They'll cut you a check for $3K?

The users?

Cash only if I sold. I've never sold weed.

Back when I had a whole room to grow in I was growing pounds more than I could ever smoke. So I gave it away to friends.

I supplied a NJ MS patient who was instrumental in getting medical passed in NJ. She had MS so bad she was bed ridden and was getting her pot from street dealers.

$65 an 1/8 is the going rate in NJ and it's about to go up.
That's at a dispensary? Cause I'll sell you zips for $200 and it would be 4 different quarters, seal o mealed. IF I grew and sold pot. We're talking hypothetically here.
A dispensary will tell you about their over-head, taxes, licenses, etc...I live in a Draconian State but nobody is paying $65 an 1/8th. I stopped growing for 6 years cause I could get it shipped to me for $100 a zip from out of state dispensaries.

Full on tard strength..............can't lose.
😆
Not with that attitude. I got a $350 electricity bill today and the AC is on 'fan' with only 2 1K's. Just think what it'll be this summer with the AC cranked, a tent set up for hacking, and an extra light for mother hunting We'd have to go shooting weekly to equal the cost of my pot hobby, allegedly. It is nice smoking your own pot, if I were to grow.. Having plenty of indicas makes me want to try some 'real' sativas-14-16 week bitches that look scraggly and have NO retail value.

'Unstabilized poly-hybrid'. Bet is smells/tastes great!

I'm not disagreeing that the rubes will pay that. I disagree that a dispensary will pay $3K an LB to YOU. Gotta send it to a lab for testing and obviously the authorities will need to examine your grow. They take your fire-arms as they leave. At least here, fire-arms in a grow doubles the penalty. In some states, the grower has to buy a tag for each plant that follows it through the process.

I recall in 2000 when folks were so happy for 'legal' pot. Now I see many states that limit a home grower, even for personal smoke. When ya have a 12 count limit, how do you keep a mother library, much less back-up cuts and plants in veg and flower? I'm an out-law, allegedly. I would run 100 beans this summer, at least. Half of them would be mother-hunting, pulling males when they showed, but that's still a LOT of clones until they sex, then ya have to compare 4-6 females for YOUR particular desires...maybe share with friends to get their thoughts on the buzz. A bean tent...that's another tray of cuts...and with pollen floating around, you're sure to get beans showing up in odd places.

In NJ they won't even let you touch the packaging until you paid for it.

There is no sniffing or visual inspection allowed.
I recall telling folks not to mangle my pot, way before the statute of limitations expired. It's was often dry cause no-one wants to pay for water weight. A leaf in the container will take care of that problem. The joint we smoked was rarely what was being sold. I smoked colas of the best, a perk.

Back in the day, the overgrow days, we get $6000 per unit all day long and people would come back from multiples. 400 a zip was a standard going price and there was no break. Now we come to today where the market is flooded with thousand dollar pieces from out west and you can see there’s nothing but PGR is loaded on all those tiny little rock hard buds. I just keep a little tent now rather than having that 400 for a foot grow that I used to have. All evidence of that is all long gone and now it’s just a little tent. It applies me and I use to pay for my lawn care. It’s great to barter with.

pre packaged pot is something i dont get
at least let me smell it before i buy?!
but im old and crabby
I haven't been in a dispensary but I believe they have samples under the counter ,certain dispensaries handle certain varieties depending on which companies they sell for. At the rez you can buy it by the gram and smoke it right there and see if you like it before buying a larger quantity

It comes down to management imho.

The management style of the past does not work on current generations.

Knowing how to motivate and get the best from your workers is the key.

The younger generations are not lazy they just have a different cultural mind set to previous generations due the to environment they were raised in.

It’s now more about collaboration and working in a more flat egalitarian structure as opposed to the old vertical chain of command hierarchy of previous generations imo.
I beg to differ.
It comes down to whether they show up to work, or to be woke.
And people that are self motivated don't need to be motivated.
Those are the people I am interested in seeing hired. None less.
I am often asked to critique others work products and their work.
From first hand experience I would avoid hiring Gen X on down.
They're not interested in truly working, They want to be catered to.
Working is doing what you are told. You are getting paid for G sake.
Collaboration / Egalitarian is just another word for an excuse not to.
I was taught that at work you do as asked, and work hard doing so.
If you don't want or like that, leave. Go develop and ap or a startup.
And in the meantime live in your parents basement, and watch TV.
Stay out of sight while you're at it. Don't want to be critiqued by me.

Before I retired I remember an electrician apprentice was given an easy job by his foreman. Go around and put the covers/plates on the outlets.

The kids comes in the room we were working in. Plants his ass on a 5 gallon bucket and starts watching videos on youtube.

Then the dumbfunk had the nerve to look surprised when the boss saw him and fired him.

We had a black apprentice and near break time the foreman told him to go around and get everyone's coffee order.

He refused because he "wasn't a slave". left the job and went to union hall to complain it was racist to send an apprentice for coffee. Something every single apprentice in the trades had done before him.
