The Search for Trip Weed

With a simple search I found a couple of places that still have Double Thai in stock. I got mine directly from Ace, even though they did not have it listed any more at the time. I also think the sales rep mentioned they would in fact make another batch at some point.

I don't agree with you about the potency and trip potential. My DT take my fairly tolerant ass to an uncomfortable place with moderately high doses, but mellow out later. Same sort of evolution as Double Jam, though with different effects.

Yeah it's not that, I wouldn't even have the funds for them anyway at the time. Also buying old seeds from longflowering sativas is a little bit of a gamble, running them is quite the commitment after all, so shelf life is important. Especially if like in this case males are scarce:biggrin:.

Feel free to disagree:tiphat:. Entirely possible that I didn't do them justice or the early pollination stunted things a bit. I guess it also depends on ones definition of trippy weed. I usually smoked two doobies of DT to get where I wanted to be.
What i really like about DT, is that I often did consider to smoke some more, but most of the time decided against it. One of the main reasons why I wanted to get some more seeds. It's a nice change from the fiendish worked indicas & sativas. However, at no point did DT trigger my HPPD, other quicker sativas sometimes do. I'd recommend to get some seeds while they're still available.
I have no doubt that there are some intense plants in there :tiphat:.

It'll always be a personal thing I guess. To me the soaring, mind-expanding, spacious effect can be a little scary. It's like your mind doesn't coincide with your head anymore, but with the whole room. Since I don't need an extreme amount, by my standards, to get there, I consider it potent. If you can handle that sort thing, you may not.

P.S. HPPD - I had to look that up. Perhaps trip weed is not what you need ;)

hey TB,

that Sage and Sage x PHT look awesome!

here are some Tabithas, @ 89 days flowering, still chugging along...

I hear linalool affects the serotonin system which is the same system responsible for the effects felt by classic psychedelics/entheogens, so maybe this pheno could be trippy after all (they have very sweet flower like aromas), we will have to wait another month and a half or more plus cure time to see and a second run will really tell the truth about these plants... as I havent done the best job with them.

Unfortunately, I believe that Double Thai was a limited offer that is no longer available.

I'll be working on you in another area. Make a touch of seeds with every grow, if possible, and save them in the refrigerator. Save cuttings in case you find a spectacular individual. It may be a once in a lifetime find, and losing it will haunt you for the rest of your days.

Dude, I have 57 Double Thai and 24 GN thai seeds left in storage that will be granted to Rough Diamond for its collective breeders to work with... so uhh yeah lots of thai to work with ;)

Exactly, just as there always will be people that get panic attacks from 90/10 Indica Sativas . I can't really say to have experienced much of the negative effects of proper Sativas people talk about. As far as paranoia goes, sure I might walk a pace faster if I walk around somewhere strange in the middle of the night, or if my neighbours out are yelling angry around, I might think they might be complaining about something I did, but that is as extreme as it gets for me. Oh and smoking southafrican ganja daily makes my kidneys hurt a little sometimes .

The only thing that consistently produced visual hallucinations in the form of geometric patterns on rough surfaces, was the Zamal/Thai dominant first release ACE Zamaldelica for me.

Anyone interested that has business with Tropical Seeds anyway, e-mail them about Zamaldelica x Ciskei freebies, i sent them hundreds to give away for free. Still sadly short flowering, but there shouldn't be much of the narcotic Malawi phenos be in there.

Sorry @ mods if this is inappropiate. As i said, no money changing hands:tiphat:.

EDIT: Oh and the HPPD thing is pretty minor most of the time, it peaks at certain times, or even with certain weeds:tiphat:.

@Zapo: do you like Tropical Seeds' gear? I have some seeds of them stashed away.

They deserve their place. I only have personal experience with their sativas, but haven't encountered anything bad. But I see the same problem as with the other spanish landrace breeders, they all have given into the demand for commercially sound stuff. Which has it's place but as things are now always at the cost of more unusual sativas and indicas. I'd say keep your eye out on what JGL & USC is doing and going to do:tiphat:.

@ Waldgeist

Nice to see you here again, are you going to post an update about your ghanas?:tiphat:

Hey waldgeist. In the picture where you are holding the pot up, what is the light green/yellow plant in the bottom left of the picture?? It looks a little different than the rest (still looks good though)

Hi Padrone,

I have only grown one, and it was indoors. For the conditions I subjected it to (LOL), it was not nearly as powerful as Zamaldelica. However, Idiit reports that it turned out very good for him outdoors. I believed he tried it indoors also, and it was not as good. I think it needs very intense light. I will try it again someday.

Hope that helps.

Waldgeist - Love that crazy plant of yours. Nice all around garden. Best.

Nice, I hope you didn't have any legal trouble. That arab dude asking you where you live in your thread seemed pretty suspicious :tiphat:.

Are there any of the Ghana x Namibians in the outdoor bunch?
