flower: I've been waiting to run pure C99's for years now. I'm especially excited about #3, the male. He looks just like his sisters.....so i'm going to set him loose on some of my favorite female plants.

The bonsai Flo in the bottom left of the last picture is the bonsai i've been working on the longest. At the time it rooted, we had just gotten the DJ Flo and this cut had become "expendable" so I started messing with it as an experiment. it now has about 6 tiny but even branches and seems quite healthy.
next time i gotta pick a sunnier day to take pictures though, the lighting on these is weird.

Nice grow, I like the trichome microscope shot.
A suggestion: Invest 3 dollars in some spring loaded trimmers, they'd make your trimming job a lot easier.

Thought I'd show our workbench. most of the stuff we use in the grow hang out on or around this table.
those trimmers are all from 99cent stores and they are pretty awesome. i tied string around my fine-tip ones so they can't open as far, to reduce hand strain. since they only cost a buck, we bought 5 or 6 and leave them wherever we might need them.
and here is a stupidly long blunt ash. we never ashed this blunt; it burned all the way down to this point without losing the ash and it fell just after i took this photo. (blurred)
we just put in a big wire shelf and 4ft fluoros for the mothers and clones, so the whole room has been reorganized and it's excellent. HOWEVER....we went clone-hunting today and while the place we intended to go failed miserably by not being open when they said they were, we decided to swing by nncc on the way home and they had SSH clones! so we got an SSH, Headband, and Durban Diesel.
since we pulled the C99xSSH's out of the flower room, there was room to put the Herijuana into a one gallon and flower it. it's a keeper if it's male and a potential keeper if female, but it'll be nice to know what sex it is. if it's a boy it's coming out and the Fire Masters are going in in its place.
The G13 is blowing up at a ridiculous rate. it's only 3 weeks in and already making fat little budlets. we're looking at 2oz or better this time.
on the downside, the bonsai mom of G13 got overwatered (my bad) and might not make it. I put another cut into soil in case it doesn't survive, and put the unhappy one on the seedling heat mat in hopes of drying it out fast enough to save it. any tips on saving tiny overwatered plants would be appreciated, though it's not a huge problem if we lose it since there's others. the other little moms are looking good, especially the Flo (the first one). the Cheese is almost ready to have another cut taken, but it's got such tiny skinny branches... the DJ Flo is finally branching like mad after being tied down. I'm going to have Dr. B do a big update later with all the pictures i took last night, but for now here's a couple teasers.
We just switched to running lights at night; here in socal the temps were getting up to 90 in the cab every day and that was no good. the upside is that temps stay at 80 with lights on, but the downside is that you all are going to get a lot fewer of those gorgeous natural-sun photos I was taking. I know, i know, i'm sad too.
Flo at 43 days. another 2-3 weeks to go. it's now getting only GH bloom and Beastie Bloomz, no N. next week we start total flush:
G13 at 20 days--this has been blowing up at a stupid rate over the last few days.

Sorry to hear about the dead G13 mom- G13 was my first grow, and has a fond place in my heart. thanks for the Bonsai pics too, I just took cuts from my bonsai C99's, and am starting to bonsai a beautiful BB leaning GFxBB.
That Flo is looking beautiful. I just picked up some from a club today, and now im super excited to start my flo seeds. Speaking of clubs, is nncc still a crazy house? It's too much of a party spot for me, kinda feel like I'm hangin out at the bud's house, so to speak.

the g13--it's not that big a deal, since i'd only been working on that bonsai for a couple weeks. I just start over with a new cut.
The flo really is lovely, and such a unique smell. I'm very much looking forward to smoking it.
NNCC is always a zoo on the 20th because of the freebies, and it used to be a zoo on the 15th when that was the only day they took new patients, if that's the only times you've been....I don't find it to be too much of a party spot other than that, but I enjoy socializing with people while i'm sampling and getting to know my budtenders and such. if you just want to chill and not have tons of people talking and whatever, maybe it's not the place for you and that's cool. if you're in the reseda area and you want to try somewhere else, ACC is also a nice spot. higher prices on bud, but quieter, friendly and knowledgeable, and bomb edibles. we go there just for the edibles, really. NNCC is "home".
yeah, i may get up early in the morning on occassion to take pics just for the light that pours in here. we can't afford to run (or buy) an AC so likewise no real choice. we're going to put in a window fan though, see if we can't extract some hot air out of the room as a whole.
actually the other bummer about running at night is that i'm sitting here bored, and if the lights were on I could be in there trimming leaves and watering and taking pictures and such. I've already messed around with the vegging plants as much as I reasonably can. and to make matters worse I have a cold so smoking=coughing and the "Volcano Fund" jar is not nearly full enough, lol.

--I've been several times, first of the 15th (obviously), and try to avoid the 20th. I have a client up that way, and stop by there if I'm headed home during high traffic times. It is a great way to kill a hour if you have no where else to go.. The budtenders are all cool, and I like to pester T1000 (is he still there?). I'm not quick to make friends, and imagine if I spent enough time there, would make find the cool people. I've never had a bad experience there, must have just picked the wrong times to stop in..
I'll check out ACC next time I'm up, thanks!
