Zamaldelica Smoke report
===================

I pulled a bud from the bottom of the plant about a week before harvest, to let it dry a bit. The bud looked more on the ripe side. The Smell is amazing....Hard to describe the smell, but its exotic and intoxicating by itself. Loaded up the vape. The taste is interesting, can't describe. While vaping it, I can feel the energy increasing...Afterwards, my head felt like it got hotter...and I did indeed feel just a bit of "oh my god this shit is STRONG". I had to keep reminding myself that I have just vaped some zamaldelica.....so dont freak out...it took me a few minutes to get my mind right, but afterwards, I enjoyed a nice clear energetic buzz....Lasted several hours from one vape session. I can only imaging how I would feel if this were in a joint. I would probably need something to do to keep me from freaking out!!! Its a FUN high, but definitely not for the in-experienced sativa smoker. I also can see how using ZAM daily would probably turn you into PURE ENERGY BEING!! This is without a cure. I can only imagine how potent this will be after a few months. SHE IS STICKY!!!! Definitely a good HEAD STASH. The 18 year Glenlivet!! I think I will probably mix this one with a less potent strain sometimes.

That sounds fantastic man! Nice job you did growing this one out. :tiphat:: Last time I was rooting through the stash I found an old 5 bean freebie pack of Zamaldelica. I think these were sort of a promotional hand out before it was officially released. Not sure how old these are. You have inspired me to get these crack'in though fo sho.:)

Anyone still finding Golden Thai phenos(with an emphasis on the Thai) in the Zamaldelica standard? I have a normal semiflowering zamal pheno similar to wilydread's that goes 11-12 weeks 11/13, and this Thai one. The Thai is missing the mango carrot aromas and crazy energetic high. Very muted and deep terpenes and the buzz is even deeper and disorienting, although there is a nice clarity that sets in maybe ten minutes after being lost in your head.

I gave it 13 weeks 11/13 and I feel like it could go more...at least 2 weeks more as resin was just forming. Anyone have experience with this crazy long flowering pheno?

I found the Thai female in a 2016 Zamaldelicia standard pack, and to be honest, it was not my favorite. It took 2-3 weeks longer than the floral Malawi/Zamal dom, and it had a slightly less desirable effect with less frosty and more airy nugs.

I also grew out some Zamaldelicia fems, and these (all Malawi/Zamal dom) were the best in my opinion. I found a few nanners in my standard Malawi/Zamal dom, buts the fems were rock solid for sexual stability. Fems seems to have a bit more vigor, better frost and with the awesome mango carrot floral bouquet, and deep confusing high.

This strain was interesting in that people loved it or hated it. Some complained of having deep body pains and aches combined with paranoia. I found it very motivating but odd body feelings. I have some that has cured for 8 months, will go hit a bowl...

These Zmd fem leaves show some zam/thai influence I think...Totally different leaves though than the 2 GTs I had.

After smoking a bowl of 8-month+ cured, it has actually mellowed into a very nice smoke. Not as many sharp edges!!! Ha ha!!! Really nice head high, floating but relaxed. Cut through the indica that I had been smoking like butter. Quite lovely in fact...

That is a very happy and healthy plant! Nice job! It seems counter-intuitive with the sativa, but don't expect much stretch with that many tops. I grow in a very similar fashion (8-12 tops) and mine stayed pretty short especially from clone.

As for the Thai influence, Zamaldelicia does some crazy stuff with different width leaves at various growth stages, and I think you will have to wait and see on the pheno.

I think that the fems that Ace releases are much tighter in pheno expressions versus their regs, which often have multiple parents for a maximum expression. The two Zam fems that I grew looked almost identical and had Zamal/Malawi characteristics of mango carrot nose and malawi type frost, so I would be surprised if yours too far off from this, but like I said that this is pretty wild and untamed plant. I have 3x Zam regular males and kept both my Zam fems to make F2s and a bunch of crosses to explore. Cross this to just about anything and there will be no cousin fucking, like it is from another planet. Haha

The Thai was easy to spot after 4-5 weeks of flowering because the Zamal/Malawi really starts to get denser and add frost. The Zamal/Malawi doms would finish in 11-12 weeks while the Thai would take 14-15 at 12/12 lighting.

Hi WFF!Thanks for your comment, appreciate the info!:) No more votes for me today...

Those flowering times are for clones I assume?Sound quicker than I expected from seed in 12/12 flower schedule.

I have seen a pic of Dubi's mango carrot mom flowered and the leaves resembled those of the more wide leafed new killer malawis. Most of the plants ( all ace at least)I've grown usually change to more NLD pattern when they enter flowering,so I'd be surprised to see the opposite happen on this one.I 'd prefer to have a more tamed zam/malawi pheno, don't get me wrong.

Regarding the stretch,I was worried that I may have stunted her somehow,Malawi and Tikal are stretching a lot more and they have been also topped and tied, stems crushed etc.Good to hear it can be tamed by training.

I have smoked zam (not mine)from a friend;) and she was clear and uplifting, not very strong that particular specimen but top notch smoke nevertheless.I fell in love with my first zam hash and was later surprised to see the resemblance of the bud to flowered gerrit's cut...Even the same purpling in colder temps. The high was magical and I expect even more from the zmd ,same feelings accelerated/amplified.

I have myself kept some zmd pollen from a beautiful male with a similar leaf pattern(they even both skipped the 3 and 5 leafsets and went straight from one blade to 7 point!) and will use it to pollinate this young lady when she is ready.:tiphat:

After having read a few comments on the Zamaldelica high I burned a small spliff with a prematurely taken bud of a Zamal leaning pheno (thus spoke the horse  ) and the soaring high followed suit in no time at all...profound introspection/meditation joined in after half an hour or so...switching to active mode happens at the snap of the fingers...energetic? yes!
Yet, no good news for my short term memory getting literally shattered or even disabled  that's the hilarious bit...
After two hours I had a strong urge to hit the sack...not for the sake of an exhausted body...that was revitalised right after the spliff...
I just craved to straigthen me old bones and carry on the "wandering"...
phew what grass!

The below pictured lady is an extreme Thai expression, thus spoke the horse again ...and if you cannot see any trichs, it's not the lack of them, it's the high-end gear I've falling behind...
a downside this plant has, thin yet supple branch stems that apparently can't support the accumulating weight...but since everybody knows stakes and strings...

You bet! Those are clone times with seed adding another week. I veg my plants usually 10-12 weeks and lots of topping. They are in the final container of pure coco for 2-3 weeks before flowering, and with Ace sativas I use 2 or 3 gallon fabric pots. So, they already have a mature root system when I flip to 12/12, and thus go into full flowering mode faster. I tried to do up-potting (during flowering) method that some recommend here and failed miserably. The root system would never fully develop and lead to bad ph problems later in flower.

I want max yield in minimal space and this works for me. It makes me absolutely cringe to see people put small plants (with no roots) under 12/12 thinking that they will limit stretch. All they are doing is limiting yield. I have averaged 4-5 ozs per plant with Ace side-by-side next to Indicas that average 3 oz. Plants have been between 4-6 feet tall.

Veg, train, grow roots, flower, rinse and repeat...

Not a new pic. Shes now looking me eye to eye .Around 4 feet tall from dirt to top. too big to move for a pic right now. I think shes done stretching and starting to flower up nice. Stem rub smells like skunky dank old school weed. But heres the thing sugar leaf rubs smell like strawberry pink bubblegum. Almost dead on bazooka joe with slight strawberry backround.

Anyone else encounter theses smells in your zamal/zamaldelica or crosses?

Yes Mr Revolution. Lovely news you got a keeper there. I have just managed to clone my Empress Zamaldelica which is all those aromas you mentioned. It is my third run with her this year. She is my favorite discovery plant in about 10 years... Seriously... I love Zamaldelica.
I was told mine was the Elite Mother pheno as it had such surprizing aromas and terpene profiles.
The dank dank skunky leaf and stem rub. Even today after just two weeks in cloning I gave two away and the guy was already shocked by the pronounced skunk and dank herbiness. !!!
The plant has a bazzooka joe bubblegum element I find almost rose like and floral because of the gernaniol terepene maybe? Anyway it is a plant you need a good carbon filter for.
Once she delivers try to either reveg her or take yourself a clone asap.
You are going to love her.
The resin production is shocking!!!
Terpenes abounding and effect is way way way up there with the very very best. It is refreshing to find something that holds mi like Zamaldelica does. A likkle bit goes a ling way. 5 or 6 hours you be feelibg da bliss.
I am already delighted to be putting her in a 3rd time and have her as a keeper in my garden. Thank you Dubi and Ace Seeds this plant is so super!!!:)
