I've been breeding and making seeds to keep in my fridg for over 30 years. I have Ogerkush seeds from Orangkid from many years ago. These are pure OG KUSH seeds. Although from a female line one male popped up so I have Males as well as females.

The time/work necessary when breeding with selfed plants is extreme. Unless the plants are stable it will not produce stable plants. Starting with plants that are stable is a must. Adding anytime new with a proven stable plant the progeny must be grown to prove stability. This is extremely time consuming that not many will take on. No matter how much work is put in there will always be some that will be unstable. This should be rare !.

Finding males in a female line is most likely caused by pollen contamination. Ive found a few but not possible for me to say there was no contamination. I clean my tents well between projects but its till possible some reg pollen was missed. These plants might not be the best to use for breeding. If they are showing as males there highly intersexd plants and will def pass on that trait.

Gonna be a tiny plant but it is my first run with her so I just need one good top to make my decision on whether to keep her or not.

Nice! I got a Ghost and Tahoe to check out and hope to reset starting this weekend. Horchata going in too! Probably that Bubba too if it will get vegging, hiding under the canopy of the taller plants around it right now.

I’m 99.9% sure it’s not contamination. My issue is it’s not showing as male, it’s lab testing as male and also producing male offspring

I’m have a few seedlings up now but still not sexed. I only gave these to serious cultivators that understand what’s up.

I did Reveg the male to see if he would show female but he held up so far…

I’d be curious to see if reversed with STS or Florel…..whichever one worked, I’d again be curious to see what the progeny looked like…..🤔

Yeah, it seems like the BTY has been released to all the online clone sellers. There are several sites vending it now. Unsure of its authentication however, Hortmans has for 60$, Clone2u has it for 250$, etc.

There are alot of sites and private guys selling OG cuts now, we should make a list of who has legitimate verified clean options for folks.

Well the BTY I grabbed from PCG is in veg right now and will be flowered out by a friend as soon as it's ready so we shall see. It'll be an easy one to verify.

The run down on the BTY is as follows.

The kush/josh d cutting made its way to the high desert region of SoCal which is the Victorville area. Really desolate sparsely populated. When the Victorville crew got the cutting it was just called kush. Eventually they first named it victorville OG then the BTY moniker followed shortly. It's believed to be either the first original Josh D cutting or one of the earlier OG kush s1 phenos to get popular. For me it reminds me a lot of the earlier kush cuttings a la Josh D/SFV/Skywalker. It's a keeper. That's for sure.
What would be your rating of the different OG Kush clones circulating, I have only little knowledge of those genetics, I grown a few seeds made with some OG Kush, my favoriye were:
-Lee Roy from Rare Dankness, a cross of Ghost OG x RD#1 or #2 can't remember, it was my first experience with the OG Kush world and wow I was amazed by the brutal force of the high it had, I could not finish the first joint I made whit her, this does not happen often to me. To this day this one was the strongest OG I've grown.
-Sky Lotus, from Bodhi a cross of Skywalker Kush and Snow Lotus male, I had 7 females most were heavily influenced by the Snow Lotus side but I had one very nice representation of the Skywalker as well, she was obviously very different than her sisters and I loved a lot her flowers, sadly it was a one run and done as her clones didn't make roots.
I have also grown some Biker Kush hybrids from Karma but in those I prefer the other parent of the cross, I need to grow some pure BK to know how she really can be by herself, from what I've seen it is a very good OG Kush to get from seeds.

On paper that LeeRoy was a good choice to be your first impression of OG in seed form….and your description sounds pretty spot on too lol.
