So the Zams are at 4.5 weeks and are slowly filling in. A little variation in feeding strength, but they are all mostly happy eating out of the same dish.

Here is my favorite, #2, but things are changing rapidly with these girls (8 of them) so my favorite may change in the future. Nice thin leaves on this one and will be all bud-

Here is number six:

Number seven...

and the very tropical and stretchy number 9:

Thats four of them- the highlights. They are getting about ec 1.6 with twice-per-day feeds in coco. Temp is about 75F at the canopy and 55% humidity. All good!

Smells on a few are light-vanilla, almost talcum-powder clean. A few others have a honey/lemon peel sort of thing going on. I'm not great with smells, but more will definitely be revealed.

Nice grow. You are a professional. I am close to harvesting my first Zamaldelica of this run. Been smoking a cross between Zamaldelica and Seedsman's Jack Herrer. It is good but closely resembles the Jack. My flowering room is busting out! Shut down seed germing for about two weeks for it all to catch up.

Thank you- I am focused on good overall plant health, always. I pushed a higher PK in my base nutrient mix and a few of the more sensitive plants showed some leaf spots- they all like a better balanced mix so I'm not pushing them too hard. Also enriching the room to about 1200ppm Co2 and they really love it.

I have gone all in with ACE genetics. For example, these are the last old OG's I am taking down this FRiday.

After this it's all ACE. I'm not too worried. This was a free regular Panama seed- the only one I popped, 5 weeks tomorrow:

...and I thought they only turned red outdoors!

This is my monster Panama Malawi at 6 weeks:

Just to be safe- in addition to the 8 Zams, I have five Guawi's like this one at 5 weeks:

...and three Super Malawi Haze at 7 weeks:

Very well done my friend. All of those are going to be sticky n stinky. March will be fun, but the real fun will start around June after at least 3 months curing. 6 months will be even better. Hopefully you will have enough left by then:biggrin:
Excellent job!!!

Hey, Tang! I definitely feel that too. I have a Zam and a PH x M sharing a 4'x2' tent, and I've gotta say that I'm eager to give the PH x M some more room lol. My to-grow is list getting longer too -I'm with you guys on the GT 3.0, and I want to get some x Panama crosses going. Next round will be indicas and a hybrid though. Wish I had more flowering room...

Beautiful plants, guys!

One of my huge beauties has a cola the size of my forearm. Getting closer all the time. I broke a big bud off yesterday and I am waiting for it to dry. The temptation of Zamaldelica is just too great. Dropped 6 Malawi today. Maybe around Christmas????

Before someone yells at me for posing this question: I did try to search the thread for "trichome" and "amber" but since vBulletin has a bug with lining up page numbers I found it impossible in an almost-300 page thread.

So, I just wanted to get a consensus... are the majority harvesting when their trichomes are:
Partly cloudy
100% cloudy
Less than 25% amber
More than 25% amber

If anyone has tried multiple methods, I would be curious what difference they noticed in the effects.

The early harvest is speedy and overwhelming, the later one is calmer and more balanced.
I like the early harvest more, hardcore sativa effect, but sometimes when it's been a nervous day at work, the edge in the evening becomes a bit too much and I reach for the jar with the later harvest.

I harvested mine once the first amber trics began showing up, it was a mixture through, probably around 90/7/3, cloudy/clear/amber. The plants were still throwing white hairs.

I chopped at this point because it's my typical sat-leaning chop schedule. I chop at the first signs of ambers, as I like the rushier speedy results.

I like around 3-5% amber for sativas. A bit more, maybe 10% for the rest. I think the longer you cure, the more the profile changes to what seems like higher amber percent.
