Failed Robbery

So my wife came home from the grocery store today to see a black Honda parked outside on the curb. As she approached the house with her keys in hand, she hears someone yell, "get out of the house!!"

Scared, she runs to her car, and calls me... I'm at work. She tells me someone has broken in and I rush to the scene. I call her when I'm back in the car and she said someone jumped out of the house and they drove off. Our 50" tv is off the wall on the floor, and so is our huge computer monitor. The door has been busted in, and our bedroom is thrown everywhere.

My garden is in the basement and when I go down, it looks completely undisturbed. The only thing that catches my eye, is that the door to my flowering room is slightly open. Now, the grow itself is in the basement, all the way at the other end of the basement entrance. It would take a minute to get down there. I run to check it out, and the room itself is undisturbed. Nothing is out of place. I checkout the more "open" area of the basement where I do my vegging and there are multiple shelves with flouro's and my clones and vegging moms. Again, not touched.

I can't tell if they went downstairs or not. But I am for sure they tore apart the bedroom and were planning on taking the tv and the monitor. They didn't take anything.

So what do you think? Think they found my garden in the basement? If so, why didn't they grab anything? The only thing touched was the tv...

Should I shut down? What would you guys do?

id drive up and down the streets in the neighborhood looking for black civics looking the same as the one the wife seen, mark down the adresses.....then take pics of all the owners and then show the wife....

if she points out the guys great, if not just look at which ones might be most likely to be the ones(its usually not hard).....

then take care of buisness

I bought a security system that has a dialer to call , email or text you when someone opens the doors or windows. The whole set up costs under $300. You can get motion detectors with it also. I also use a couple 5 lol good game cameras the IR type and have them set up on burst so they take 5 picts real quick. I did this after some asshole broke into my grow place.

Tweexican sad story bro. But if they were only burglars nothing to worry. I think they shit them selfs hearing someon back home... They didnt take nothing soo they were short time inside. In my opinion its safe. But for sure buy a dog like this one. Friendly for owners and a real fighter for invaders...This breed is much better then pitbull ! Sory 4 my eng. Well, THEY don't know that your wife didn't get the plates. They gotta be shitting bricks right now. Will also tell you more often than not, those dudes will buzz by your house just to see if there are any cops brought in. Just keep a sharp lookout. They may be dumb enough to use the same car.

I have had English Bull Terriers, fantastic dogs but far, far, too friendly for guard duty when left alone. The kennels I bought mine has 50 EBTs, but they found that they have to also have an Alsatian guard dog there... to keep Pikeys [Gypsies] from stealing them, they are so friendly they will go off with anybody.

To the OP, if you are somewhere it is illegal and jailable, move.

Better to stay free and grow again than risk 1% chance of a problem. Think of the monkey with his hand in the jar of nuts, who will not let go the big handful he thinks he has stolen.... and ends up getting caught by the farmer...

all well and good ppl say just move but in reality thats harder said than done, not many families have the spare cash to just up and move.. by the sound of it their just ur standard burglars.. one going thru the bed room and the other in the living room for the t.v..

again like others have said go rescue a dog from the pound, not only will you save a life but hel reward you with looking after ur home.. get a rotty, exellent dogs and no fucker will even try n get in when they hear him bark! stay safe..mrc

You'd be able to tell if they went down to your grow, things would of been moved or at least touched im sure, you could tell surely. I think your just fine / & the robbers were just after your household stuff, electricals/jewelery etc etc, the last place they would of gone would of been the basement, who do you know that keep's valuables in the basement. I would get an Alarm system though, maybe CCTV too, use deterents, a dog is another idea but unessasary imo, get a GaurdDog if you do though. You'll be fine! I know people that have disguised a loft entrance with a floor to cieling cupboard they got burgled 2 days before xmass .

They would not be wasting time unhooking the TV and tossing the bedroom if they had found your grow, they were taking the other stuff to turn into cash, weed is the same as cash, if they found your grow, they would have been focusing all their efforts on it, IMO.

Big Pit or other dog, this will make people look for an easier place to rob.
