The Zenith babies have greened up nicely after being fertigated with urea/humic. I definitly need to increase the blood/feather meal in my mix if it's not keeping up with such young seedlings.

I look to have two skinny girls as previously reported. I don't see an intermediate pheno at this stage, so perhaps four fatties?

I get a lot of mint aromas from the Panama side, but overall the smell gravitates towards this…

…sour, fruity.
Yes! I’ve got 2 that really went that way but with just a hint of mint to it. One smells like straight up bubbalicious with a tiny hint of incense, and a couple that really went lemon/incense with a tiny hint of gum.

That’s interesting! I posted the same pic as that’s what I thought the Malawi fems smelled like! I’m thinking the M fems I grew were more leaning to new killer fruity, the regs I grew didn’t have any fruity, just resinous, on these probably more old killer. Was new killer used in Zenith?

There is no New Killer Malawi in Zenith. The Zamaldelica Elite cut used in this cross is from the first generation of Zamaldelica which is Zamal A × (Old Killer Malawi × Meo Thai). Zamaldelica feminised is the only version of Zamaldelica that has New Killer Malawi in it.

Thanks @Ur Humbl Nr8tor and @Cactus Squatter for your aroma reports. Nice to see you finishing your Zenith journeys as I start mine.

Photos below of my little seedlings at 2.5 weeks. Their growth trajectory has them homogenising somewhat in phenotype. They've been a bit overwatered due to the big pots and some unexpected rain, but they look to be taking it in their stride. Could do with a bit more N, though.

Over all was a nice cultivar to grow but just not overly impressed with the end product. Ok but nothing stellar. Two diff phenos grown, not incredibly tasty, Stoney enough but I’m a flavor guy and these just didn’t do it for me.

Sorry to hear that @ctg .... looking at your pics i have the feeling your Zeniths didnt like the photoperiod they were flowering under, they were too leafy in flowering, a sign they needed less hours of light per day, that's why i aksed you about the possible light contamination. I honestly think your Zeniths didn't perform up to their best potential, more indica leaning hybrids flower fine under photoperiods of around 14 hours of light per days, but sativa hybrids with tropical roots such as Zenith won't finish properly under 14/10 photoperiods.

Wow
after month in flo there I can say there are only from 3seeds two keepers , respect

probably zamal-thai ? pheno , agressive growth, smells like mango haze with grass and citrus undertone, more decent soft, still lovely smell on fingers ... what more I want? yea 😃
Pheno one , sog type, better louder terps towards mango carrot but also the great acid tone, zamal dominant ?

But when i rub the cut which is in reveg, has leaves coated with resin and its more complex, i cant describe.it well, but you know this is very sympatic, acid like carrot with tropical sweetness, much more intensive than from buds at photo, really in love only from that small reveging plant 💘 After years some good cut, finally 😃
second pheno zamal thai with agresive grow, is going similar carrot, but more melon / pineapple / mango like sweetness, and both looks like middle flowering time nothing extreme, cca 11-12 weeks and yielders too

salute Dubi

Glad to hear you are finding a high ratio of keepers in your Zenith seeds @spoores and plants reeking of mango, sweet carrots and incense, this one looks very Zamaldelica elite.

Thanks a lot for the update amigo @libre :D menuda fiera! She has the robust upwards branching of Panama Goddess, with also strong tropical sativa influence from Thai, with such irregular ripening of the colas (lowers vs upper colas), and non stop stretching-reflowering on the tops, indeed looks quite close to our Thai x Panama F1, probably better due to adding Zamal and Malawi to the Thai/Panama mix in Zenith.
Hope terpenes are starting to be appealing.

Impressive cages you have prepared for your Zenith babies ;) speaks loud about how motivated you are!
You are correct @Ras Kali Rasta as you perfectly explained, Zenith does not contain New Killer Malawi, thanks!

Zenith #4. This has the sour lemony/fruity aroma…but there is some road kill aroma lurking in there As well. Also airier flowers.
Both the sweet candy leaning plants and the other more sour lemony sound delighful @Ur Humbl Nr8tor :yummy:
What about the effects ?

@Ras Kali Rasta leaf septoria on both of them

(and perhaps curl grub in the mix (or even mite under leaf) in the last(? not sure))

Septoria can be a bugger once it gets going on your plants... As its fungal you might slow it down with treatment, I use a bio vinegar that is the product of burning wood, but at this young stage any fungicide will help... It can overtake the entire plant if left unchecked and impact quality and yield.
It is recommended to remove affected leaves (and clean up leaf litter in the area but I don't really do this). Some stains appear relatively immune for the most part, but I've found it effects a lot of strains and can become almost impossible to control if it overruns them while young

Thanks for the tips, mate. I trimmed the affected leaves. I purchased some myclobutanil to spray on them, but got cold feet about using it even this early in veg. I'll try to source some bio vinegar, or perhaps use a copper-based fungicide.

I won't cry if I have to cull a couple plants and replace them with some other Panama hybrids. Thai × Panama, in particular is calling my name. I'm sticking to 6 plants per season for the foreseeable future. I'm always torn between running a pack of one cultivar, or running one specimin each of A few varieties.

4 week update below. They are hungry girls. They are looking to me like they could do with some more micros as well as macros.

5 week update. Every plant is infected with leaf septoria but some only a little. I sprayed them with some copper oxychloride earlier in the week. New leaves are looking a bit yellow, particularly towards the petioles.
Iron deficiency?

After photos were taken. I did a fairly aggressive trim of the lower nodes that showed any signs at all of septoria.
Zenith #6 is the runt of the litter. She will probably be replaced by a CBD#1.

My “runt” exploded into my best smelling pheno 2 plant. I’d let it roll.
